This month has not been easy. My husband Gabe broke his leg, and I've had some personal issues that I'll probably share eventually as part of my healing.

But I want to get back on track, and take all of this as inspiration to better myself...I know it won't be easy and that I will have better days than others but I absolutely enjoy sharing little snippets of my life. I love inspiring you somehow...so today I want to take a moment to remind you to always keep going- that yes, we might hide behind pretty pictures but we all go through a lot of crap...and we have to keep going.

Este mes no ha sido el más fácil...mejor dicho ha sido de los más difíciles. Mi esposo se rompió la pierna y yo estoy pasando por algo que eventualmente espero compartir con ustedes.

Pero quiero regresar a la rutina, y tomarme todo esto que ha pasado como una manera de inspirarme a mi misma a seguir adelante y siempre ver como seguir mejorando y evolucionando. Se que tendré días mejores que otros pero mi blog..mi blog es mi bebé y es de lo que más disfruto. Me encanta inspirarlas (así sea como usar una pieza o inspirarlas a seguir su sueños); hoy espero inspirarlas recordándoles que todos pasamos por momentos difíciles y aunque nos escondamos detrás de fotos hermosas en las redes, no hay vida perfecta...y hay que seguir adelante.

Happy Holidays everyone! How’s your Holiday shopping going?

This year I decided to bring back my Holiday gift guides. The past years I’ve always started with BEAUTY- why? Because they are basically the easiest gifts to give  since you don’t have to worry about sizing. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make every gift thoughtful and personalized.  

Also these gifts are great for yourself- every Holiday I like gifting myself something special (I wrap it and everything). I believe that if you have been eyeing something for a while,  you worked hard to save for it, why not treat yourself too? You deserve it!

1. Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer
When I moved to the U.S, the first thing I bought was a hairdryer. I was 17 and I learned how to blow-dry my curls- a thing I still do at least every week.  As soon as I saw the Dyson Supersonic, I was drawn to it and I couldn’t wait to try it (and now I couldn’t wait to recommend it…this is the future in hairdryers!!). 

The Dyson hairdryer is small and light (perfect for traveling), it dries ultra fast (which is important when you have as much hair as I do- now that I see how quick I can blow-dry my hair..I’m thinking about growing it out again!). It also has 3 speed settings (fast, regular, and gentle drying), and 4 precise heat settings (212F, 176F, 140F, and constant cold).

October is my favorite month. It's my birthday. It's Halloween..and it just means the Holidays are around the corner and we can start saying "where did they year go?"

Just because it is my favorite month, I challenged myself to blog every single day of the month. I used to blog every day...then, life got in the way, work got in the way. It was more important to send drafts to companies than just share whatever I wanted into the blog. I was so tired that when it came to sitting I write here, words wouldn't appear on the screen.  I've stayed very active on social media but uploading 6 times per month  is not okay.  Social media networks keep popping up...but this is MY platform, my www....and it's important to keep it active (at least it really is for me).

Octubre es mi mes favorito. Este mes cumplo año, este mes es Halloween...y con octubre se puede oficialmente empezar a decir "se acabó el año".

Este mes quise retarme a mi misma y actualizar el blog todos los días del mes. Durante años subía looks todos pero TODOS los días.  Entre más trabajo me empezó a llegar (gracias a Dios) menos me supe organizar y más abandoné esta plataforma...MI plataforma. Estoy en un punto que me agotaba tanto mentalmente que cuando era hora de escribir acá, ya no podía más. He estado muy activa en las redes, pero me puse brava al ver que que estaba publicando 6 veces al mes....eso no esta bien.

I love what I do, and I'm so grateful for every single opportunity I get (work-wise) that it's hard for me to say no. AND I have to learn how to say no.  Because it is okay to say no, it doesn't make us ungrateful- it means that we care about the work we are doing.

I have to understand that I'm not wonder woman I don't have any assistants or interns. My husband, Gabe, takes my photos and edits them...but that's about it, this blog is my baby, my project, my passion- and I love doing everything myself

Y no esta bien porque amo lo hago y me siento tan agradecida de todas y cada las oportunidades que me llegan, creo que por eso es que me cuesta decir que no. Y tengo que aprender a decir que no, todas debemos aprender a decir que no. No significa que no valoras la oportunidad, significa que te importa tanto tu trabajo que le estas dando prioridad a ciertas cosas.

Tengo que entender que no soy la mujer invencible, no tengo asistentes ni pasantes. Gabo es mi única ayuda con las fotos y edición; pero de resto lo hago yo. Este blog es mi bebé, mi proyecto, mi pasión.

 I love planning the outfits, selecting the pictures, answering emails, negotiating contracts, writing my own social captions and blog posts (even though I should have someone proof reading them from time to time)...I appreciate even the annoying things like sending invoices and following up with payments.  I absolutely love interacting with you guys, answering comments on social ( I need to get better at answering HERE, I promise I will try)- and I'm sure some of you have noticed but I go and check out your Instagram accounts too.

I really enjoy every step of the process and I'm very thankful with all of you for all the love and support throughout the years. Love you guys!

Amo planificar los looks, seleccionar las fotos, responder emails, negociar contratos, escribir yo misma todo lo que sale en mis redes y en el blog (aunque de vez en cuando alguien debería corregirme los errores que veo 3 días después). Aprecio hasta las labores tediosas como facturar. Pero sobre todo disfruto intercalando con ustedes en las redes- siempre me meto a responderles y ver sus perfiles. Tengo que mejorar por acá, creo que tengo que hacer que dejar comentarios sea más sencillo....diganme que opinan.

De verdad que disfruto todo el proceso y les agradezco con todo mi corazón tanto cariño que me han dado...desde el 2009! Los quiero mucho.

I feel like my posts are getting crazy out of order. We were in San Francisco last week and now we are on a cruise! I haven't posted much about it on Snapchat or IG stories because it is a family trip with my parents to celebrate my mom's 60th bday..and I really want to enjoy it with them!

 But today, we are at sea heading to Mexico and I decided to share some pics we took the first day when we boarded the ship in Ft. Lauderdale.  I went for a comfy look but still on trend and perfect to explore the ship the first day.

I love denim on denim looks; they look very effortlessly cool. If you have been thinking of a way to update your denim on denim go for a trend that was seen all over the runways for this season: EMBELLISHED jeans...especially embroidery. This intricately stitched denim just adds something extra to your favorite styles. I'm loving this pair from Soho (available on NY&Company). It's very on trend but the pattern doesn't overwhelm the style...making it versatile and fun!

The ship is HUGE; there is a whole area called Central Park..that well, no explanation necessary, it looks like a park (bird effects included and everything). Around the park there are little shops, restaurants, and cafe...I grabbed a much needed cup of coffee to make sure I get to enjoy the trip as much as possible.

Siento que las estoy confundiendo y va a parecer un juego de "¿en que parte del mundo está Daniela?. Estuvimos en San Francisco la semana pasada, de ese viaje tengo muchas fotos!! Y ahora estoy en un crucero, no he compartido mucho en Snap/ Stories porque es el cumpleaños de mi mamá y ha sido más que todo familiar.

Pero hoy estamos en alta mar camino a Mexico y quise compartir unas del día que nos montamos en el barco. Quería un look cómodo, que pudiese usar para abordar, y luego ir a comer en el mismo barco.

Yo adoro los looks de mezclilla con mezclilla; me parecen tan fáciles de usar y se ven muy cool. Pero hoy quiero hablarles de una tendencia en dado caso que quieran actualizar sus jeans favoritos: JEANS BORDADOS. Esta tendencia la vimos en muchísimas pasarelas para el verano del 2016.  Estos bordados le dan un toque extra a tus jeans sin tener que dejar de usar tu estilo favorito. Este par es de Soho (disponible NY&Company)- está muy en tendencia pero el diseño no es abrumador, vas a poder usar mucho estos jeans sin que la gente se de cuenta.

El barco es INMENSO; hay un area llamada "Central Park"- que ,bueno, su nombre habla por si solo: parece un parque (con sonidos de animales incluidos y todo). En el parque hay pequeños restaurantes, cafés, y tienditas. Agarré un café, que lo necesitaba y seguimos paseando por el barco.
