This week we headed to Orlando for a fun experience with Disney Springs- used to be called Downtown Disney for the fellow folks like me who were confused about this change.

I'll be sharing all the fun from this trip soon, but I first want to get "of the way" these amazing pictures of Disney. I've been super intense with them on my IG and I want to make sure all the Disney stuff is shared before going back to reality. Honestly, why life can't be as magical!!?

This trip was a little different. I have not being to Disney since 2009, I think.  This time I was looking a lot at the kids (definitely baby fever, not ashamed to admit it). My heart would melt by the way they would smile, wave, blow kisses at the Disney characters. It also reminded me of the times I was in their place and how simple life used to be (randomly, I remember the castle being way bigger...but that happens!)

I was very impressed by the amount of people. We are not officially in high season since the kids are not out of school yet , but I swear the park could not fit another soul but people kept arriving!

About my outfit: it was crazy hot. I tried to kept it as cool as possible. I wore my bandana on the neck but I felt I was choking of hotness, so I put it in my wrist eventually.  I should have worn shorts instead of a denim skirt- but I swear I could move around and sit (plus I always wear shorts underneath...no panty accidents over here).

Esta semana fuimos a Orlando a un viaje muy divertido junto a Disney Springs- antes conocido como Downtown Disney. 

Pronto les contaré todo bien de esa experiencia, también les mostré mi outfit en Disney Springs y del roadtrip. Pero no podía esperar por compartir estas fotos; he estado mega intensa con Disney- ¿pero es que cómo NO? Es un sitio tan mágico.

No se si es parte de la "fiebre de bebés" en mi, pero este viaje lo vi de otra manera. Me fijé mucho en la cara de los niños: esa emoción, esa inocencia tan bonita. Durante el desfile se me derretía el corazón con los niños lanzándole besos, saludando y sonriendo a los muñecos. Me recordó a esos paseos cuando era niña con mi familia (recordaba el castillo más grande, pero eso es muy común)- ¡y eso siempre me pone sentimental!.

También me impresionó la cantidad de gente, todavía no estamos oficialmente en temporada alta (los niños no están de vacaciones todavía). Y les juro que en ese parque no cabía un alma, y seguía llegando y llegando gente. 

De mi outfit, intente ir lo más cómoda y fresca posible porque el calor ya esta infernal. Me había puesto mi pañuelo en el cuello pero tuve que ponérmelo estilo "Fey" porque sentí que me sofocaba. En un momento hubiese preferido estar en short que en falda, pero me pude mover tranquila y siempre uso shorts debajo para evitar cualquier accidente.

And this trend is making its appearance on the blog for the fourth time!! Like I mentioned before, I really love the texture it brings to a simple outfit like this one.

I got this tee at JCPenney for under $15 and I wanted to crop it. I'm really into rocker band tees lately. I got this jeans at Target, they are part of the Who What Wear collection and I love the little flare in the boot. Since this day was all about comfort, I added my favorite sneakers: the classic Adidas Originals!

But back to the fishnets. I think it's time to get fishnet socks. it's definitely getting too hot in Miami. I'm trying to find a pair, so I've been searching the web. I'm going to link to some pairs below in case you are looking to join this trend in the warmer months!

Y esta es la cuarta vez que uso esta tendencias de las medias de malla o de red. Es que realmente me gusta mucho la textura que le da cualquier outfit, por muy simple que sea.

Ustedes saben que me encanta encontrar piezas a mega precios. Esta camisa la corte yo misma, originalmente es de JCPenney y me salió en menos de $15. Los jeans son de Target, de la colección Who What Wear- me gusta mucho que son al tobillo y un poquito anchos en la bota. Ya que el look era cómodo, agregué mis sneakers favoritos: los Adidas Originals.

Pero hablando de las medias de red, creo que es hora de comprar un par de medias cortitas (porque ya hace demasiado calor para andar en medias panties en Miami). He estado buscando varias opciones así que abajo les dejaré los links e dado que quieran unirse a esta tendencia.

San Francisco is such a gorgeous city; I’m absolutely in love with its architecture, with the parks in every corner, the delicious food, the weather …<3

We heard that the Golden Gate Park is even bigger than Central Park in NYC; reason why, when checking it out, we decided to rent a bike. We found a little bike shop two blocks from the park (hey,  those hills are steep- the closer to the park , the better!!). There are so many attractions to see from the Japanese Tea Garden to De Young Museum and the Conservatory of Flowers. So we hopped on our bikes and try to visit everything we could.

Fashion-wise,  I’m obsessed with how the weather allowed me to play with layers- and Gabe was so excited about being able to wear long pants and long sleeves ( The Miami heat barely let us!). But the true must-have for exploring San Francisco was this pair of Brooks Heritage sneakers. I’m wearing the Medalist Chariot in a fun red/black combo and Gabe is wearing Academia Fusion in the perfect shade of burgundy. The Chariot style pays tribute the running shoes of the eighties- I love how Brooks Heritage celebrates the history, heritage, and spirit of the run. While it was worn with leg warmers back in the day, this casual lifestyle shoe is extremely versatile. Here I’m wearing them with leather shorts, a plaid shirt around the waist and a military jacket. I also wore them with sweatpants and a jean jacket to the airport; and even with a striped dress and a varsity jacket…..they go with everything.

After biking a couple of miles, we stopped at a vegan place and had the most amazing beet burger. We were amazed by all the organic vegan places in San Francisco…Miami definitely needs to take some notes. We walked around some more, exploring new cities is the best…as long as you are wearing comfy shoes! <3

San Francisco nos dejo enamorados. A mi personalmente me encanta su arquitectura, los parques en cada esquina, la comida es deliciosa.. y por supuesto: EL CLIMA.

Habíamos ido que el Parque Golden Gate es hasta más grande que Central Park en Nueva York (parque que aunque he ido muchas veces me sigue impresionando por lo grande que es). Así que decidimos alquilar una bicicleta en un lugar pequeñito a dos cuadras del parque (¡No me juzguen, pero es que esas colinas son tan inclinadas que entre más cerca del parque mejor). Hay tantos lugares por ver adentro del parque...desde el jardín botánico japonés hasta el museo De Young y un Conservatorio de Flores. 

Hablando de moda....yo estaba fascinada que el clima nos dejaba jugar con capas- y bueno Gabo estaba era contento de poder usar pantalones y camisas largas (cosa que en Miami nunca puede). Pero el verdadero esencial para explorar San Francisco fue nuestros sneakers de  Brooks Heritage  . Yo estoy usando el modelo "Medalist Chariot" en rojo con negro y Gabo está usando el Academia Fusion en el borgoña más lindo del mundo. El Medalist Chariot  está inspirado en los zapatos de correr de los ochentas.  Viendo los modelos me parece muy divertido que cada uno de los estilos está inspirado en una década pero hechos para que sean modernos, cómodos y versátiles. Aquí los estoy usando con unos shorts de cuero, una camisa de cuadros a la cintura y una chaqueta militar. También los use con sudadera y jeans para viajar...y con un vestido de rayas y una chaqueta para un toque deportivo.

Después de manejar un par de km, paramos a comer en un sitio vegano y nos comimos la hamburguesa de remolacha más deliciosa que hemos probado. Esa fue otra de las cosas que nos encantó de San Francisco: la variedad de comida orgánica y vegana...Miami debería seguir ese ejemplo. Caminamos muchísimo...de verdad que visitar nuevas ciudades es increíble- especialmente si estás usando zapatos cómodos <3

One of our main resolutions for 2016 was to travel more...even if it was to smaller towns in Florida...and that's exactly what we did a couple of weeks ago, we headed to Naples. Naples is on the west side of Florida...which means beach sunsets instead of sunrises. However, we had a small issue..the weather did not cooperate with us.  It felt like a monsoon the first day there, the second day we were able to go to the beach...even though it was very cloudy and it ended up drizzling a little.

I wore a cute halter dress with the cutest lace-up flats...my favorite hat and fun accessories (I'm very into chokers lately..and I know I'm not the only one!).  Then for an early dinner, I added a fun bomber jacket and changed my flats to heels.

We really want to come back because we felt the weather did not let us explore as much as we wanted...but it is such a gorgeous town.

Para el 2016, una de nuestras resoluciones de año nuevo fue viajar más... así fuese ir a pequeños pueblos alrededor de Florida. Por eso quisimos ir a Naples..un pueblo a casi dos horas de Miami pero para el lado oeste. Esto nos tenía emocionados por el hecho de ver el atardecer en el mar...en vez del amanecer como es en Miami. Pero tuvimos un pequeño percance: el CLIMA. No paraba de llover, el primer día estuvimos todo el tiempo en el hotel porque no había manera de salir. El segundo día si fuimos a comer y a la playa...pero estaba nublado y lloviznaba de vez en cuando. Queremos regresar pronto porque lo que vimos nos encantó...pero definitivamente no pudimos disfrutarlo.

En este post ando con un vestidito cómodo de Express y unas sandalias de tiritas, mi sombrero favorito y accesorios trendy (ultimamente me la paso con gargantillas...me fascinan). Luego para cenar temprano agregué una chaqueta estilo bomber y me cambié a tacones.

A mi me gusta tener un pequeño recordatorio en mi muñeca...como este reloj Movado de la nueva colección Edge. Es super elegante pero al mismo tiempo va con todo...moderno, edgy y minimalista...todo al mismo tiempo!

Pero no crean que hay días en que no quisiese una hora extra...pero en vez de desearlo...vivamos la vida al máximo! Soltemos el teléfono de vez en cuando, y tengamos conversaciones sobre la vida, las metas, y los sueños...

I'm a comfort-type of person....we both are. As a style blogger, I absolutely love dressing up and wearing heels... but there are many days I would just love to stay in yoga pants all day every day.

Then, Gabe and I got hungry so we had a casual lunch date in our Athleisure outfits. This time, I paired it with black jeans, a black moto jacket, and cool elements to give it that dressy feel. He was also wearing a Gap Factory hoodie...and looking so freaking handsome <3

Gap Factory has always been a favorite of me...especially for basics and athletic wear. The quality is amazing, and the affordable prices make you want to grab an extra thing...or two!

Como bloguera de moda, por supuesto que me encanta arreglarme y entaconarme....pero hay días que solo me provoca estar en mis pantalones de ejercicio hasta el día siguiente.

Por esta razón me encanta que la tendencia de "Athleisure" siga siendo tan importante para el 2016.  En dado caso que se estén preguntando: ¿qué es athleisure? Viene de la combinación de palabras ahletic con leisure y es básicamente usar ropa de hacer ejercicio para actividades del día a día.

Esta tendencia es genial porque puedes adaptarla a tu estilo y a tu estilo de vida. Puedes ser creativo..y no solo te vas a ver super a la moda, si no también vas a estar extremadamente cómodo.

Por ejemplo, esta sudadero de Gap Factory se puede usar después de hacer ejercicio (como es de esperarse) o atreverte a usarla de una manera más arreglada. Primero la utilicé para caminar a Chiki, mi perrito, y nos fuimos a buscar un jugo verde en una lugar de jugos que me encanta.

Luego a Gabo y a mi nos dio hambre y me convenció a que nos fuéramos a una "cita" casual para almorzar. Y quise usar la sudadera con jeans negros, una chaqueta de cuero sintético, y botines. Gaby también estaba usando una sudadero de Gap Factory...y diganme si no se ve super guapo <3

Gap Factory ha sido de mis favoritos de toda la vida para piezas básicas y ropa de hacer ejercicio. La calidad es increíble y los precios asequibles hacen que agarres una que otra cosita extra.

On our trip to Georgia, we were literally two blocks away from North Carolina. So we headed to the state line and found the most gorgeous scenery ...it looks straight out from a painting, right?

Lately I'm been drawn to wearing red and green...but in a not Holiday way. I like it especially when it is army green and burgundy; but this time I dared to do plaid...what do you guys think? Yes? No? I kinda liked it!

We are in Key West right now and  I'm sorry it has taken me so long to update all the photos from Georgia (plus I still have a couple of more to share!!)...Hope you liked them!

Cuando estuvimos en Georgia, si caminabamos dos cuadras ya estabamos en Carolina del Norte. Así que nos fuimos al aviso de "Bienvenido a North Carolina" y nos topamos con el paisaje más espectscular...díganme si no parece salido de una película o de una pintura de epoca.

Ultimamente me ha estado llamando la atención usar rojo y verde...pero no al estilo navideño sino cuando es un verde militar y un rojo borgoña. Esta vez me arriesgué e a mezclarlo con estampado de cuadritos...¿qué opinan? ¡A mi me gustó bastante!

Ahora mismo estamos en Key West y de verdad que pena con ustedes que me he tardado tanto subiendo todas las fotos de Georgia ( y esto que todavía me quedan un par de looks!!). Espero que les gusten <3 <3

I love fashion…I love putting outfits together; BUT I’m just like the typical woman and I always get the “I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO WEAR” (while changing at least 6 times and making a mess out of my already messy klozet) 

I also get a little overwhelmed when I go to the mall; there’s so much variety (not complaining about this!) but I don’t like spending the whole day at the mall, especially when I’m looking for something specific- like what to wear to garden wedding or to an interview for your dream job.

And those are the times I wished I had a stylist… A personal stylist who would pick what works for that specific occasions and that is flattering to your body type and style…but stylists are oh-so-expensive… Reason why I was so excited to find out about Macy’s personal shopping program called MyStylist…and it’s FREE!

Macy’s MyStylist is now available at more than 130 stores around the U.S….so I decided to give it a try. There are different ways to make your appointment: it can be online at macys.com/mystylist, by phone at 1-800-343-0121, or via email at mystylist@macys.com. I did it online by filing out a form with my name, email, appointment dates and time options. There is also a box where you can put how they can help you. 

Within a day or two, I got an email from a stylist in my area asking more questions about my body type, my style, and what I was looking for. That way she could start to browse options around the store and have some selections for me ready in a private fitting room. I’m super excited to show you what I got: a little something for Thanksgiving and our anniversary trip to the woods up north.  The length the appointment varies; you can be in and out in 15 minutes or spend two hours if you want to fully update your wardrobe.

The lady who helped me was very sweet, knowledgeable, and helpful. When I didn’t like something, she edited the assortment quickly; and when I did, she pulled out more options. I never felt pressure to buy anything. I also asked her if she could help me find an anniversary gift for my husband…and she totally did (stay tuned for that!!). Meaning that you can also use this service to buy for others; the stylists can help you find the perfect gift for birthdays, graduations, Valentine’s Day, etc.

Obviamente me encanta la moda...y obviamente me encanta crear combinaciones de ropa. PERO también soy como cualquier mujer y siempre me pasa el "NO SE QUE PONERME!!!" (mientras me cambio 6 veces y hago un desastre en mi cuarto y closet)

Hey!! So a couple of years ago, in 2013, when I was doing my brief internship in Seventeen Magazine...Gabe visited me and we try going to all touristy places...but in NYC you never see it all. We loved the Brooklyn Bridge so much that we decided to go back...we also wanted to see the little house by Tom Fruin.  This time we got SO FREAKING LOST...some trains were closed (which is normal during the weekend) but we wandered around trying to find the right one. But at the end, it was perfect because we got to see a little extra of Brooklyn and even had lunch there. Hope you like the pics ! XOXO

Hace un par de años, cuando hice mi pasantía en Seventeen...Gabo y yo nos aventuramos un día  a Brooklyn (bueno digo aventuramos porque cuando uno no vive en Nueva York, los trenes pueden ser un poco confusos). Nos impresionó tanto que quisimos volver...y también queríamos ver la casita de vidrio del artisita Tom Fruin.  Y esta vez la aventura fue más aventura aún- como siempre, durante los fines de semana, cierran ciertas lineas del tren y nos perdimos MUCHISIMO. Caminamos bastante, disfrutamos la vista, comimos pizza en Brooklyn, y regresamos para ir a una cena con el equipo de Chictopia...que fueron los que me invitaron a la sesión de fotos de JCPenney.
