5 BOOTS YOU SHOULD HAVE IN YOUR WARDROBE

I live in Miami and I wear boots year-round (yes, no matter how hot it gets)…I absolutely love the look and feel they give to any outfit. They can make a pair of denim shorts look boho or edgy…and give the final touch to a simple fall outfit.

So I wanted to round out the 5 boot styles I believe every woman should have in their shoe closet.

All the styles I’m recommending are from Nordstrom Rack, aka designer brands at a great price (you can save up to 70% offf designer brands). Let me know which style is your favorite!

1) OVER THE BOOTS

I absolutely adore how over-the-knee boots look! They make such a fashionable statement, while keeping you warm.

I love wearing them with shorts, skirts and dresses + sweaters for the colder Miami days. And I always take them with me when I travel during the cold months since they look amazing with jeans and over tights.

My advice is to go for a comfortable pair with a thicker heel or a flat over the boot for more casual looks.

2) ANIMAL PRINT BOOTIES

Animal print booties can bring to life any neutral outfit. Leopard is timeless, but I’m loving snake print even more!

Outfit idea: jeans, a turtleneck, a camel coat + leopard booties!

3) POP OF COLOR

My go-to color for fall is burgundy, it is extremely versatile and it has a wow-factor!

You will always get so many compliments when wearing these boots! They look great with black, white, nude, camel, gray, with florals, and plaid!

4) LOW HEEL TIMELESS BOOTS

These are my go-to for every day, perfect for moms (as pictured with my little one!).  I have a nude pair and a black pair that I wear non-stop..with denim, biker shorts, dresses, skirts…absolutely anything goes!

5) SEXY HIGH HEEL BOOTS

Go for that pair that makes you feel absolutely gorgeous!

My favorite pair is black because of its versatility, but again, you should definitely own a pair of high heeled booties that make you feel like you can do absolutely ANYTHING!

REMIX: 35 looks with OVER-THE-KNEE BOOTS

Tuesday, May 15, 2018

You can call me "attached"; but when you find a great piece, you should hold on to it.
It's like that saying "why fix it if it's not broken".

I got these boots who knows how long ago, probably in 2014. They are from Guess, I tell you because that's the number one question; but as you can imagine, they don't sell them anymore. At the end of this post, you can see similar versions at different price points.

There are many things that make these boots great:
- They have a chunky heel so it's not the typical sexy over the knee boot.
- They are very narrow, so they don't fall off my knees.
- Well, as you can see, they go with EVERYTHING.

I did a remix with them in 2016, it included 12 looks. But I haven't stopped wearing them, they especially make their appearance in the colder months.

The Only Kind of Roses I want

Thursday, February 15, 2018

This Miami Winter was extremely short but sweet. I've probably said it a million times but living in such a hot/humid city makes you appreciate the chilly days so much more.

The few days we got a little bit of a cold-front , I was wearing oversized sweaters with over the knee boots! This is actually a men’s sweater from Forever21, I got it last Fall. I wore it with sneakers for a longgg Ikea trip (which was a total fail, we didn’t find anything we were looking for). We were starting to look at cribs and changing tables but they were HUGE and we have limited space

Then I swapped the sneakers for these AWESOME booties; and we headed to dinner with friends

Btw it’s not about “hiding the bump” , I just feel way way WAY more comfortable in looser silhouettes. Either way, at the pace this bump is growing...it will show in a LOSE dress.

Hope you are having an amazing week!

Trying to highlight was is left of my waist!

Every day SOIREE…with VIVA LA JUICY

Wednesday, February 7, 2018

Sponsored by Juicy Couture Fragrance and ShopStyle

Every day should be Valentine’s Day. Every day should be a Soirée.

When Gabe and I started dating, we promised each other day would be Valentine’s Day. We promised that we didn’t need a specific day to buy flowers or chocolates, and that if we felt like dressing up and heading to a fancy restaurant, we just would. And most importantly: if we wanted to stay in during February 14th and hang out in our PJS, that was totally okay too.

We should celebrate LOVE every day.  Just like that, I’m also inspired by the new Juicy Couture perfume “Viva La Juicy Soirée” to make every day a Soirée. We work hard, we deserve to indulge and have fun! It doesn’t matter if it’s pampering yourself with a relaxing bath, planning a Galentine’s Day with your besties, or heading to a surprise location with your significant other.

I absolutely love perfumes, how every scent reminds me of a different time in my life, and how it is that final (and invisible) accessory that complements any outfit.

I recently just finished another bottle of the timeless Viva La Juicy (one of my all time favorites!). Reason why I was so excited to try the new addition to the Viva la Juicy portfolio: Viva la Juicy Soirée…and I have to say: did I find another fave!? It’s fresh because of jeweled fruits like pink kiwi and sparkling mandarin, and feminine because of the jasmine and water lily. It really takes you to a fantastical escape from reality! PLUS, the gorgeous colors of the bottle make it the perfect addition to your vanity.

Now I know that Viva La Juicy Soirée will always remind me to the last few months as US three (Chiki always counts) and that beautiful excitement of what’s to come.

5 ACCESSORIES/JEWELRY TRENDS for FALL 2017

Sunday, October 15, 2017

I've been a fan of TOUS since I was a little girl and I remember wanting everything with that cute bear. I've been honored to collaborate with this brand for the past three years and  I especially love how it continues to grow and evolve- how we all should continuously, no matter the industry we are in!

Today I want to talk to you about 5 accessories/jewelry trends for Fall 2017 that I'm excited to incorporate into my wardrobe and I'm actually wearing in these photos!

Let's get started!!

Exploring Boston. Acorn Street

Monday, September 11, 2017

Pretending I'm super cool in Acorn Street ðŸ¤£...but the truth is, it was a bad idea to be wearing these boots in a cobblestoned street! According to Wiki, " Acorn Street in Beacon Hill is often mentioned as the "most frequently photographed street in the United States." It is a narrow lane paved with cobblestones that was home to coachmen employed by families in Mt. Vernon and Chestnut Street mansions"

Also, I totally stole this hoodie from Mr. Gabe. He rocks as a shirt, the fit for me is more like a hoodie dress- which I LOVED, especially when paired with these over-the-knee boots.

At the end of this post, you can find some similar versions to the items I'm wearing!

¡BESOS!

BROOKLYN BRIDGE /// WINTER FASHION

Sunday, January 8, 2017

If there is one place to really admire New York's beautiful skyline is from the Brooklyn Bridge. It's a must stop for any tourist- we were there a year before during the summer time and also in 2013.
XOXO

Iceskating at the Rockefeller Center /// WINTER FASHION

Friday, December 23, 2016

I don't remember the last time I ice-skated - My mom says it was in 2005 and before that 1996...so let's say, it is tradition to do it every approximately 10 years. I had so SO SO SO much fun. When we were doing the line (which was long, but I guess it could have been worse), I saw so many people falling and falling. It probably had to do that the ice wasn't flat. But I was definitely scared, I didn't want to end with a broken arm...and I can be a little clumsy. But my body is more agile than I give it credit. I did gymnastics for 10 years, and I was feeling like a pro within minutes (at least I was going faster than 80% of the people).

3 WAYS TO WEAR OVER-THE-KNEE BOOTS...under $100

Monday, December 12, 2016

When I go shopping I have three rules:
  • Only buy if you can think of at least three different ways to wear that item.
  • Don’t pay attention to sizes.
  • TRY IT ON- things look different (and sometimes way better) when you try them on.

Today I’m partnering with Style&Co to show you must-have pieces for this season- but I’m focusing on one piece that it’s an absolute must-have for the colder months: over the knee boots. These types of boots go with everything: with jeans, leggings, skirts, sweater dresses..anything- and they are super sexy too! Don’t be afraid to spend a little more on timeless pieces like these boots...you are going to wear them with absolutely everything in your wardrobe during the colder months.

Look #1
For the first look, I paired the boots with a tunic sweater. I went for a bigger size to make sure the tunic would look like a short dress on my petite frame. I absolutely love the lace up detail on this tunic, and it would look absolutely amazing underneath a coat and with fleece tights for even colder months.

Look #2
This second look is exactly what I was telling you on my rule of never looking at the sizes.  This tunic plaid dress fit me like a top in my size BUT in a Large, it fit me like a trendy dress (that hey, could still be worn with leggings. For that cool girl vibe, I added a camel moto jacket. I absolutely love this combo together but hese two pieces are also extremely versatile with anything in your closet.

Look #3

For the third look, I’m showing you how these boots can go from trendy to comfy by just pairing it with cozy pieces.  This look works for running errands, Holiday shopping, baking cookies at your in-laws…even for a walk in the park or a casual brunch with a friend.  I absolutely love burgundy for the cooler months, and these burgundy leggings are comfy and cute! I really like the cut-out detail on the simple top. But the real final touch of this look is the striped duster..and it is under $35!!

What was your favorite look? Let me know in the comments!

Magical Fall in Central Park /// COZY & BUNDLED

Friday, December 9, 2016

I dream of living in New York, a few blocks from Central Park. I dream of seeing it bloom during the Spring, of planning a summer picnic under a tree, seeing the leafs fall in Fall, and then all white in Winter. I dream of walking Chiki and letting him play with the dozens of dogs you see.

One day New York, one day...
