Hey everyone..here's the first post of the year! I wasn't sure if I should post the looks from the cruise first; but I think it would be weird to post the New Years Eve look by mid January. That day we got off the cruise by noon; we rushed to Caracas to wash our clothes and then drive a couple of hours more to Valencia...where we have a gorgeous country-side house. I think I got ready too late because when I looked at the clock, it was almost midnight. Even though we were exhausted due all the traveling, we had a lot of fun with the family. I think NYE is the perfect day to wear sequins, I chose this beautiful skirt from Nabel Martins and I paired it with a cool crop top from Furor Moda. I kept the accessories to the minimum to let the skirt shine. At first I thought the skirt was a little long for me but then I was checking Instagram and I saw Anna Dello Russo posted some of her favorite looks of 2013 and there it was... a similar skirt and as long as this one, and it looked amazing (especially when you walk). I hope you had an amazing New Years Eve and that 2014 is treating you well so far... I have a feeling that it's going to be an amazing year.

¡Primer post del año!! No estaba segura si empezar a publicar los looks del crucero antes que el de fin de año...¡pero me parecía raro publicar este look dentro de una semana! Esto lo utilicé para despedir el año en la casa de campo con la familia del lado de mi mamá. Ese día llegamos al mediodía del crucero y corrimos a Caracas a lavar ropa y de ahí seguimos a Valencia. Creo que me vestí muy tarde porque cuando vi el reloj ya faltaban 10 minutos para las doce. Aunque estabamos agotados de la viajadera, la pasamos muy chevere con la familia. Para la ocasión me puse esta falda espectacular de la diseñadora venezolana Nabel Martins y un crop top sencillo de Furor Moda. Mantuve los accesorios al mínimo para que la falda fuese el centro de atención. Al principio sentía que la falda me quedaba un pelín larga, pero luego vi a Anna Dello Russo publicando sus mejores looks del año y tenía una falda similar de larga...lo bueno es que al ser un poco más larga, cuando caminas se ve ESPECTACULAR. Espero que  ustedes hayan disfrutado muchísimo con sus seres queridos... y que hayan empezado el 2014 con el mejor de los ánimos...yo tengo el presentimiento de que va a ser un año increíble.

It feels like yesterday when I was saying Hello to 2013 in Aruba with my parents!! Like I have mentioned before 2013 was a year full of emotions...mixed feelings, happiness, love, and a little bit of obstacles. Many things didn't go as I planned, but I learned that you always need a plan B, C,D...and even Z. There isn't just one way to get to your goals.

My year started with my last semester of Fashion Merchandising and a trip to New York Fashion Week (trip I won thanks to your support and votes). It was amazing getting to see big shows . While in New York, I was interviewed at Seventeen Magazine for a internship..and in less than a month, I was there again ready to live in NYC during the Spring.  I had the opportunity to see Central Park bloom..and well, I got to see how harsh the fashion industry can be. I learned that I work really hard (without complaining) and I learned as much as I could in the fashion department.


Then I went back to Miami to get ready for graduation...I realized that the older I get, the more sentimental I am. I think it was, and still is a fear of the unknown...of closing a chapter in my life and starting a new one. After that we headed to Spain to celebrate graduation...such a gorgeous country an experience.

As soon as I came back it was Swim Week in Miami; where I felt to lucky. I got to attend to most of the shows and I worked with several brand. Also, I feel very close to all my Miami bloggers...they are so sweet and awesome. Then we headed to Culebra, Puerto Rico with some of my best friends...we had so much fun that I'm already planning to go back.


Then I came back to Venezuela for two months...where I feel like I grew and I understood what the next step was. While in Caracas, I collaborated with some Venezuelan brands. I'm so happy I got to do that; after living in Miami for seven years, the feeling you get when supporting the people where you are from is great. And I finally met many venezuelan bloggers, who I followed but now I feel like there are friends I would like to see in every trip to Venezuela.

And again, back in Miami with a new goal in mind: starting a masters degree in Design and Media Management. The first semester ended a couple of weeks ago, and I proud of my grades and all the effort I put into it.



In a blink of an eye my birthday was here, this year was 20s inspired...and then November was here, a month full of big opportunities I can't believe. But I think one of the best things that happened this year was our engagement. Gabo and I have been together for 7 years and I'm very happy that this is just the beginning.

Now in December I just met my little niece, who's so gorgeous!! I also saw one of my best friends get married and I'm spending my Holidays with Gabo and my family on a cruise.

I feel so blessed and I'm extremely grateful for everything that 2013 brought....I can't wait for 2014!

Y parece que fue ayer que estabamos celebrando la llegada del 2013. Como les mencioné en algún momento, el 2013 fue un año lleno de emociones...de sentimientos encontrados, de alegrías, de oportunidades, y de obstáculos. Hay muchas cosas que no salieron como esperaba, pero aprendí que tener un plan B, C, D...Z es lo más importante.

Mi año empezó con mi último semestre de la carrera de Fashion Merchandising y un viaje a Nueva York para la Semana de la Moda (viaje que me gané gracias a sus votos y apoyo). Fue increíble ver desfiles de grandes diseñadores y solo estar ahí en Lincoln Center era WOW. Estando en NYFW, fue mi entrevista para una una pasantía con la revista Seventeen en NYC- y en menos de un mes, volví a agarrar mis dos maletas y vivir un par de meses en la gran manzana. Tuve la oportunidad de ver florecer Central Park, y experimentar lo dura que es la industria de la moda. Aprendí lo trabajadora que soy; a trabajar 12 horas seguidas sin quejarme y a absorber todo el conocimiento que podía.

Luego regresé a Miami a prepararme para la graduación; en la que aparentemente, entre más vieja, más sentimental. Creo que era, y es, un miedo a lo desconocido...un miedo a cerrar una etapa y empezar otra. De ahí me fui con mis papás y Gabo a España a celebrar la graduación, donde pasamos una semana conociendo. Nunca había estado en España y me pareció una experiencia inolvidable.

Ahí mismo llegó la Semana de la Moda Swim en Miami; donde me siento muy afortunada porque no solo pude asistir a muchísimos shows, sino también estuve trabajando con diferentes marcas. Aparte, le he agarrado un cariño impresionante a todas las bloggeras de Miami...más que compañeras, las considero mis amigas. Para empezar el verano, viajé a Puerto Rico con Gabo y un grupo de amigos, fue todo un espectáculo...¡ya quiero regresar!



Luego tuve que regresar a Venezuela por un par de meses, en donde siento que crecí y me encaminé un poquito más. Estando en Caracas, pude colaborar con marcas nacionales...y me siento muy feliz de haberlo hecho. Después de vivir tanto tiempo afuera,  el sentimiento al apoyar a marcas de tu país es indescriptible. También conocí a muchas las bloggeras venezolanas, que seguía de lejitos y ahora las considero amigas a quienes quiero ver cada vez que venga.

 Y una vez más regreso a Miami, con otro plan en mente: continuar mis estudios al hacer una maestría en "Gerencia de Diseño".  El primer semestre terminó hace unas semanas, y estoy muy feliz con mis notas y todo el esfuerzo que le puse.

En un abrir y cerrar llegó mi cumpleaños, este año fue de los años 20s.. y la pasé espectacular.  Luego de la nada, llego Noviembre..lleno de oportunidades que todavía no me puedo creer. Pero lo mejor de todo y creo que es uno de los picos del año: nos comprometimos. Gabo y yo llevamos 7 años juntos, y ando demasiado feliz de solo pensar que este es solo el comienzo de nuestra vida juntos.

Ahora en Diciembre conocí a mi sobrina, una hermosura....vi a una de mis mejores amigas casarse..y pasé las primeras Navidades con Gabo mientras estabamos en un crucero con toda mi familia.

¡Me siento extremadamente agradecida y afortunada, y no puedo esperar a ver que trae el 2014!

I can't believe today is the last day of the year- I feel like it was yesterday that I was celebrating the beginning of 2012 in Europe. I feel so grateful with all of you for making this year extra special and I'm so happy I got to share it with you on the blog. So.. let's do a fun recap of all the outfits of  the year!! No puedo creer que hoy se acaba el año- siento que fue ayer que estaba en Europa celebrando el inicio del 2012. Estoy muy agradecida con todas ustedes por hacer de este año extra-especial y por acompañarme en tan lindos momentos. Así que quiero terminar el año recordando los mejores momentos de cada mes. Finalmente les deseo un FELIZ 2013...espero que este año les traiga mucha salud, prosperidad, exito.. y momentos espectaculares con sus seres querido. Los quiero muchísimo!!
