New Vanity Essentials …with QVC

Sunday, March 28, 2021

*Sponsored by QVC and ShopStyle Collective. This post includes affiliate links. All opinions are my own.*

Last month, I told you all about how we started a little gym corner after getting an amazing deal on this compact treadmill from QVC.

We still have so much to do around the house and my bedroom is definitely nowhere done. However, I’ve been eyeing some pieces to spice up my vanity and there was this mirror with multi magnification and storage, it also comes in silver but rose gold is more of the vibe I’m going for. I also really liked that the base has a storage perfect enough to keep my daily makeup organized.

Talking about daily makeup;  if you have been following for a while, you KNOW how much of a fan I am of IT Cosmetics. If you are looking to try the brand, this 5 pc Collection is a great way to get a few new every day favorites. Also this Lip Serum Treatment Trio is absolutely amazing  for hydrating your lips- and the pigments are great for that natural youthful looking look.

I also saw this amazing deal for a Micro-Dermabrasion Device that I couldn’t pass- it is from a brand called 7LS and exfoliates outer layers of the skin to improve the appearance of lines and pores. The bad news, I forgot I cannot use it yet (the skin is just extra sensitive during pregnancy). So I might either gift it to my mom on Mother’s Day that’s coming pretty soon…OR wait until July and make sure the baby glow stays!

Since this little desk also works as an office for zoom meetings, I also got this cute and versatile black blazer! You can also find more colors and sizes HERE.

What are your vanity essentials?

Remember you can check out some of the amazing deals at QVC (from home to beauty and fashion, and everything in between), and use the following codes: OFFER ($10 off purchase of $25+ for first time customers) and HELLO10 ($10 off purchase of $25+ orders for second time customers).

My Nordstrom Beauty Anniversary Sale picks

Monday, August 24, 2020

*Sponsored by Nordstrom Shopstyle*

As we all know Nordstrom’s anniversary sale is happening RIGHT NOW! And I might have picked a few fashion pieces (like the sweatpants and shirt I’m wearing because they are perfect to lounge at home), but I had to treat myself with some new beauty products- especially because now more than ever, it’s so important to pamper yourself!

Browsing the sale as soon as it launched, there were a few beauty exclusives that caught my eye- especially because they are products I LOVE and they came as sets (at a great value). Nordstrom is my one stop shop for all things beauty. So let me tell you what I got:

I was in urgent need of a toner and this one caught my eye. It comes with two full sizes and a travel size of the toner, and a travel size of the Rose Jelly Overnight Mask.

My first impression: it’s thicker than a regular toner, but you can instantly tell that’s to hydrate the skin. I’ve been using it for a few days, and my skin feels instantly clean and softer!

-MAC Dream Team Eye Kit

I was looking for an eyeshadow palette that works for my everyday look (aka my everyday look for shooting styling videos and content!). This set comes with a palette that has 8 neutral hues that can be used wet or dry, the Extreme Dimension 3D black Lash Mascara, and the Technakohl (a pencil styler liner that is super creamy).

MAC Haute Gossip Mini Lipstick Kit ($32.50, $60 value)

Even though I keep my eyeshadow neutral, I’m a big fan of lipstick. This curated set of five mini lipsticks from MAC was too cute to pass. It also includes MY ABSOLUTE favorite nude: Velvet Teddy (matte), I can’t wait to try them all!

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Secrets Set

I’ve heard amazing things about Pillow Talk, and I really wanted to try this set- so far, I’m loving it! It comes with the liner, the lipstick and a “Collagen Lip Bath” that provides fuller looking lips! It sold out so quickly, so it must be amazing! I’m gonna link more of my favorites below!

I picked everything online but went to my local Nordstrom to pick it up- so easy and convenient. This is my third time doing curbside pickup and I love that I don’t even have to get out of the car. And then something AMAZING happened! I was actually the 10th customer of the day to pick curbside, so the many staff members came out with happy faces and I WON a $100 giftcard!! Feeling lucky!

You can become a member of “The Nordy Club” by signing up here : you earn 1 point per dollar, and you get Priority Access to Style Events, workshops, Curbside Pickup, and more!

Also, every day there is a special one-day only offer online and in-store! You can check the Nordstrom Beauty Daily Deals (8/19- 8/30) and all the Nordstrom Beauty deals HERE!

BEAUTY: My Lip Wardrobe

Monday, October 8, 2018

Sponsored by Lancôme and ShopStyle All opinions are my own.

Over the years, I’ve learned what makeup look I like the most on me (aka. neutral eyeshadows, a winged eyeliner, and different lippies). I have it down and I’m sure that if you time me, I can do my makeup under 5 minutes.

Since I like to keep my eyes makeup on the neutral side, I basically just switch up the color of my lips. I love playing with different colors since it quickly transforms any makeup look and I can easilymatch the color to my outfit. More than lipsticks, I see them as part of my wardrobe, my LIP WARDROBE.

I was so excited to play with some of the fun formats from Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge and I want to share some of my favorites with you today. I love how can a simple color on your lips can inspire you and empower you! It’s more than feeling beautiful, it’s about living your life beautifully.

Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge comes in 44 shades, with multiple formats and finishes (like Classic Creams, Sheers, Gloss, Lacquer, and the new Drama Matte). I also got a few shades from a limited edition collaboration with Camila Coelho that includes 10-shades in the same formula as the L’absolu Rouge Classic…and OMG, the Lancôme x Camila actual lipstick is shaped as lips- I think it’s the cutest lipstick bullet that I have ever seen. I instantly opened them and put them on my vanity!! But I could’t wait to try them!

My lip wardrobe is full of reds, it is definitely my go-to color. But the Tropical Pink 485 shade from the Camila Coelho collection stole my heart. This formula delivers high color without drying my lips! It’s such a perfect color for Miami but I think it looks gorgeous with fall colors. I paired this Tropical Pink with a fall floral dress; the shade perfectly complement the yellow in the dress!

I’m also super picky when it comes to neutrals. I don’t know why I find it so hard to find colors that work with any outfit. I find some too pink, too brown, or too bland. As soon as I saw the tube for the L’Absolu Rouge 124 Rose Petale (Cream), I knew I might have found a new favorite neutral…and I was right! This one is going in my bag because it really goes well with my skin tone and with any look!

I can’t wait to continue building my lip wardrobe! What shades are a total must in yours?

Inner Glow & Velour Lover...with Laura Mercier

Friday, May 13, 2016

A few days ago,  I started asking around to my friends what makeup means to them. I got very different responses… from a very long and passionate answer from a friend who recently became a makeup artist…to a short “I only wear it to weddings and stuff like that” from that friend I was always jealous of because of her perfect skin.

However, listening to their answers…we all had something in common: we use makeup to feel more confident and to transform ourselves into gorgeous vixens for special occasions.  None of my girl friends want to change their features, they just want to enhance their favorite ones.

Lip Clique...with Givenchy Beauty

Monday, April 11, 2016

At the beginning of the year, I attended a lunch with Givenchy Beauty where they introduced  a new lipstick called Rouge Interdit Vinyl. As a lipstick lover, I was instantly excited about the impactful shades that also have a subtle plump effect (and they moisturize incredibly because of the black rose oil). Little did I know that the next month I would be heading out to New York to shoot this amazing video with Evelina and Sophia.

Each of us had a “character”. I’m using quotations because they were inspired by our own personalities. I was classic with an edge, Evelina was the extroverted, and Sophia was edgy. I’ve always thought that the lip color you wear can be your beauty signature.  It instantly can tell the world a little bit of your personality if you are daring, edgy, classy, or trendy.  I love a bold lip that says it all…I love the boost of confidence a classic red lipstick gives me…and I love the power of an edgier hue.

Out of the 15 shades of this collection, there was one shade that intrigued me the most: the Noir Révélatur.
Why? It looks black…but is it!? NO, the formula reacts according to the pH of the lips; meaning that when applied, it takes a different shade for every woman.

At first, I thought it went on as gloss…but as a minute passed by, the color started to show up slowly, and I was in love! <3 A shade that it is only MINE! It was also very cool to see how different the color was on Evelina and Sophia. The best part is that if you want a bolder color, you can layer it as much as you want….or you can use it with your favorite lipstick to enhance that color.

This experience in New York was amazing; the production team was incredible; the director was one of the funniest directors I’ve ever met. The hair and makeup team made me feel like a princess.I’m very thankful to Style Coalition and Givenchy Beauty for the opportunity. These collaborations are extra special when it is with a brand and a product you absolutely love.

Lipstick is my beauty weapon…what is yours?

____

It's all about LIPSTICK... with #BuxomBabe

Friday, October 2, 2015

You probably have noticed that I tend to do the same eye-makeup...yes, a classic cat-eye with neutral eyeshadows that I've learned to master in just 5 minutes. However, I love playing with lip color to match my mood and/or outfit.

For me, the easiest way to transform your makeup look is just by switching up your lipstick. When I'm feeling edgy, I always go for a dark burgundy...when I'm feeling classic, I go for a vibrant red...when I'm feeling extra girly, I wear a pink pout..and when, I just want to go from day to night, I go from nude to darker shade.

Today I'm teaming up with Buxom Cosmetics to review their new collection of lipstick: Buxom Bold Gel Lipstick . What can I say? I'M IN LOVE!

The collection is available in 30 saturated sating and matte shades that range from simple nudes to the darkest plum. First things first: the packaging is very elegant in an all black tube (with a magnet cap). The lipsticks are VERY pigmented,...you only need one stroke and you are ready to head out the door. Matte lipsticks tend to dry my lips but this one has moisturizing ingredients.

So I picked my favorite 10 shades....you are going to see a lot of them with my daily looks!

____

¡¡ME ENCANTARON!

My Clinique Counter Experience

Monday, July 27, 2015

Hey girls! Happy Monday!
Is it me of we tend to buy tons of products that we don't need or that are not the perfect fit for our skin tone or skin type? There are so many beauty products in the market that it is very important to have skin consultations from time to time and understand what products work specifically for us.

Today I'm partnering with Clinique to share my experience at the Clinique Counter (if you live in Miami, I went to the one at the International Mall...and they were amazingly sweet). Clinique is one of the first brands I ever tried (and loved); my mom always had Clinique products in her bathroom...where I used to sneak in as a teenager and "practice" doing my makeup and then taking it off before anyone noticed (which btw, Clinique's eye makeup remover is still the best I've ever tried!). A couple of weeks ago, I headed to their beauty counter without any makeup so the expert could really see and analyze my skin. I started rejoicing when she mentioned she looked at least 7 years younger than I am!

Before anything, they give a little quiz with questions about your breakouts, aging/wrinkle concern, redness, sensitivity, etc. I shared that a couple of years ago I started suffering with adult acne- which left me with some annoying scars...and that thankfully my skin has cleared out and that it is more on the dry side now. So my concerns are basically 1) keep the acne away while keeping my skin moisturized, and 2) Reduce the acne scars and little marks...and well preventing wrinkles is always a priority. Since we are all very different, all the products of one specific line might not work...she told me it's okay to try X product from Y line and Y product from X line. Stay tuned because I will share more of the skincare products she recommended, I've been using them religiously and I can't wait to share my review with all of you.

Then we moved to the makeup part...my favorite part! Since I didn't have any plans for that day, we kept the makeup pretty simple...a little bit of foundation, a touch of blush, and some barely there eyeshadows. However, you all know I have a thing for lipstick and I saw the new collection "Pop Lip Lipstick + Primer" and I wanted to try all the 16 shades! I was wearing a red two piece set...and I went for a bright red that matched my clothes called Cherry Pop. Like the name of the lipstick says, it comes with primer...so it keeps your lips moisturized and full of color for 8 hours- definitely a must-have in your makeup bag!

Let me know if you have ever had a beauty consultation and/or if you have tried Clinique products. I can't wait to read your experiences! XOXO

______

¡Hola Hola!! ¡Feliz lunes!

¡BESOS!
