OMG! I should have shared this post ages ago. But let me tell you a funny story, my dear friends (and bloggers) Kelly Saks and Erika Thomas planned this baby shower with some amazing blogger friends.
At the time, I wasn't 100% sure of the name "NICO". I mean, it was our first and favorite option but we were still thinking of other names, just in case. But when friends asked me, I would tell them we love Nico. Something happened along the way that Kelly thought that was the official name and it was so cute, she put his name all over the decor. However, since I had not shared the name publicly, I kept these images to myself...but hey, the shower was too cute not to share with you.
This was my second shower. I had one with family where I planned it all (you can see EVERYTHING about it here). Kelly also texted my husband asking him about the theme of our nursery (you can also see the nursery HERE); since it was all about animals, they went with that theme. It was all a surprise and I absolutely love how different my showers were.
The shower was at the EAST Hotel at Quinto la Huella. We had such a delicious lunch, played games, and I felt extremely blessed because Nico has the most fashionable aunts ever.
FUN THINGS I ABSOLUTELY LOVED:
- The Diaper Cake: so cute and so useful! I took them home and we are still using them.
- "It's a BOY" gold balloons that made the perfect backdrop for pictures.
- Animal Crackers were perfectly on theme!
- Newborn clothes hanging over the diaper cake. This was also a cute detail that I got to take home, Nico is still wearing these cute outfits.
- Baby's First Library: Kelly and Erika asked the guest to bring a book so Nico could start his own little library. I've started reading to him as part of the night-time routine so these came so handy.
- The Sign book: all the guest got to write the sweetest messages for Nico. I can't wait to show him all of this when he is older.
- Charm "labor" bracelet: each guest picked a charm for a bracelet and they gave it the best energy. I took this bracelet with me in my hospital bag and I know it came with the most amazing wishes from the sweetest girls ever.
Check out all the pictures. Wasn't it BEAUTIFUL?
Last week, I went to an event with Urban Decay and some of the coolest Latina blogger babes in Miami. The event was held at Basement (at the Miami Edition). Like it's name, this place is in the basement of the hotel and it has the coolest bowling alley and ice skating rink.
I love these types of events; when they are not heavily branded but an experience. I played one round of bowling- well, I sucked at it because of the belly. And yes, I was okay. I grabbed a light ball and I wasn't throwing hard (I promise). Remember that pregnancy isn't an illness but you should always listen to your body.
As far as my outfit. I got this shirtdress at Asos maternity during Black Friday (wow yes, so long ago) - everything was half off and I took advantage of the sale to get cute maternity stuff. This dress is one of those pieces I know I will wear after the baby is here- but just in case, I liked below to some cute options that are not maternity. I think what really elevated the look was the accessories (the white ankle boots are so fun, and the cabby hat).
Hope you like the pics! We had so much fun in this different backdrop! XOXO
¡BESOS! ¡FELIZ ABRIL!
Ok, this was supposed to be a "10 Questions with...Kelly Saks"; but Kelly has been so busy I think she forgot about me *haha just kidding, love you Kelly!. So I guess this means we have to shoot together again. Well, this was her shoot and I kinda photobombed her for 5 minutes because I wanted a little shoot together.
We wore this to go to the Backstreet Boys concert a few months ago. Because
When Kelly invites you to go see them, you say YESSS💃🏽 I saw them in 2001 and I swear I felt like a little girl again🤣 ...they are still amaaazing! Miley Cyrus and her sister also also performed, they are both incredible LIVE! But back to BSB talk...who was your favorite??🙈🙈💓💓
Last Sunday, my sweet friend Kelly Saks invited me over to her house for a small pool party.
It was my first time going to her house and I have to say it is BEAUTIFUL. She is also such a good hostess. There were towels by the pool, right beside a sunscreen station. Her husband was in charge of making hamburgers- that were OMG-so-delicious. And for drinks, Kelly did a frosé (a frozen rosé). I'm pretty sure she has the recipe in her blog, go check it out!
Gabe, my husband, is obsessed with his little drone. You can also check out his review on it (in case you are interested in purchasing one). He also does amazing lightroom tutorials for all of you interested in improving your photography game!
Ok back to the drone, he took it and we got some dope shots at the pool. Well, drone shots are amazing and if you add a little swan, they get even better!
Let me know what you think! XOXO
¡BESOS
Last week, I was invited by Disney Springs to enjoy a few days in Orlando with a group of incredible bloggers- such an incredible experience.
Our day started with a breakfast and presentation of all Disney Springs was about; how it started in 1975 and how it has evolved and expanded over the years. A few years ago, when it was still Downtown Disney, I went with a couple of friends and Gabe to celebrate 4th of July- the fireworks were absolutely incredible.
Over the day we explored certain venues, shopped around, ate, and drank. Reason why I wanted to share 10 things you must do at Disney Springs.
Let's get started!
Empecemos.
Last Sunday I was the host of an amazing event thanks to Colgate Optic White- which was part of my annual partnership as the Designer Smile Squad. The concept, so much fun, was spending the morning on a boat with an amazing group of bloggers drinking mimosas and talking fashion (best plan ever!).
I really had a blast...I always love seeing my girls! I also took a rack of clothing with me with my favorite trends...but we all agreed that our best accessory is always a big smile!!
XOXO

Last week, I attended a fun hispanic award show...which meant getting ready with two of my closest blogger friends (Kelly Saks and Annie Vazquez) and Dove Dry Spray.
Our day started getting ready at a suite in a hotel in South Beach where we had a blast drinking champagne, eating quesadillas...and of course sharing beauty and fashion tips (while taking tons of pictures in the meantime!!).
One of my favorite tips when getting ready for a big event is to smoothly rub two ice cubes on my face for a couple of minutes (focus on the eye area, especially if you had a busy day before and couldn't get enough beauty sleep). This also shrinks your pores and your makeup will look flawless all night.
When it comes to choosing what to wear, I get very indecisive- I even brought 3 looks to make sure the one I ended up wearing matched my mood. Before discovering Dove Dry Spray last year, I would leave white deodorant marks everywhere (so annoying!). But not anymore, I love how the Drove Dry Spray doesn't leave any residue and it keeps me fresh and confident all night WHILE moisturizing my underarms.
I ended up wearing this blue dress...the detailing of the lace is just GORGEOUS. I kept it simple with my nude mules and a gold bag (which was a gift from the Dove team when we got to the room..so sweet!!)
Have you #TryDry with Dove? Let me know in the comments what are your tips when getting ready for a night out. XOXO
¡BESOS!.
I've never liked taking pictures at night, I feel like the whole looks gets a little lost...but I really wanted to show you my day to night look. As I've mentioned on yesterday's post, I just changed my highwaisted pants for a fun leather skirt. I wore this on Saturday night to go to Art Walk Miami, specifically to Wynwood Squat since there was an exhibit with the 26 blogger's pictures for Fashion for a cause. Even though it was crazy to get there, there were so many cool boutiques with unique pieces and most of the bloggers came- we even felt like local celebrities with so many flashes around ...just kidding! I hope you like the pictures and if you live in MIami, you have to go to StyleWars this Thursday! RSVP here
