This past Saturday, L’Oreal Paris and Allure magazine did exclusive events in different cities of the country to celebrate BEAUTY! I hosted the one in Miami and it was a blast to talk about the new L’Oreal Paris products  and beauty trends…but also help people update their beauty routine or try something different for the day!

Fashion was my first love… but the hair and makeup can either make or break an outfit. A red lipstick can turn the most basic outfit into a killer outfit…and a dramatic smoky eye can give you the inner confidence to rock a body-con dress! I personally see makeup as a way of enhancing your natural beauty…so why not celebrate that!?

I love trying out new beauty products. I always look for quality and affordability…loving makeup doesn’t mean having to spend half of your salary on it.  L’Oreal Paris has been in my makeup bag for as long as I can remember and the new products didn’t disappoint…at all!

El pasado sábado, L'Oreal Paris y la revista Allure estuvieron haciendo eventos exclusivos en distintas ciudades de Estados Unidos para celebrar el mundo de la BELLEZA. Yo fui la anfitriona del de Miami y fue increíble probar los nuevos productos, hablar de nuevas tendencias...pero lo mejor fue ayudar a mujeres a actualizar su rutina de belleza o intentar una nueva tendencia por el día.

El mundo de la moda fue como mi primer amor, pero he aprendido que el look nunca está completo sin el cabello y maquillaje adecuado. Un labial rojo puede convertir un outfit básico en uno espectacular... y unos ojos ahumados pueden darte la confianza en ti misma para usar un vestido ceñido al cuero. Yo personalmente veo el maquillaje como una manera de realzar tu belleza natural...¿así que porque no celebrar esa belleza natural!?

A mi me encanta probar nuevos productos. Siempre busco calidad pero también que sea asequible. Que te guste el maquillaje no significa que tienes que gastar la mitad de tu salario en el. L'Oreal Paris ha estado en mi kit de maquillaje desde siempre...y estos nuevos productos no me decepcionaron ..PARA NADA. Así que les cuento de mis favoritos.

When you live in Miami (or any tropical location), the best way to update your wardrobe for each season is to play with colors. When I think of Spring, I always think of pastel colors and fun floral prints.  I think Ted Baker always has the best original prints for Spring….and I couldn't help with fall in love with the latest collection (with has the coolest Instagram campaign!!). The #Pinch_Me campaign pictures have hidden messages and figures that appear when you play with the Instagram filters. Cuando me dicen Primavera, me imagino colores pasteles  y estampados florales.  Siento que Ted Baker es el mejor cuando se trata de estampados primaverales, siempre termino entrando a esta tienda en esta temporada. Por cierto, ¿vieron la nueva campaña? Me parece genial el uso de Instagram…las fotos de la campaña revela mensajes e imágenes escondidas cuando juegas con los filtros de la aplicación. Last Monday I had a great opportunity to give a little speech about fashion and colors with Ford and a group of hispanic bloggers. I talked about the trendiest colors for the season, what they mean, and how to wear them. I used to hate public speaking- but I feel like I'm getting better and better at it (nothing like beating your fears). Beside the speech, they pampered us with manicures, pedicures, cupcakes, and champagne...the perfect girly/chill environment. For the occasion , I ended up wearing this comfy floral romper with neutral fun accessories. Hope you like the outfit and pics! XOXO

Este lunes tuve la oportunidad de dar una pequeña charla sobre los colores y moda junto a Ford y a un grupo genial de blogueras/editoras latinas. Hablé sobre las tendencias de colores están de moda, que significan, y como combinar los colores al momento de vestirnos. Hace años me ponía muy nerviosa al momento de hablar en pública, pero con práctica he mejorado muchísimo. Aparte de la charla; nos consintieron con manicuras y pedicuras.. y por supuesto, no podían faltar los pasapalos y la champaña. Me gustó mucho ver a este grupo de blogueras y compartir con ellas en este ambiente tan relax. Last weekend was "Memorial Day Week", which means... long weekend!! Reason why on Sunday we ended up going to the pool with a couple of friends. Before heading out to the pool, Gabo and I went on a little bike ride around (Sadly, his bike got stolen a couple of days after...so upsetting and frustrating). We saw this train tracks, right by the road (no need to worry, they don't use them anymore). It was so hot out that I ended up wearing this two-piece number that looks like a retro bathing suit. I paired it with a turbans and big round sunglasses. Hope your week is starting amazingly! XOXO

El fin de semana pasado fue "Memorial Day Weekend" en Estados Unidos...eso significa: fin de semana largo!! Razón por la cual el domingo vinieron un grupo de amigos a mi casa y estuvimos un rato en la piscina. Antes de ir a la piscina, Gabo y yo nos fuimos a pasear en bicicleta por Downtown.  Le pasamos por el lado a esta vía de tren...no se preocupen que por ahí no pasan trenes- justo termina ahí y es una vía de tren de hace décadas. Ya que estaba haciendo tanto calor, quise usar este conjunto de dos piezas encima de mi traje de baño junto a una cinta en la cabeza y unos lentes redondos grandes.  Espero que su semana empiece genial! Un abrazo grandotote!!!

This is not the first time I do a remix of a white blouse... on the other hand, it's one of those items you'll easily wear over and over again. If you don't already have one...go get one ASAP- they are so classy and versatile. This time I got a sleeveless blouse, they are a little more casual but still as timeless. As you can see, I've worn it knotted, buttoned up, and buttoned down to show a little lace. Also, I've worn it with shorts, maxi skirts, and mini skirts (well.. jeans too but I didn't take pics that day!). When it comes to textures/prints: it obviously goes with everything... from animal print, florals, leather, and flowy fabrics like chiffon. Mine is from ROMWE and it's still on sale for $25- but I'm sure you can find a similar silhouette at a local store.

Esta no es la primera vez que hago un remix de una blusa blanca... al contrario, es de esas piezas que HAY que tener en el closet ya que combinan con todo y nunca pasan de moda. Pero esta vez quise comprar una sin mangas... es un poco más casual pero igual de versátil. La he usado anudada, abotonada hasta el final, y bastante desabotonada para mostrar un toque de encaje. Como pueden ver la he usado con shorts, faldas largas, y mini faldas. Y en cuanto a texturas/estampados: obviamente va con todo- desde animal print, estampados florales, cuero, y piezas vamporosas de chiffon. La mía es de Romwe y la pueden encontrar AQUI por $25- pero estoy segura que encontraran alguna similar en sus tiendas favoritas.

Another day at the beach.... as you can see there I started to look a little more tan. For the second day at the beach, I chose this bikini which was my parent's Christmas gift ( which was supposed to be a surprise, but I picked it). The day I was browsing through the store I was looking for different styles- not the typical triangle or strapless bikini... and I felt in love with the flared top and its floral print. The best part about Maaji's swimsuits is that they are reversible... making them extra versatile, just the way I like it.  Oh btw, this is not in Miami... I was in Aruba for the New Year. XOXO

Otro día de playa....como ven ya aquí empiezo a tener un poquito más de color! Para el segundo día en la playa, escogí este traje de baño que me regalaron mis papás de Navidad (supuestamente fue sorpresa aunque yo lo escogí en la tienda). Cuando estaba viendo los bikinis de Maaji, estaba buscando modelos diferentes a los típicos strapless o de triangulos. Este me llamó mucho la atención por el vuelo de la parte de arriba, y es extremadamente cómodo. Lo mejor de todo es que casi todos los trajes de baño de esa tienda son reversibles, entonces puedes sacarle muchísimo provecho. Un abrazo grandísimo!!!

This look was actually from two wednesdays ago, I wore it to go to a bloggers breakfast with  Armani Exchange- I wasn't sure if I should publish it or retake the pics- that day I was extremely sick and I feel it shows a little on my face. I had so much fun since I got to meet and spend time with some Miami bloggers I didn't know as much. Also, we tried half of the store and we got to choose a piece to keep. I found the perfect leather sheath dress...as soon as I tried it on..I felt like it was made for me.  I talked with the AX team for a while and they shared how the brand is taking a trendy/modern direction- and I completely agree, there were so many on-trend pieces. Even though I took my camera with me, I always forget to change the lens ( I use one for the outfit pics that doesn't let you zoom in or out...so it's terrible for indoors since you have to be to far for the whole thing to fit). Este look es de hace dos miércoles que fui a un desayuno de blogueras con Armani Exchange- lo había guardado porque no estaba segura de las fotos, ese día estaba extremadamente enferma y siento que se nota en mi cara. Fue chevere porque fue un grupo de blogueras diferente; tuve la oportunidad de conocerlas mejor y compartir con ellas. También estuvimos probandonos muchísima ropa, y pude escoger un vestido espectacular de cuero (¿sabes cuando te pruebas algo y sientes que fue casi que hecho a tu medida!?). Estuvimos hablando con el equipo de AX y ellos nos cuentas que quieren cambiar un poquito la imagen de la marca- y tienen piezas muy en tendencia. Me llevé mi cámara al evento pero siempre se me olvida cambiar el lente (el que utilizo no tiene zoom in, para que se vea el fondo más borroso- entonces hay que alejarse mucho y no salen bien las fotos). Pero las invito a pasar por AX y se enamoren de muchas cositas. Abrazos grande!

As I've mentioned, moving is a lot crazier than I thought- you have no idea how many useless things you keep until you have to move! The whole process of packing, unpacking, donating, throwing away...has been exhausting- but finally, it's looking like a home! On Saturday, a couple of my best friends came over with a truck to take some furniture and this is what I wore (yes, even my friends were like "why are you were that?"- but it's just a top, shorts, and flats....with bows, florals and pretty colors!). We took a break and had a late luch and then the unpacking continued! As you can see, the top looks like a regular sleeveless blouse from the front but it has the cutest bows on the back... and don't get me started on the amazing floral print! Hope you liked the look ! Como les mencioné, he estado a millón con la mudanza desde el jueves- tenía casi 6 años viviendo en el mismo apartamento y uno no se imagina la cantidad de cosas que se van acumulando. Ha sido un proceso de botar, regalar, empacar, desempacar, arreglar...pero poco a poco! El sábado llevamos los muebles grandes y vinieron varios de mis mejores amigos a ayudar- y eso es lo que yo decidí usar (si todos me estaban molestando de porque estaba "tan arreglada") pero yo estaba cómoda... y mientras los hombres movían muebles yo solo ponía todo en su puesto. Luego fuimos a comer y seguimos con el maratón! La camisa parece una blusa sencillita hasta que te volteas, tiene el detalle más espectacular con lazos... y ni hablar del estampado de los shorts <3 <3 ¡Espero que les haya gustado! ¡Abrazos!
