Last month I was so excited I got to share my favorite Neutrogena on Glamour Magazine...but my excitement did not stop there because they came to Miami Swim Week for a media event and I was asked to host it! As a blogger, the most important thing is partnering with brands you truly love and believe in...and well, I have been using Neutrogena for as long as I can remember!
The event started with a bootcamp class by the beach with a small group of bloggers/media. It was VERY sunny, so our first stop was the Neutrogena Suncare Station; there was a variety of sunscreens to try. I went for the CoolDry Sport in Spray with SPF70- which is great because it is water and sweat resistant for up to 80 minutes. Honestly I was a little worry I was going to pass out during the class, but I can proudly say I did it without quitting!!
After that we headed to the Spa at the Soho Beach House to shower and get ready. We were impressed that they had everything you might need...from deodorant to hair tools. I quickly changed to my romper, you can also see the look and all details here. Without any makeup on, I headed to the brunch/makeup touch-ups part of the event where I literally had granola while getting ready with Elizabeth Ulloa, Neutrogena makeup artist.
For the face, Elizabeth used the Healthy Skin foundation in Natural Beige and the Healthy Skin Custom Glow blush and bronzer duo (which I've used since like 2010!). For the eyes, she used the Nourishing Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-in Primer in Soft Taupe. These eyeshadows are fantastic because they have the primer already included, so they last up to 12 hours without creasing or smudging (which is exactly what I needed because I had a long day of shows and events). After mascara and filling in my eyebrows, she just applied MoistureSmooth Color Stick..another favorite (okay I know I have many favorites, but again...Neutrogena has some great products!). I love these color sticks because they give you a little bit of color and a TON of hydration...my lips are very dry and these are great!
I invited all the amazing Miami bloggers and I was so happy so see so many familiar faces! I really had a blast...so much that I wasn't tweeting/snapchatting as much as I should have...but hey, life is what happens when we put our phone down. ¿Se acuerdan que el mes pasado les conté de mis productos favoritos de Neutrogena en la revista Glamour? Para celebrar la semana de la moda Swim, Glamour y Neutrogena planificaron un evento en Miami muy chevere en el cual me invitaron a ser la anfitriona....yo feliz de la vida porque como saben Neutrogena es una marca que llevo utilizando toda la vida y nada como trabajar con marcas que usas diariamente.
El evento empezó con una clase de bootcamp con un grupo pequeño de blogger. Como estábamos en pleno sol de Miami, la primera parada fue la estación de Neutrogena para aplicarnos protector solar. Yo personalmente me aplica el protector de la linea "CoolDry Sport" en spray SPF70- perfecto porque es resistente al sudor y al agua por 80 minutos. Yo estaba un poco preocupada que el bootcamp fuese muy fuerte..pero orgullosamente aguante hasta el final!
Después de ahà nos fuimos a bañarnos- quedamos bastante impresionadas porque el Spa del Soho Beach House tiene desde desodorante hasta secador y plancha...mi look completo con todos los detalles lo pueden ver en el post de ayer haciendo click por acá. Después fue el brunch..el cual era justo y necesario después de hacer ejercicio en la arena. Me estaba desmayando del hambre, asà que comà mientras Elizabeth Ulloa, maquilladora de Neutrogena, se encargara de ponerme presentable para el resto del dÃa.
Para la cara, Elizabeth utilizó la base Healthy Skin en Natural Beige y el Healthy Skin Custom Glow que tiene rubor y bronzer en uno (¡de mis favoritos!). Para los ojos, aplico las sombras Nourishing Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-in Primer en el tono Soft Taupe. Estas sombras son excelentes porque tienen el primer incluido en la sombra y asà te puede durar hasta 12 horas sin que se corra...aparte tiene vitaminas para mantener el area del ojo, que es tan delicada, hidratada. Y después del aplicar mascara y rellenar un poco mis cejas, aplicó el MoistureSmooth Color Stick...que es otro de mis favoritos (okay si tengo muchos favoritos de Neutrogena!)...pero me gusta porque da un toque de color e hidrata los labios- los mios son extra secos por eso me encantan estos labiales.
Invité a muchas amigas bloggers y de verdad que estaba muy contenta de que tantas fueran a saludar y a retocarse el maquillaje. Me hubiese gustado haber tomado más fotos, o estar subiendo más Snapchats o tuiteando pero de verdad que cuando uno esta disfrutando el momento, no hay tiempo para las redes sociales.

Like many of you already know- because I have mentioned it so many times, I attended Hispanicize 2012 this year- which is an annual event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in social media, marketing, entertainment and innovation. It wasn't just a place to learn with bloggers, brands, marketers and media.. we also had lots of fun at different parties (Like the McDonalds Yatch Party). This year I had the opportunity to be a speaker at the fashion panel with Carmen-Viva Fashion, Adriana- Diario de la Moda, & Flor de Maria Fashion. We talk about how we started the blog, how we do it, how we work with brands, how we choose to cover certain topics, etc. It was an amazing experience and I'm so thankful with the Hispanicize team for giving me this opportunity- and specially, I wanted to thank you; and I don't think I say it as enough as I should.. thanks because my blog is what it is because of YOU! :)

Como les conté, la semana pasada estuve en la conferencia Hispanicize- para contarles un poquito, es un evento dedicado a los Latinos en social media, marketing, entretenimiento y más. Pero no era solo un lugar para ir a aprender junto a blogueras, marcas, compañÃas.. también habÃan muchÃsimas fiestas y eventos para compartir (como la de McDonalds que les hablé AQUI). Este año tuve la oportunidad de hablar en el panel de moda junto a Carmen de Viva Fashion, Adriana del Diario de la Moda, y Flor de Maria Fashion- ahà compartimos como empezamos con el blog, como trabajamos con las marcas, y uno que otro consejito sobre blogueras de moda y belleza. Fue una experiencia increÃble y le doy las gracias al equipo de Hispanicize por estar oportunidad- también quiero agradecerles a ustedes porque siento que no lo digo suficiente y no tienen idea agradecida que me siento con todas ustedes por todo el apoyo que me han dado!
This week was CRAZY- it started with classes the whole day on Monday and Tuesday.. and then I spent the next three days at the Hispanicize conference (where I was a speaker on Friday on a panel about fashion). I was so happy to be able to spend time with bloggers-who-have-became-friends, learn on the sessions, and meet different brands to talk about future projects. Even though, these are pics from Wednesday night, I really want to share pics from the day too (I wore a very comfy and colorful outfit). That day, I ran to the conference and forgot a couple of things for my night-look... so I ended up borrowing Flor's clothing (except the skirt!). I wore this to a McDonalds yacht party, which was amazing; the boat was huge, there was food/drinks/music, we enjoyed the gorgeous Miami skyline and I had so much fun with the lovely lor de Maria Fashion & Mercedes from BeChicMag. Hope you like the pics!

Esta semana fue totalmente agotadora- tuve clases todo el lunes y martes... y el miércoles empezó la conferencia Hispanicize (el la cual fui hablante el viernes en un panel de moda, luego les contaré más). El miércoles fue el primer dÃa de la conferencia y fue súper emocionante compartir con blogueras (que ya son más que blogueras, son amigas), aprender en los paneles, y reuniremos con diferentes marcas para futuros proyectos. También quiero compartir fotos de mi primer outfit este miércoles, fui muy cómoda- y tenÃa tantas cosas encima que apenas pude meter en mi cartera dos tonterÃas para la noche. Por lo cual terminé robándole a Flor mucha ropa (incluyendo la camisa, accesorios, y zapatos). Fuimos a una fiesta de McDonalds en un yate espectacular, el cual paseó por la bahÃa y pude tomar unas fotos lindÃsimas de la vista de Miami. HabÃa música, comida y cocktails...pero la mejor parte fue pasarla con mis queridÃsimas Flor de Maria Fashion y Mercedes de BeChicMag. Espero que les gusten las fotos!

I don't why I didn't post this outfit from Chicago before!! But here it is... better late than never. After spending the whole day in blogger conferences, we headed back to the hotel and the Mary Kay suite to get ready for the LATISM Gala Awards. We had dinner while they were giving awards to the best latinos in social media the past year. The best part is that we got to spend time with other bloggers as you can see below. I decided to wear this teal dress (seen HERE) but to show its versatility, I wore it with black/silver accessories. Also, I "stole" Flor's boots again- I was going to freeze with my simple ankle booties! I hope you are having an amazing week! XOXO

Yo y mi despiste, ¡¡ se me olvidó poner este outfit de Chicago!! Después de pasar el dÃa en charlas de LATISM- regresamos al hotel rapidito a arreglarnos en la suite de Mary Kay y a vestirnos para los premios Gala. Mientras cenabamos, estuvieron premiando a los latinos más influyentes en las redes sociales- y lo mejor de todo es que compartimos con más blogueras como van a poder ver en la foto debajo.Sobre mi outfit: decidà usar este vestido verde azulado que ya han visto (click aquà si no te acuerdas como lo utilicé)- pero esta vez quise combinarlo con negro y gris en vez de cremas/dorados. Decidà robarle a Flor sus botas ya que abrigaban mucho más que los botines que yo habÃa llevado. Espero que esten pasando una semana lindÃsima! Un beso!
Since I was little, I can't wait to wear something new- I even used to walk out of the store wearing the new stuff and the old ones would be inside the bag. So I'm wearing several birthday gifts- including the pants, top and necklace. When I met Flor in San Francisco, she gifted me one of the necklaces of her new online store- and the cutest part is that she named it after me ("The Dany necklace"). I really love it because it has silver, bronze, gold, black, and transparent pieces- so you can wear it with anything. I decided to paired it with my new leather pants and this half sheer gray shirt from Madonna's Material Girl collection for Macys. I wore this outfit to go to school with flats; then I changed it up to heels and I headed to have an early dinner with my family. Finally, I wanted to thanks everyone because we reached 5,000 likes on Facebook and 2,000 followers via google! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
