I have been living in these staples all summer long. I have not stopped wearing this top since last Summer, and this skirt goes absolutely with anything. I've been thinking of getting it in black...but I don't want to be that crazy girl with the same style in different colors. Meh whatever, as long as you wear something a lot...all excuses are valid!

Estas han sido de mis tendencias favoritas todo el año...y me encantan especialmente para el verano. Este top lo he usado TANTO desde el verano pasado. La falda va con todo...estuve ojeando una negra en H&M pero no quiero ser de esas chicas que compran lo mismo en todos los colores. Mientras lo utilices todo el tiempo, todas las excusas son válidas.

Estas sandalias son la versión económica de unas Chloe..y son TAN cómodas. Abajo les dejo versiones similares de todo.

Knowing that I'll be in New York City in a couple of days makes me have butterflies of nervousness. Some of you already known that Gabo, my boyfriend and "photographer", is not coming with me. The first question everyone asks  (instead of, are you going to miss him?)  is "What are you going to do about the blog!? I've been trying to figure it out; one of the things I've been doing is saving the outfits to post later. I used to post the day after- but for example, these pics are almost from two weeks ago. Okay parenthesis closed, this is what I wore to one of those crazy Thursdays that Miami has a million fashion events. I started at the opening of a store called Eberjey- they sell the cutest intimate clothing. After that, I headed to a Jergens lunch with Miami bloggers; it was delicious and so much fun to see the girls. Finally, I ended up at Bal Harbour doing a manicure with Dior and meeting bag-designer Nancy Gonzalez. But my day didn't end there, I had to finish a final project for school! This is what I wore: an asymmetrical skirt with amazing movement, a crochet crop top, and the sandals I don't get tired of wearing.  Enough writing...enjoy the pics! XOXO

En pocos días me voy a Nueva York a hacer mi pasantía (estoy extremadamente nerviosa pero emocionada). Creo que les he mencionado que Gabo, mi novio y quien me toma las fotos, no va conmigo- y lo primero que me pregunta todo el mundo es "¿y qué va a pasar con el blog en esos meses? Mi respuesta: "no se, ahí veremos..." El va a ir a visitarme, y usaré a algunas de mis amigas en NYC como fotógrafas. Pero me he estado preparando, tengo muchísimo contenido y posts.... razón por la cual estoy no estoy publicando tan inmediatamente como hacía antes. Por ejemplo, este posts es de hace casi dos semanas. Bueno cerrando este paréntesis, les cuento que esto lo usé para uno de esos jueves que parecen imposibles de la cantidad de eventos. Empecé en la apertura de una tienda de ropa interior llamada Eberjey, de ahí seguí a un almuerzo de blogueras con la marca de crema Jergens, y terminé en Bal Harbour haciéndome una manicure con Dior y conociendo a la diseñadora de carteras: Nancy Gonzalez.  Y esto fue lo que me quise poner: una falda asimétrica con el movimiento más espectacular del mundo **si, un poco exagerada**, un top cortito de crochet, y las sandalias que hacen sentir a cualquier look completo. Ya hablé muchísimo, espero que les gusten las fotos!!

Mientras me congelo en esta nevada de Nueva York, añoro el calorcito del caribe con estas fotos de la semana pasada. Se que me he quejado mucho del calor extremo de Miami- pero esto de no sentir los deditos es una locura (yo me quedo en los climas tropicales, donde se puede ir a la playita todo el año y no hay que preocuparse por usar un mínimo de 5 capas). El domingo pasado me escapé un ratito a la piscina; leí un poco, jugamos raqueta de playa, y saqué de paseo mi nuevo infalible...una dona mordida!! A mi me encanta la onda retro de los trajes de baño a la cintura- si lo se, no son la mejor opción para broncearte pero si lo que quieres es disfrutar de la playa/piscina con protector, son lo mejor. Y aunque generalmente me gustan más los trajes de baños MUY coloridos, quise hacer una excepción  con este de Orchid Boutique- y terminé haciendo mi look de playa todo negro. Espero que les gusten estas fotitos... todavía tengo varias de Miami de esta semana pero ya empezaré a publicar una semanita de look invernales! Besos y feliz fin de semana!

My day started doing a midterm project for Fashion School- it was about streetstyle trends and I had to take pictures and group the trends together. Gladly, I was in New York and it was probably a lot easier there (special thanks to Ashley because she helped me SO much- we literally were walking like crazy around the city and asking people if we could take their picture). It was so much fun that I'm even thinking in doing a section in streetstyle, I'll share the pictures and you tell me if you like the idea. I wore this to the BlogHer conference, and changed to flats while walking around the city...and back to heels to eat with the girls at a Mexican restaurant. Saturday was an extremely hot day, I wanted to wear jeans but it was impossible. So I went for my favorite maxi skirt and added a crochet top (it actually has some fringes but it looks more polished tucked in). I hope you liked this look! XOXO

Mi día empezó haciendo un trabajo para la universidad- era tomarle fotos a las tendencias que veíamos en la calle, así que fue perfecto que estuviera en Nueva York. Ashley me ayudó y estuvimos molestando a la gente en todos lados. Tomé fotos lindísimas de gente en la calle, el jueves les muestro las fotos y ustedes me dices si quieren convertirlo en una sección en el blog. También fui a la conferencia de BlogHer y estuve compartiendo con Ashley, Amanda y Camilla. Después en la noche fuimos a comer en un restaurante mexicano y la pasamos genial. El sábado fue otro día extremadamente caliente en calor- tenía pensado ponerme unos jeans pero me hubiera derretido. Así que opté por mi maxi falda favorita y un top de crochet extremadamente fresco (originalmente tiene unos flecos que escondí con la falda pero ya veran que se pueden ver totalmente distinto); unas plataformas para la conferencia/cena y luego unos flats foraditos para caminar por Nueva York. Espero que les haya gustado este look! Abrazos grandísimos a todos!

I was supposed to go the pool with a group of friends on Sunday but I think all of us were in family-mode. Originally, I was going to wear this with sandals and a bathing suit underneath- and even though, almost nobody wears shorts in Caracas... I really wanted to wear them AGAIN (this is my third time wearing these crochet shorts on the blog). So change of plans, I ended up going to a restaurant with my parents and brother- it was amazing, everything they had was traditional venezuelan food from the 1800's. After that, I headed home and I got to see a couple of my best friends from high school- so excited to see them after 2 years. Once again, thanks for visiting my blog, it means the world to em!

El domingo se supone que iba a ir a la piscina con un grupo de amigas pero todas estabamos en plan familiar. Originalmente iba a usar esto con sandalias, y el traje de baño- y aunque casi nadie utiliza shorts en Caracas, estaba antojada de usarlos OTRA VEZ (esta es la tercera vez que aparecen en el blog.. y me encantan). Ya que iba a comer con mi familia, quise mantener el look sencillo y de día con unos flats de color nude y accesorios dorados. Fuimos a un restaurante de comida colonial caraquella- si vives en Caracas, se llama "El Establo" y queda por El Hatillo- se los recomiendo, todo es exquisito! Después al regresar a la casa, vi a varias de mis mejores amigas que tenía muchísimo tiempo sin ver. ¡Gracias por visitar el blog! ¡Un abrazo grandísimo!

I can't get enough of these crochet shorts, I really want to wear them non-stop. So.. who cares, I wore them AGAIN, but this time with black pieces and gold accessories. I wore this on Father's Day- since my family was in Venezuela and Gabo's parents were visiting, we spent the day with them. First we ate at their place where his sister cook some amazing home-made pizza, then we try to go to a park around the beach just to relax and take some pictures but it was impossible (it was gorgeous outside and everyone was there). So we ended up having some yogurt at those places where you add fruits/candy/chocolate. I hope you like my look from Sunday! Have an amazing day! Me fascinaron tanto estos shorts de crochet que no podía esperar para volver a usarlos- pero en esta ocasión solo lo combiné con prendas negras y accesorios dorados. Esto fue lo que usé el Día del Padre- ya que la familia de Gabo estaba en Miami, la pasé con ellos. Primero comimos pizza casera hecha por su hermana, después intentamos ir a pasear en un parque en la playa pero fue una misión imposible, el día estaba muy lindo y no cabía un alma en la playa. Así que nos devolvimos y terminamos comiendo en un sitio de esos de yogurt que le añades frutas/chocolate. Espero que les haya gustado el look de domingo!
