I don't why I didn't post this outfit from Chicago before!! But here it is... better late than never. After spending the whole day in blogger conferences, we headed back to the hotel and the Mary Kay suite to get ready for the LATISM Gala Awards. We had dinner while they were giving awards to the best latinos in social media the past year. The best part is that we got to spend time with other bloggers as you can see below. I decided to wear this teal dress (seen HERE) but to show its versatility, I wore it with black/silver accessories. Also, I "stole" Flor's boots again- I was going to freeze with my simple ankle booties! I hope you are having an amazing week! XOXO

Yo y mi despiste, ¡¡ se me olvidó poner este outfit de Chicago!! Después de pasar el día en charlas de LATISM- regresamos al hotel rapidito a arreglarnos en la suite de Mary Kay y a vestirnos para los premios Gala. Mientras cenabamos, estuvieron premiando a los latinos más influyentes en las redes sociales- y lo mejor de todo es que compartimos con más blogueras como van a poder ver en la foto debajo.Sobre mi outfit: decidí usar este vestido verde azulado que ya han visto (click aquí si no te acuerdas como lo utilicé)- pero esta vez quise combinarlo con negro y gris en vez de cremas/dorados. Decidí robarle a Flor sus botas ya que abrigaban mucho más que los botines que yo había llevado. Espero que esten pasando una semana lindísima! Un beso!

This is what I wore during my first night in Chicago- after sleeping the whole afternoon (I was very tired from the early flight), Flor arrived and we decided to "explore" the city. I was starving so we stopped at this restaurant/bar to eat these amazing hamburgers! This is like my "uniform" when I go to cold weather- a cozy long sleeve dress, coat, boots, warm leggings, and a scarf (but it wasn't enough, it was colder than I expected). Btw I think Flor is going to kill me because I posted a pic with her without her permission! Hope you are having an amazing & productive week! XOXO
Esto fue lo que utilicé mi primera noche en Chicago- después de descansar toda la tarde en hotel, Flor llegó y decidimos aventurarnos por la ciudad e ir a comer a un restaurante que quedaba relativamente cerca del hotel. Lo que me puse fue un vestido sencillo manga larga, unos leggings gruesos, las botas prestadas de flor, un abrigo y la bufanda. Estaba haciendo más frío de lo que me esperaba (recuerden que era el primer día y yo estaba confiada que como todavía no es ni invierno no iba a hacer tanto frío). Abajo van a ver creo que la única foto que Flor y yo nos tomamos juntas, seguro me va a regañar por ponerla jaaja. Un abrazo a todas!

As I think I mentioned on other post, my roommate in Chicago is Flor (from Flordemariafashion.com) and we have been sharing our clothes like crazy. If you check her blog, you are probably going to recognize a couple of items- this time I'm wearing her amazing boots and faux fur vest ( I repeat.. faux!!). This is what I wore to the second day of the LATISM conference- I was able to attend a couple of interesting panels. I learned about how to build a brand with your blog, how to use social media, and more. We took these pics outside the Navy pier where the conference was located and we were freezing because we left out coats at the coat check. I really admire everyone that lives where it gets so cold- I don't know how you girls do it! Have a great weekend!! XOXO
Creo que les mencioné que mi compañera de cuarto en Chicago es Flor (www.flordemariafashion.com), y hemos estado compartiendo ropa como locas.  Probablemente cuando ella publique sus looks reconocerán algunas piezas, y en este outfit estoy usando sus botas y su chaleco de "piel" (piel sintética, no se preocupen!!). Esto fue lo que utilicé para el segundo día de la conferencia de Latism- fui a varias charlas interesantes sobre como construir una marca con tu blog y como utilizar los medios sociales. Estas fotos las tomamos afuera y nos estábamos congelándonos porque no teníamos la chaqueta que se supone que iba encima (aunque tengo que admitir que el chaleco ayudó bastante). De verdad que admiro a todas las personas que pasan por las 4 estaciones- no se como aguantan este tipo de frío! Un abrazo grandotote a todas!

Isn't it weird to see with a coat and boats!!?- as I've told you before, I was raised in Caracas, Venezuela (where it's around 75 degrees all year round); then I moved to Miami where it's hot even during the winter. That's why it's so hard for me to pack for cold weather- I only own a pair of boots!! I'm glad I got this coat last month from Missing Johnny- I love the print and how elegant it looks! I wanted it to be the focused of the outfit so I kept the rest black and very simple (but of course, I added a pop of color with the lipstick). This is what I wore to the first day of the Latism conference- but I only was able to attend one panel today because I spent most of the time at the Mary Kay suite (I'll tell you more about this tomorrow) I'm really enjoying the experience, I'm getting to know other bloggers from around the country - and my roommate is Flor from Flor de Maria Fashion. Me imagino que se les debe hacer rarísimo verme tan abrigada- como les he contado, me crié en Venezuela con el clima perfecto todo el año y ahora en Miami hace muchísimo calor hasta en Enero. Por eso hacer maletas para Chicago se me hizo muy difícil porque no tengo nada para el frío (apenas tengo un par de botas y menos mal que tengo esta chaqueta que me encantó de Missing Johnny). Esto fue lo que utilicé el primer día de la conferencia de Latism- solo pude asistir a uno de los paneles porque estuve a millón en la suite de Mary Kay ( después les cuento un poquito más de lo que estuvo sucediendo con ellos en otro post aparte). Pero la estoy pasando genial, me encanta poder compartir con blogueras que generalmente viven en otras ciudades y estoy compartiendo el cuarto con Flor (Flor de Maria Fashion).  También me gusta mucho que estas conferencias te dan la oportunidad de aprender muchísimo sobre el mundo de los bloggers!
