I love being a blogger. I love the flexibility of it. I love being able to travel, sleep until noon, and choose my own schedule.
However, just like anything- all of that comes at a price.
Sleeping until noon turns into writing at 3am, traveling turns into non-stop "content creation" trips, and choosing your own schedule becomes into "you are always working" schedule. Reason why it's really important to manage your time correctly- to keep you sane, to keep you productive, and to keep you inspired.
So here are 5 tips to manage yourself as a blogger, a creative, or a freelancer.

Like I mentioned, the reason why we were in Boston was that Gabe's high school bff, Vice, was getting married (and well, he lives there). Vice and his wife has the cutest baby girl, and we really wanted to spend time with them since we don't see them very often.
Our day started in Bunker Hill where we walked, had a late lunch, and walked some more! I was wearing my favorite white ripped jeans with the "not -so- perfect"white tee and a camo jacket. As you can see, I wore these items a lot but pairing them with different pieces to really take advantage of my small luggage in Boston.
I'm almost done with the Boston pics, I really loved the city. Can't wait to go back.

Como les mencioné, la razón por la que estábamos en Boston fue por la boda del mejor amigo de colegio de Gabe. El vive allá con su ahora esposa y la hijita (que no tienen idea lo linda que es), y de verdad querÃamos pasar la mayor cantidad de tiempo posible con ellos ya que no los vemos seguido.
Esta vez estuvimos conociéndola zona de Bunker Hill donde caminamos hasta más no poder con un descanso para almorzar.
Sobre mi look: estuve rehusando mucho las piezas que llevé a Boston para realmente sacarle provecho a todo.
TodavÃa tengo algunas fotitos de este viaje. Pero ya quiero que vean las de New Orleans, Miramar Beach y Orlando. ¡BESOS!

I love black-tie weddings, and the dress code cocktail for summer weddings can be a little tricky...how dressy should I go? I got this high-low mustard dress at Forever 21 and it was a life saver! 💛💛 when I was at the wedding, my mom kept asking for pictures to see what I was wearing. When I sent her a photo, the first thing she told me was "those shoes are so OLD" 🤣 she is right though, the first time they were featured on the blog was in 2011 and they keep making their yearly appearance. Let's see who remembers them!🤣🤣

Estamos en BOSTON...bueno la boda (del mejor amigo de Gabe) fue en un pueblito a 40 min llamado Ipswich .Yo amo las bodas asi elegantes ELEGANTES; y admito que cuando ponen vestimenta cocktail o semi-formal, me pongo a dudar .. ¿será que estoy muy casual? ¿o muy elegante?. Este vestido color mostaza de un hombro me pareció perfecto para la ocasión ; aunque era una boda en pleno verano, opté por tonos más otoñales. Apenas llegué a la boda mi mama no dejaba de pedirme fotos de que tenÃa puesto; cuando le mandé adivinen que me dijo!? " ESOS ZAPATOS SON VIEJISIMOS" jaja y tiene razón 🤣🤣Salieron en el blog por primera vez en el 2011, y siguen apareciendo año tras año! ¿Quién se acuerda?

This trend came out of nowhere. I remember I saw it first on Kim Kardashian's IG. Even though I'm not the biggest fan, I can appreciate her as someone who isn't afraid to try new trends.
There's something super edgy about this trend, but there are ways to adjust it to your personal style. For example, last month I showed you how you can wear lace tights instead of fishnets if you are more romantic or girly.
But let's focus on fishnets today. I want to to give you some tips to take full advantage of the fun pair you purchase (which btw are under $10 in most sites...you all know how I love an affordable trend!).
Esta tendencia salió de la nada. Honestamente recuero haberla visto pro primera vez en el Instagram de Kim Kardashian- de quien no soy la mayor fan pero si aprecio la manera como no tiene miedo de probar nuevas tendencias y vitalizaras como nadie.
Estas medias me parecen muy edgy, pero hay maneras de ajustar esta tendencia para que vayan con tu estilo. Por ejemplo, el mes pasado les mostré como pueden usar unas medias de encaje si tienen un estilo más romántico.
Pero hoy me voy a enfocar en las medias de mallita. Estas las pueden encontrar en muchas páginas web por menos de $10. Es decir, son una manera sencilla de actualizar cualquier look por poco dinero.
I’m not going to call it a full rant but kinda!
A couple of friends have been asking why I am not sharing pictures over here as often as I used to...and the reason is simple: I want to be more present, I want to enjoy life without looking at it through the screen of my phone. That’s the reason I’m so bad at Snapchat or IG stories; I like to put my phone down when I’m out with my friends or even at work events. I like having a real conversation with the people I’m with, instead of scrolling down my phone while pretending to listen. We need more “me” time to get inspired and find ourselves, we need more “real we” time to become better partners, better friends, better people!
He estado medio desaparecida por acá, y la razón es simple; quiero estar más presente en vez de sentir que vivo a través de la pantalla de mi teléfono. Creo que por eso es que soy tan mala en Snapchat e IG stories; me gusta poner mi teléfono en la mesa cuando estoy con mis amigos y hasta ignorarlo cuando estoy en eventos del blog. Me gustan las conversaciones de verdad, no de las que le hablas a alguien y mientras están texteando a otra persona. Creo que todos necesitamos más tiempo para nosotros, para inspirarnos, para crecer...y necesitamos más tiempo real con los demás para ser mejores amigos, mejores parejas, mejores personas.
I've been wearing sneakers and tanks more than usual (well, most of the time you can find me in my PJs or workout clothes…without the working out part haha). I guess I'm so exhausted from working on my thesis that my mind is not working in a fashion-y way. The good news: I present my thesis in 3 days and I can go back to reality. But the best news is that my thesis has to do with you ALL and it's been a way to organize me in a business way. Ultimamente ando en camisetas y sneakers todo el tiempo. No se si es el cansancio de tanto trabajar en mi tesis que no me deja ni revisar mi closet bien jaja. Las buenas noticias: presento en 3 dÃas y ya mi presentación está lista…solo tengo que arreglar un par de detalles. Pero la mejor noticia es que mi tesis tiene que ver con ustedes, y ha sido una manera de organizarme y ponerme metas para traerles mejor contenido y seguir creciendo juntas. ¡Les mando un mega abrazote!! You should never say "I would never wear XXX"- honestly I wouldn't have worn this look a couple of years ago (maybe even months). However, I think that's the best part about fashion...not being afraid to try new trends and styles. This time I'm wearing an black eyelet overall with a crop top, some flatforms, and some fun sunglasses. When I wear black&white clothes, I always end up adding a little bit of color...even if it's just lipstick. Definitivamente nunca digas nunca...hoy es de estos outfits que hace unos años (o tal vez meses) hubiese dicho "NI LOCA". Pero creo que esa es la parte divertida de la moda...atrevernos a usar cosas distintas y no tener miedo a experimentar. En esta ocasión estoy utilizando una braga negra con un top cortito crema debajo, unas plataformas planas, y unos lentes divertidos. Siempre que uso combinaciones "blanco/negro" me provoca usar un labial llamativo y esta vez también agregué la carterita vino. Esto lo utilicé la semana pasada para ir a comer con la hermosa de Valerie de Madame Fedora- a quien admiro muchÃsimo pero muchÃsimo. ¿Qué opinan de este look? ¿Se atreverÃan a usar este tipo de sandalias "flatform"? ¡¡Que pasen un bonito dÃa!!

About my look: I know I look crazy wearing a sweater in the middle of the summer. However, in Miami is cold everywhere indoors because of the A/C. I love how the fringes of the sweater give it a twist, you don't even need accessories. I paired the sweater with black pants and the coolest pointed flats, also from H&M.

H&M ha sido siempre una de mis tiendas favoritas ya que puedes encontrar lo último en moda a un precio económico y ahora puedes comprar todo oficialmente en hm.com...ustedes saben que mi lugar favorito para comprar es la "www". Sobre mi look: seguro pensarán "que loca!! usando suéter en este calor". Pero es que aunque en Miam haga el calor más horrible afuera, siempre hace frÃo adentro de los edificios por todos los aires acondicionados. Este de H&M me encantó porque es muy cómodo y los flecos que tiene el dan un toque extra (y no necesitas ni accesorios). Lo combiné con unos pantalones negros y unos flats puntiagudos que me enamoró el detalle de "piel" en la parte de adelante.

As I said recently, while doing another celebrity inspired by Miranda Kerr, I absolutely love her style. It's not only trendy, but also easy to recreate. I wore this the same week of the previous post but I ended up saving it to avoid being so repetitive. The look is almost identical...except for the prices! Miranda is wearing a Balenciaga jacket ($2500) , a Michelle Mason pleated maxi skirt ($400), and a Balenciaga flap bag (around $1200). On the other hand my whole look, including shoes and little details, is under $270- you can check out above all the link and prices respectively. I wore this for a brunch with L'Oreal- I realized I really need to do a beauty segment in the blog. I love trying new beauty products and I want to share with you some amazing finds. Como les dije hace poco, me encanta el estilo de Miranda Kerr; y en una semana terminé haciendo dos looks inspirados en ella. El primero lo vieron acá, y este lo guardé por dos semanas para que no fuese tan repetitivo. El look es casi idéntico...la gran diferencia: los precios. Miranda está usando una chaqueta Balenciaga ($2500), una falda de Michelle Mason ($400), y una cartera Balenciaga (alrededor de $1200). Mientras que mi look total, contando zapatos y accesorios, no sobrepasa los $270 (arriba pueden ver cada uno de los links y precios respectivos). Esto lo utilicé para un almuerzo con L'Oreal- y me he dado cuenta que la parte de belleza/cosmeticos necesita su propia sección en el blog. Les quiero contar de los productos de belleza que me gusta, asà que esperen un dÃa a la semana con esos temas. Un abrazo grandÃsimo!!
