The perfect way to  end 2012 was with something on my bucket list: going on a submarine. It was so much fun: we got to see a lot fishes and even two sunken ships. After that, we walked around Aruba's capital- and finally, we came back to the hotel to get ready for the New Year's party. During the day, I picked this flowy black dress with cut-outs on the side ( the dress is on sale for $16!!).. and my favorite hat. Hope you enjoy the pics below! XOXO

¿Qué mejor forma de terminar el 2012 que haciendo algo diferente? El 31 de diciembre nos montamos en un submarino. El paseo estuvo cheverísimo; vimos muchísimos peces y dos barcos hundidos. Luego  estuvimos paseando por la capital de Aruba.. y finalmente regresamos a descansar antes  de prepararnos para receibir el año nuevo. Para este día utilicé un vestido negro muy fresco para la playa  (que por cierto, esta rebajado  por solo $16) y mi sombrero de ala ancha(que fue mi mejor amigo durante el viaje). A lot of people have been asking me to do more "fall" outfits... and this is definitely as far as I can go for now. I feel like this look has like levels; if it's still too hot, wear it without the jacket and with sandals, if it's a little chilly/windy (or you just spend way too much time indoors with A/C like me) you can add the jacket and boots... and if it's already too cold, add tights and a scarf!! I always wanted to wear combat boots with a softer piece like this dress, but I felt like I wasn't ME at all- so here's my advice: if you like something, try it... never be afraid to try something different. Talking about the boots, this brand, Pink&Pepper just opened their online site...if you are a shoe-freak like me, you have to check it out! XOXO Happy friday!

Muchas me han estado pidiendo que empiece a vestirme más otoñal....y esto es lo más que puedo hacer por los momentos.  Este look tiene varios "niveles": si está haciendo calor puedes usarlo sin la chaqueta y con sandalias, si esta con viento (o en mi caso pasas mucho tiempo en aire acondicionado) puedes agregar la chaqueta y los zapatos, y si ya hace algo de frio puedes agregarle unas medias panty y una bufanda! Siempre quise usar este tipo de botas con piezas un poquito más femeninas pero sentía que no era mi estilo- así que les doy un consejo: nunca dejen de usar algo que les guste porque no va con ustedes, es divertido intentar algo que crees que no es "TU". También quiero invitarlas a que chequeen la nueva tienda online de Pink&Pepper, de donde son estas botas... si eres como yo de fanática con los zapatos, te va a encantar. FELIZ VIERNES! ¡besos!!

Even though I would LOVE to be in NYC for Fashion Week- I couldn't...my parents are in town, I'm moving, and I'm almost done with this semester in school (which means presentations and final exams). I'm so happy my family is in Miami and that they are helping me with the move- I'm not going anywhere far, I'm actually getting closer to Miami...right now I live around 25-30 min away from Miami Beach. Since the apartment is WAY smaller, I need to reduce my closet space... so I'm selling a lot of cute things in perfect condition in my little shop. OK back to this outfit: I really wanted to wear this amazing blue bag from Mimi Boutique and as soon as I grabbed it, I saw this summer scarf with the exact same color on the print. I paired it with simple white shorts, an orange top, and my comfy nude wedges. Hope you are having an amazing weekend! XOXO

Por mucho que me encantaría estar en la Semana de la Moda en Nueva York- estoy feliz que mi familia esta visitándome en Miami (ellos, la mudanza, y examenes finales en la universidad fueron mis razones para no poder asistir a esta temporada en NYC). Y sii, si Dios quiere me mudo en estos días...más cerca de Miami Miami- vivo como en las afueritas, 25min de la playa.  Como el apartamento es MUCHO pero mucho más pequeño, necesito reducir mi closet...por eso las invito a mi tiendita en donde voy a estar agregando más y más piezas (por los momentos solo puedo enviar en USA pero si vives en Caracas, avísame y en dos semanitas estará en tus manos!). Ok...ahora si sobre el outfit: quería estrenar esta cartera azul de Mimi Boutique y apenas la agarré, vi este pañuelo veraniego con el mismo color en el estampado. De resto lo combiné con unos shorts blancos, un top naranja pálido, y mis plataformas nude que son comodísimas. ¡FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA!!! ¡Besos y abrazos!

I'm sorry I was MIA for the past couple of days- I was in New York for a Naughty Monkey  and I had limited internet access. I got in the City on Thursday night and I stayed at Flor's place- thank you Flor for your hospitality! I wore this on Friday to walk around the city with Ashley and Flor- and then we ate at the Meatpacking district. Also, we were invited to the Bollare showroom to pick up a couple of things, and we had so much fun trying everything on. After that we headed back to change for the event...but more pictures on that tomorrow! About my outfit: it was so hot in New York that I just wanted to wear light and long dresses. As soon I saw this dress in Flor's closet, I couldn't wait to wear it...the color and fit is gorgeous, I can't believe it's from Old Navy. I hope you liked this look! XOXO

Estuve unos días desaparecida del blog porque estuve en Nueva York para un evento de Naughty Monkey y tenía poco acceso a internet. Llegué el jueves en la noche y me estuve quedando en casa de Flor- Flor, gracias por tu hospitalidad! Esto fue lo que utilicé el viernes para pasar el día con Ashley y Flor; quisimos aprovechar el día paseando por Nueva York  y luego fuimos a comer en el Meatpacking. También pasamos por Bollare y escogimos cosas lindísimas que ya verán en el blog, incluyendo el collar que llevo puesto en estas fotos. Finalmente regresé a casa de Flor para cambiarnos y seguir al evento... mañana pongo fotitos del evento! Sobre mi outfit: está haciendo tanto en NYC que estuve usando todos los días vestidos largos y ligeros. Apenas vi este vestido en el closet de Flor tuve que pedirselo prestado por el día... el color es hermosísimo- todavía no puedo creer que sea de Old Navy. ¡Espero que les hayan gustado las fotos! ¡Abrazos grandísimos a todas!
