I think over the years I've been blogging, it has been pretty obvious that I love a good pair of black booties. And if you are new here (first of all WELCOME!), if you go back a few posts and you will see me wearing ankle boots so often!!
So I'm always in the look for a perfect pair that I know I will continue wearing throughout the years. Then I noticed that one of the main reasons I was messing up my boots was because they were not meant for the constant Miami rain. Yes, Florida is the sunshine state but it will surprise many people how often it rains here.
So the search for the perfect waterproof boot started. I didn't want them to look like rain boots either. And of course, I wanted them to be comfortable.
I headed to Zappos.com since it is one of my favorite sites because of its range of styles, outstanding service, and fast and free shipping. After a quick search, these Dansko boots, Becki, were like the perfect fit. Dansko is known for its high quality, undeniable comfort, and premium craftsmanship. I ordered them one night, and I got them the afternoon of the next day- Zappos fast shipping continues to surprise me!
They are perfectly versatile boots, I know that I can wear them with everything while also being prepared to the unpredictable Miami weather- and if you don't live in South Florida, they definitely work for the Fall/Winter and the Spring showers. They also come in a taupe color that is super cute!
My niece and my nephew live in Chile (You can see all my posts visiting them HERE). We see each other once a year- well, twice if we are lucky. This means that I love to make sure I'm bonding with them so they won't forget me until we see each other again. You would see me playing random games, and running around.
So here are 10 of my favorite AUNT moments from the past trip to Ecuador:
1. My nephew carrying a gift for my baby while saying "Any this is for your baby" I almost melted.
2. My niece learning how to do makeup- she is such a girly girl and loves to do everyone's makeup. She would also ask me to put red lipstick on her (which I wouldn't because my brother would kill me)
3. Borrowing my older brother's collective toys for a bit because my nephew couldn't understand how his uncle had toys but wouldn't play with them.
4. Apparently my niece loves gum so we would steal mints and gum from my mom's purse. She would find it hilarious to be all mischievous.
5. Seeing Gabe run around with both of them until they complained about starting to sweat haha.
6. I laughed a lot because my niece wouldn't understand how there was a baby in my belly. She kept saying to me that I look small. At the time I was 20 weeks pregnant.
7. Seeing my nephew play superheroes with my brother. They were dad-son goals! It makes me super excited to meet my baby boy.
8. Feeding the birds with my niece at this park. We were laughing SO hard. I'm terrified of birds but I was trying to look all strong for her.
9. Collecting seashells at the seashore so they could decorate their sandcastles!
10. My niece screaming while driving away saying "TE AMO DANI". She has a big personality so saying that was priceless. SO SWEET!

Like I've mentioned, I'm in total nesting mode This means I've been spending too much time at home in sweatpants making room for the baby. That leads to the fact I haven't been shooting as many looks as I would want to. Finally making me want to look back to my archives and start publishing ALL the remixes I should have published before.

Como les he contado, ando en modo de preparación total para el bebé. Hemos hecho tanto espacio y todavía seguimos sacando cosas. Ya su mini-cuartico empieza a agarrar forma. Pero eso significa que no he estado tomando tantas fotos como debería. I don't want you guys to think Nany's Klozet will "diet", it is EXPANDING. Nany's Klozet will still be the fashion section. I'm open to ideas, topics, anything you would like to see. I want NANY to be "closer", I want to share the "not-so-perfect" moments, blogging tips, more lifestyle, more travel. What do you guys think?
Los últimos meses no he sido la MEJOR blogger, pero está bien. Recuerden que esa es la belleza de tener un blog. Es tu decisión, tu decides cada cuando actualizar, que tanto compartir. Lo importante es que lo disfrutes.

No quiero que piensen que "Nany's Klozet" desaparece o muero, más bien me estoy EXPANDIENDO. Seguirá siendo la sección de moda. Pero me encantaría oír más de lo que quieren ver. I live in Downtown Miami; I’m very close to popular areas like South Beach, Brickell, Midtown, and Wynwood. However, driving a couple of miles to end up 15 minutes trying to find nearby parking or having to pay $20+ for parking is not worth it. Reason why Uber takes me to the places I want or need to be; it’s my go-to when meeting my girlfriends for brunch, taking pictures, or heading to a blog-related event.
One of my favorite areas is Wynwood. I love everything it has to offer: food, fashion, culture, art, etc. So today I’m going to take you with me to this area and share my favorite boutiques, cafes, and places to take pictures.
If I’m not in a hurry and I’m riding alone (or with just Gabe), I request uberPOOL. This option lets you hit the road with other riders around you that are going your way too. Since you share the cost of the ride, everyone gets the best deal!

Una de mis zonas favoritas es Wynwood ya que tiene mucho que ofrecer: sea comida, arte, moda, o cultura. Hoy las voy a llevar conmigo y mostrarles algunas de mis boutiques favoritas, cafés, y lugares para tomar fotos.
Si no estoy apurada y estoy sola (o solo con Gabe), pido el uberPOOL. Esta opción te deja dividir el costo con otras personas que están cerca de ti y en tu camino. Es la manera más económica de llegar a tu destino.
Like I always say, it's not about having the biggest wardrobe, but about one that is filled with versatile pieces you can wear over and over (and that anyone notices , of course). So today, I'm sharing 5 basic pieces and how you can wear them season after season.
Cinco prendas que puedes usar temporada tras temporada.
No se trata de tener un armario inmenso, se trata de tener un guardarropa versátil lleno de piezas que podamos usar muchas veces (sin que nadie se de cuenta, por su puesto). Por esta razón hoy quiero hablarles de 5 piezas esenciales en tu closet que vas a poder sacarle provecho tanto en todas las temporadas.
1. Black Jeans:
Let's start with black denim jeans. They are extremely versatile. They make us look leaner and taller (and we all want that. I totally do!), and they go with everything. Look for a pair you feel absolutely espectacular in and a pair that fits your style (high waisted, skinny, ripped etc). Remember that if you go for a classic pair you are going to be able to wear it to the office with a blazer too.
During the Summer: pair them with light and flow tops or crop tops. You can also add the perfect summer jacket: a denim jacket and some sandals!
For the Winter: layer these jeans with your warmest coats, scarfs, and boots!

1. Jeans Negros:
Empecemos con los pantalones de mezclilla negros. Son extremadamente versátiles, nos hacen ver más delgadas y altas (¿qué mujer no busca eso?), y van con todo. Busca unos con los que te sientas espectacular; pueden ser a la cintura,a la cadera, skinny, rotos…hay uno para todos los gustos y tipos de cuerpo. Si optas por un par clásico, puedes usarlo hasta en la oficina al combinarlo con un blazer y blusa clásica.
En día cálidos: usa tus jeans negros con camisas frescas y vaporosas, puedes añadir una chaqueta de mezclilla, y sandalias.
En días fríos: estos pantalones combinan con todos tus abrigos, bufandas, y botas.
2. White Blouse:
Yeap, you know wit: a basic that you must have and invest in. A white blouse makes you look elegant and you can adapt it to any style and age.
During the Summer: cuff the sleeves, open a couple of buttons, and pair it with colorful and light bottoms and accessories.
For the Winter: button it up and add a leather jacket- such a classic and timeless look. It also looks amazing under round neck sweater (that way you can see the shirt's collar!). Final touch: your favorite boots!

2. Blusa blanca
Esta es otra pieza que no puede faltar en el closet de la mujer, y que tiende a aparecer en todas las listas de piezas imprescindible. Nos hace ver elegantes y puedes adaptarla a tu estilo y a tu edad.
En día cálidos: arremanga la camisa, abre al menos dos botones, y combínala con pieza coloridas y veraniegas
En días fríos: abróchala hasta el último botón y añade una chaqueta de cuero….un look clásico y espectacular. También se ven muy bien debajo de suéteres con cuello redondo (de manera que sobresalga el cuello). Los toques finales van a hacer tus botas favoritas.
3. Denim Shirt:
This piece is always associated with Spring and Summer- but this versatile fabric works perfectly during the cold days.
During the Summer: go for white shorts or light skirts. For a summer look: add a straw hat and very comfortable sandals.
For the Winter: pair your denim shirt with your favorite jeans and a coat. I love a good denim on denim look + it looks amazing with a camel coat. Final touch: a leopard clutch (or shoes!)

3. Camisa de mezclilla
Esta es una de esas piezas que generalmente se asocian con el verano; pero por su tela versátil puede usarse fácilmente en días más fríos.
En días cálidos: úsala con shorts o faldas frescas. En la foto les muestro un look de mezclilla con mezclilla al usarlo con shorts blancos. Protégete del sol con un sombrero de paja y disfruta de las temperaturas cálidas con unas sandalias muy cómodas.
En días fríos: úsala con tus pantalones favoritos y un abrigo. Este look también es de mezclilla con mezclilla pero apropiado para días más fríos. La mezcla de mezclilla con el color camel es moderna y divertida. Si te arriesgas, agrega una cartera de estampado de leopardo.
4. Military Jacket:
I rarely see military jackets on the "must-have" lists, leather jackets are common but they are too heavy for all seasons. However, an army jacket is one of my favorite type of jackets. I love to wear them to travel and it balances out girly pieces. Don't be afraid to pair it with different prints floral, stripes, or leopard prints- or textures like lace, leather, and denim.
During the Summer: wear it over a light dress, denim shorts, or white denim!
For the Winter: besides some jeans and sweaters, you can also pair it with a sweater dress, fleece tights, warm over the knee boots, and a printed scarf.

4. Chaqueta militar:
Estas chaquetas no tienden a estar en las típicas listas de piezas que debes tener. Pero yo las considero un must-have, sin importar si tu estilo es clásico o muy edgy. A mi me encantan para viajar al combinarlas con jeans y zapatos cómodos. Esta chaqueta le da equilibrio a piezas muy femeninas- no tengas miedo de combinarla con estampados florales, de rayas, o de leopardo. También puedes jugar con texturas y usarla con encaje, cuero y mezclilla.
En días cálidos: puedes usarla sobre un vestido fresco de rayas o con un pantalón corto de mezclilla. También se ve muy bien con jeans blancos.
En días fríos: aparte de usarla con tus jeans y camisas abrigadas, también puedes usarla con un vestido estilo suéter (sweater dress), unas medias panty, unas botas calientitas, y una bufanda con estampado llamativo.
5. Floral Skirt:
Ok, yes floral skirts are mostly seen during Spring/Summer; but I recommend getting one in darker tones for a seamless transition into winter. Go for blue, burgundy, army green, or mustard...that way you can wear it all year.
During the Summer: show of your shoulders!! and play with the tones of the skirt in your accessories!
For the Winter: add as many layers as possible. Your best bet is fleece tights under the skirt, a shirt under a warm sweater . Dare to wear a graphic sweater...they are always fun. And if you still need it, add a long coat.

5. Falda de flores:
Las faldas de flores las vemos en todos lados en la temporada de Primavera-Verano; pero con varias capas puedes usarla todo el año. Mi recomendación es que busques una falda de flores en tonos fríos u oscuros- de esa manera la transición al invierno será más fácil. Búscala en tonos azules, borgoña, verde militar, mostaza, etc.
En días cálidos: destapa tus hombros con un top de un hombro o con los hombros al descubierto. Juega con los tonos de las flores en tus accesorios y zapatos.
En los días fríos: agrega unas medias pantys gruesas y unos botines. Agrega cuantas capas sea necesario; puede ser una camisa debajo de tu suéter (arriésgate a usar un suéter con dibujos o letras). Y si todavía lo necesitas, agrega un abrigo largo.

Our official first top in northern California was "Los Gatos" because a dear friend and blogger lives there (Flor from Flor de Maria Fashion). It was a pretty small town. I love how California has such pretty small towns and cities. As you can see, I was still in "airport attire" but I love this comfy outfit for every day too.

Una de nuestras primeras paradas en California fue "Los Gatos" para visitar a mi queridisima amiga Flor de Flor de Maria Fashion. Es un pueblo pequeño a 40 min de San Francisco, que me pareció muy pero muy lindo. Aquí todavía estaba vestida de aeropuerto, por eso el toque cómodo.

The weather in Miami has been pure perfection (well, it's been raining more than the usual...but temperature-wise!)...you only need a light jacket. That kind of reminds me of Miss Congeniality and the answer about the perfect "date"...totally random!
I wore this the past weekend to go have lunch with my parents- who were visiting from Venezuela- and then we dropped off Gabe at the airport because he was heading to Florence for an amazing opportunity at the event Firenze Forever...you have to check his IG @gabe_media for all the amazing pictures he took there!.
This is my last look with long hair!! I don't miss it one bit! Happy Weekend!!
El clima en Miami ha estado demasiado perfecto (bueno perfecto es una exageración porque ha estado lloviendo más de lo que debería para ser invierno....pero me refiero en cuanto a la temperatura). Esta así que solo se necesita una chaqueta ligera...eso me recuerda a la película Miss Simpatía cuando le preguntan si "cita" perfecta que en ingles es lo mismo que "día" perfecto...muy random esto jaja.
Este look lo utilicé el fin de semana pasado para ir a comer con mis papas- quiene estaban de visita - y luego nos fuimos a dejar a Gabo al aeropuerto porque se fue a Florencia unos días a un evento increíble llamado Firenze Forever. Pasen a ver sus fotos por allá en @gabe_media.
Este es mi último look con el cabello largo- tengo que admitir que no lo extraño. ¡Feliz fin de semana!

Hey everyone! Here's another look from the "Back to School" video I shared last month. I know I'm kind of repeating the outfits but it was like planning the look ahead of time (I have been wearing them throughout the weeks). If you never know what to wear, and you waste a lot of time each day choosing your look: take one day of the week (like Sundays) and plan all the outfts of the week. It really works and you feel like you have at least an extra hour each day! This outfit is perfect to go to classes or just to hang out during the weekends! Hope you liked it. XOXO

¡Hola a todos! Hoy les traigo un look que fue parte del video de "Regreso a clases" que hice un mes. Lo mejor de hacer ese video fue planificar outfits con anticipación...poco a poco me he puesto cada uno de esos looks. Si eres como yo de indecisa en que usar cada día, es bueno aprovechar los domingos para organizar los outfits de la semana completa. Hoy les traigo este outfit que combina diferentes texturas y tendencias: como el encaje, los taches, y lo militar. Me parece un look muy cómodo para el fin de semana o para ir a la universidad. ¡¡Espero que les haya gustado!
