I've had this look ready to post for a couple of weeks now...I wasn't 100% sure about it. The lighting wasn't my favorite. But hey, this blog started as a way to share what I was wearing- and this is what I wore that day, not pretending, no changing into flats after the shoot, not putting makeup on just for a blog post.

This boater (or a similar one) has been on my shopping wish-list for a while. I found this one on Forever 21...I wish it was a little more stiff and less fedora. So I guess I'll continue my search for the perfect Summer 2016 hat.

Besides the hat, the main piece in this look is definitely the strappy bralette. I really like the edge it adds to a simple white tee...it completely transformed the look.

Llevo con este look en mis borradores desde hace un par de semanas. No estaba 100% segura si publicarlo porque no me parece muy especial...y la luz en las fotos no fue de mis favoritas (se estaba haciendo tarde). Pero me dije a mi misma, el punto de este blog era compartir mis looks. Yo nunca he querido convertirme en ese tipo de bloggers donde todo lo del blog es mentira...donde una maquiladora profesional la maquilla, donde se hacen 5 looks al día, y donde de verdad nunca usaría eso. Esta soy yo...pero que no sea de mis favoritos, es otra cosa. 

Llevo buscando este estilo de sombrero desde hace meses...este lo encontré en Forever 21 pero tampoco es EXACTAMENTE lo que quería. Lo quería más de pajita, menos fedora- no se si me explico.  Pero nada seguiré en mi búsqueda del sombrero perfecto para este verano 2016.

Aparte del sombrero, el protagonista de este look es definitivamente el bralette de tiritas. Sin esta pieza, el look sería bastante sencillo.

¿Qué opinan? ¿lo usarían?

I'm a comfort-type of person....we both are. As a style blogger, I absolutely love dressing up and wearing heels... but there are many days I would just love to stay in yoga pants all day every day.

 Reason why I'm so excited to see the 'Athleisure" trend getting stronger and stronger for 2016. In case you are wondering what is Athleisure? It is basically wearing athletic wear outside of the gym...or from the gym, to running errands, and even brunch.

And that's exactly what I'm loving about this trend, you can adapt it to your style and lifestyle. You can be as creative as you want while staying oh-so-comfortable!

For example , this Gap Factory grey sweatshirt can be worn post work-out or dress it up for a casual lunch date. I first wore it for a long walk with Chiki the pup. It was chilly out that day  so I just threw it over my sports bra and leggings..and we headed to a nearby favorite juice place.

Then, Gabe and I got hungry so we had a casual lunch date in our Athleisure outfits. This time, I paired it with black jeans, a black moto jacket, and cool elements to give it that dressy feel. He was also wearing a Gap Factory hoodie...and looking so freaking handsome <3

Gap Factory has always been a favorite of me...especially for basics and athletic wear. The quality is amazing, and the affordable prices make you want to grab an extra thing...or two!

Como bloguera de moda, por supuesto que me encanta arreglarme y entaconarme....pero hay días que solo me provoca estar en mis pantalones de ejercicio hasta el día siguiente.

Por esta razón me encanta que la tendencia de "Athleisure" siga siendo tan importante para el 2016.  En dado caso que se estén preguntando: ¿qué es athleisure? Viene de la combinación de palabras ahletic con leisure y es básicamente usar ropa de hacer ejercicio para actividades del día a día.

Esta tendencia es genial porque puedes adaptarla a tu estilo y a tu estilo de vida. Puedes ser creativo..y no solo te vas a ver super a la moda, si no también vas a estar extremadamente cómodo.

Por ejemplo, esta sudadero de Gap Factory se puede usar después de hacer ejercicio (como es de esperarse) o atreverte a usarla de una manera más arreglada. Primero la utilicé para caminar a Chiki, mi perrito, y nos fuimos a buscar un jugo verde en una lugar de jugos que me encanta.

Luego a Gabo y a mi nos dio hambre y me convenció a que nos fuéramos a una "cita" casual para almorzar. Y quise usar la sudadera con jeans negros, una chaqueta de cuero sintético, y botines. Gaby también estaba usando una sudadero de Gap Factory...y diganme si no se ve super guapo <3

Gap Factory ha sido de mis favoritos de toda la vida para piezas básicas y ropa de hacer ejercicio. La calidad es increíble y los precios asequibles hacen que agarres una que otra cosita extra.

Looking back at my latest posts...all I want to wear is basic and timeless pieces.

When it comes to coats (piece that I don't get to wear that often because of Miami's never ending summer). But I really recommend investing in a camel coat...they really are timeless and work with every style.

The last time I wore it was last year, with a big midi skirt and a stripped shirt...very Parisian.  However, this time I went for a casual and chill all-black look with sneakers. See it is so versatile!

I really hope the 2016 Miami Winter lasts more than the usual so I can wear it again and be able to remix it before 2017! Now that I'm visiting Chicago for a couple of days, I can see that this coat specifically would only work in Miami (it is very light!)...in real winters, I would get pneumonia!

Aparentemente últimamente lo que quiero son utilizar piezas básicas.

Cuando se trata de abrigos, uno color "camel" es imprescindible en el armario d toda mujer. Se ven extramadamente elegantes...o casuales, dependiendo de como los utilices. 

Este abrigo lo tengo en mi "klozet" desde el año pasado, pero nada que Miami se ponía lo suficiente fría como para usarlo otra vez.  Si no se acuerdan, les recomiendo pasar a ver como lo utilicé anteriormente...se veía mucho  más elegante con la falda y camisa a rayas...muy parisino- ¡ven lo que le digo de la versatilidad!

Esta vez lo combiné con unos jeans con textura estilo cuero y una camisa básica negra con cuello tortuga. Ese día tuve que hacer un par de diligencias para prepararme para el viaje a Chicago. Aquí SI que hace frío y este abrigo no me haría ni cosquillas jajaja.

I always look for inspiration online...but the other day something kind of different happened. I was inspired by myself...sounds pretty weird, right?. Before the blog, I had outfits that I would wear several times (one time with family...other with friends). It was so easy...but fter the blog, everything changed. I stopped rewearing the EXACT outfit not only because I wanted to create new content but as a challenge. The other day, iI was looking at pictures from last fall and I saw a similar outfit...so I switched some pieces to make it feel new and fresh. I had camel oxfords and a camel handbag- and a black leather jacket instead. And this also proves my point that you don't have to copy and exact outfit from head to toe...I want you to feel inspired and play with what you already have and what works with your style and body type.

I'm also super excited because I'm going to be collaborating for a couple of months with Coach...and I'm in love with the pieces (starting with this jacket...that YES, it is an investment but I know it will last for decades and decades). I can't wait to show you more!

Siendoles muy honesta, estaba revisando fotos outfits del otoño pasado y vi un look que me inspiró a hacer este. El otro también tenía toques de color camel con negro...pero en los zapatos y cartera- y llevaba una chaqueta de este estilo pero negra. Esto es lo que les digo siempre, no tienen que copiar mi look exacto...me encanta cuando lo adaptan a lo que ya tienen, a sus estilos propios, y/o tipos de cuerpo. También ando muy emocionada porque estoy colaborando con Coach para varios Instagrams al mes... y estoy enamorada de todas las piezas (empezando por esta chaqueta que es definitivamente una inversión pero es de esas que te van a durar toda la vida). ¡Ya quiero que vean más de esta colaboración!

I have to admit that I changed several times a day while in New York; I rarely post winter outfits and I had to take advantage of every second…and I loved getting bundled up! This look is full of versatile "must-haves". I got these jeans at H&M almost 3 years ago, I can't believe I wasn't sure  about buying them. I have worn them SO MUCH over the years- note to self: double check because I think I should update its respective remix. I also love this moto jacket, the price point is a little higher. However, it is a classic piece; and investing in good quality items that we are going to war a lot is definitely okay. I took this blanket scarf to wear with one look; it was so warm and cozy that I ended up wearing it over and over. Being in New York during the coldest days they've had in 20 years made me realize how lucky we are in Miami. That's it for today… I'm out to continue working on my thesis! XOXO

Admito que estando en Nueva York me cambié varias veces al día para aprovechar y tomar fotos de looks invernales.  Viviendo en una ciudad donde es verano el 90% del año,  me gusta poder tomar fotos bastante abrigada. Este look está lleno de piezas versátiles que han visto millones de veces en el blog. Estos jeans los compré en H&M hace casi 3 años y les he sacado muchísimo provecho (tengo que revisar cuando fue la última vez que hice un remix con ellos, para actualizarlos).  Esta chaqueta de "cuero" es una de esas piezas que no puede faltar en tu guardarropa. La bufanda me la lleve a Nueva York para usar en un solo outfit y la terminé usando con casi todos; era la más calientita que tenía. De verdad que admiro a las chicas con inviernos brutales que se toman fotos en falditas como si fuese verano…por mucho que uno se queja de la humedad de Miami, somos muy afortunados de tener este clima todo el año. ¡Les mando un abrazo grandote que me toca seguir trabajando en mi tesis!
