The importance of adding a serum to you skincare routine

When it comes to skincare, I like to keep things simple. I love multi-benefit products that keep my routine quick but also my face hydrated, smooth, and clear.

I'm very strict about removing my makeup every single night (no matter who late I arrive home) and about using a moisturizer- but it felt like a step was missing. So I started thinking to a moment when I was getting so many compliments about my skin. And that's when it clicked, I was using the Clarins Double Serum- it was time to add it to my routine again. Yo soy muy estricta cuando se trata de quitarme el maquillaje todas las noches (no importa lo tarde que llegue a la casa) y de usar un hidratante. Pero tenía unos meses sintiendo que algo me faltaba. WHAT IS A SERUM?
A serum is a skincare product made up of smaller molecules that deeply penetrate into the skin to deliver a high concentration of active ingredients.

You should apply a serum after cleansing and before moisturizing.

The concentration of active ingredientes can be as high as 70% (while cleanser and moisturizers are only 5-10%).  It targets wrinkles , revives radiance, tightens  pores, hydrates, and smooths.

Básicamente es un producto para el cuidado de la piel hecho de moléculas más pequeñas que penetran la piel profundamente y están concentrados de ingredientes potentes excelentes para tu piel.

Debes usarlo después de lavar tu cara pero antes de hidratarla.

Clarins Double Serum Next Generation

Let's start with the packaging, It comes with a double chamber for customization according to your skin needs. What does this mean?  You can get a "power shot" if you skin is dry or you are living in a cold climate; or a "tiny drop" if your skin is more on the oily side or live in a humid/warm climate.

The consistency feels and looks a little bit oil but it absorbs very quickly and I didn't feel it heavy or greasy on my face.

According to its site, the formula has 20+1 potent plant extracts, including turmeric- which is known for its anti-aging properties. As someone who is approaching 30, I'm very interested in preventing signs of aging.

I know many of you worrying about the fragrance of products, this one does have a little fragrance but it's not overpowering. I think it smells fresh and light.

 I like applying it twice a day; before doing my makeup and before going to sleep. You only need 2 pumps, so this product lasts!

I instantly loved who it felt against my skin. After a week, I started getting compliments from my husband on good my skin look and felt.

Empecemos con el empaque, viene con dos opciones para que puedas personalizar cuanto producto sale de acuerdo a tu piel.  Por ejemplo, la opción de "power shot" es perfecta para piel seca o durante el invierno; y la opción de "tiny drop" funciona mejor en pieles grasas o si vives climas cálidos y húmedos.

Cuando lo aplicas en tu mano, vas a verlo como grasoso pero se absorbe rápidamente en tu piel. Yo en ningún momento sentí la cara pesada o pegajosa.

Según la página web, la fórmula tiene 20+1 ingredientes potentes- como cúrcuma. Yo de adolescente me ponía cúrcuma en los granitos, y se me cicatrizaban muy rápido. Pero la cúrcuma también es reconocida por prevenir las arrugas- y ya que cada vez estoy más cerca de los 30, yo feliz de prevenir esas arruguitas.

La fragancia del producto es muy leve, se siente refrescante.  Me gusta aplicar este serum en la mañana antes de maquillarme y antes de dormir en la noche. Solo necesitas dos gotitas, el producto realmente rinde mucho.

Después de una semana, ya sentí una diferencia, mi esposo empezó a decirme que me veía radiante- así que ninguna queja.
