It feels like yesterday when I was saying Hello to 2013 in Aruba with my parents!! Like I have mentioned before 2013 was a year full of emotions...mixed feelings, happiness, love, and a little bit of obstacles. Many things didn't go as I planned, but I learned that you always need a plan B, C,D...and even Z. There isn't just one way to get to your goals.

My year started with my last semester of Fashion Merchandising and a trip to New York Fashion Week (trip I won thanks to your support and votes). It was amazing getting to see big shows . While in New York, I was interviewed at Seventeen Magazine for a internship..and in less than a month, I was there again ready to live in NYC during the Spring.  I had the opportunity to see Central Park bloom..and well, I got to see how harsh the fashion industry can be. I learned that I work really hard (without complaining) and I learned as much as I could in the fashion department.


Then I went back to Miami to get ready for graduation...I realized that the older I get, the more sentimental I am. I think it was, and still is a fear of the unknown...of closing a chapter in my life and starting a new one. After that we headed to Spain to celebrate graduation...such a gorgeous country an experience.

As soon as I came back it was Swim Week in Miami; where I felt to lucky. I got to attend to most of the shows and I worked with several brand. Also, I feel very close to all my Miami bloggers...they are so sweet and awesome. Then we headed to Culebra, Puerto Rico with some of my best friends...we had so much fun that I'm already planning to go back.


Then I came back to Venezuela for two months...where I feel like I grew and I understood what the next step was. While in Caracas, I collaborated with some Venezuelan brands. I'm so happy I got to do that; after living in Miami for seven years, the feeling you get when supporting the people where you are from is great. And I finally met many venezuelan bloggers, who I followed but now I feel like there are friends I would like to see in every trip to Venezuela.

And again, back in Miami with a new goal in mind: starting a masters degree in Design and Media Management. The first semester ended a couple of weeks ago, and I proud of my grades and all the effort I put into it.



In a blink of an eye my birthday was here, this year was 20s inspired...and then November was here, a month full of big opportunities I can't believe. But I think one of the best things that happened this year was our engagement. Gabo and I have been together for 7 years and I'm very happy that this is just the beginning.

Now in December I just met my little niece, who's so gorgeous!! I also saw one of my best friends get married and I'm spending my Holidays with Gabo and my family on a cruise.

I feel so blessed and I'm extremely grateful for everything that 2013 brought....I can't wait for 2014!

Y parece que fue ayer que estabamos celebrando la llegada del 2013. Como les mencioné en algún momento, el 2013 fue un año lleno de emociones...de sentimientos encontrados, de alegrías, de oportunidades, y de obstáculos. Hay muchas cosas que no salieron como esperaba, pero aprendí que tener un plan B, C, D...Z es lo más importante.

Mi año empezó con mi último semestre de la carrera de Fashion Merchandising y un viaje a Nueva York para la Semana de la Moda (viaje que me gané gracias a sus votos y apoyo). Fue increíble ver desfiles de grandes diseñadores y solo estar ahí en Lincoln Center era WOW. Estando en NYFW, fue mi entrevista para una una pasantía con la revista Seventeen en NYC- y en menos de un mes, volví a agarrar mis dos maletas y vivir un par de meses en la gran manzana. Tuve la oportunidad de ver florecer Central Park, y experimentar lo dura que es la industria de la moda. Aprendí lo trabajadora que soy; a trabajar 12 horas seguidas sin quejarme y a absorber todo el conocimiento que podía.

Luego regresé a Miami a prepararme para la graduación; en la que aparentemente, entre más vieja, más sentimental. Creo que era, y es, un miedo a lo desconocido...un miedo a cerrar una etapa y empezar otra. De ahí me fui con mis papás y Gabo a España a celebrar la graduación, donde pasamos una semana conociendo. Nunca había estado en España y me pareció una experiencia inolvidable.

Ahí mismo llegó la Semana de la Moda Swim en Miami; donde me siento muy afortunada porque no solo pude asistir a muchísimos shows, sino también estuve trabajando con diferentes marcas. Aparte, le he agarrado un cariño impresionante a todas las bloggeras de Miami...más que compañeras, las considero mis amigas. Para empezar el verano, viajé a Puerto Rico con Gabo y un grupo de amigos, fue todo un espectáculo...¡ya quiero regresar!



Luego tuve que regresar a Venezuela por un par de meses, en donde siento que crecí y me encaminé un poquito más. Estando en Caracas, pude colaborar con marcas nacionales...y me siento muy feliz de haberlo hecho. Después de vivir tanto tiempo afuera,  el sentimiento al apoyar a marcas de tu país es indescriptible. También conocí a muchas las bloggeras venezolanas, que seguía de lejitos y ahora las considero amigas a quienes quiero ver cada vez que venga.

 Y una vez más regreso a Miami, con otro plan en mente: continuar mis estudios al hacer una maestría en "Gerencia de Diseño".  El primer semestre terminó hace unas semanas, y estoy muy feliz con mis notas y todo el esfuerzo que le puse.

En un abrir y cerrar llegó mi cumpleaños, este año fue de los años 20s.. y la pasé espectacular.  Luego de la nada, llego Noviembre..lleno de oportunidades que todavía no me puedo creer. Pero lo mejor de todo y creo que es uno de los picos del año: nos comprometimos. Gabo y yo llevamos 7 años juntos, y ando demasiado feliz de solo pensar que este es solo el comienzo de nuestra vida juntos.

Ahora en Diciembre conocí a mi sobrina, una hermosura....vi a una de mis mejores amigas casarse..y pasé las primeras Navidades con Gabo mientras estabamos en un crucero con toda mi familia.

¡Me siento extremadamente agradecida y afortunada, y no puedo esperar a ver que trae el 2014!

Hoy les dejo un post rapidito porque el internet en el barco es muy limitado. Esto lo utilicé en otro intercambio de regalos o "secret santa" Esta vez escogí un vestido super femenino; lo combiné con unos tacones cerrados color vino, unos zarcillos/aretes bastante llamativos, y una carterita de fiesta. Gabo wore this look before going to Venezuela last week. He originally wanted to wear 3 pieces of blue denim; but I feel like the only way to make it work is if the three pieces are completely different blues. ¡Hola a todas! Les estamos escribiendo desde el crucero (nos pueden seguir en Instagram @nanysklozet y @Gabrielsanchezpr, por si no pueden esperar a que suba todo al blog). Este look lo utilizó Gaby antes de viajar a Venezuela. El originalmente quería utilizar 3 piezas de blue jean; pero siento que los 3 colores tienen que ser totalmente diferentes, sino se ve muy matchy matchy. Yo le sugerí que cambiase los blue jeans por unos jeans de algún color, como estos rojos. Sigue utilizando la misma textura en todo el look, pero se ve moderno, cómodo, y arregladito. ¡Espero que estén disfrutando estas Navidad con sus seres queridos! Mil abrazos!!

Hey everyone! I hope your Holidays are amazing Right now I'm on a cruise in the Caribbean with my family but I wanted to update the blog and share with yout his outfit. I've been looking for the perfect polkadotted blue jean...and I finally found them at Abercrombie- I think they are my new favorite pair. I have forgotten how amazing Abercrombie jeans are; the quality of the jeans is AMAZING for a great price (for example, right now they are having a great promo where all denim is $39 at Abercrombie.com!). I was also very impressed by the variety of denim; there's a great range of rises (from low, super high, and everything in between), and in every single wash or print (they have metallic foil, tonal prints, and more). And if that isn't enought, the back pocket design makes your butt look like you do tons of squats every day. This time I paired them with a dark blue shirt that looks like denim and camel accessories. Keep enjoying your Holidays! XOXO

¡Hola a todas! ¡Espero que hayan pasado una feliz Navidad! Ando de crucero con mi familia pero me escapé un segundito para actualizarles el blog y compartir con ustedes este outfit. Llevaba muchísimo tiempo buscando unos jeans con puntitos, y finalmente los encontré...¡¡en Abercrombie!! Se me había olvidado lo increíble que son; de verdad que son jeans de excelente calidad a un precio económico (por ejemplo, ahorita todo el denim está a $39 en Abercrombie.com). También me costó mucho decidir, porque tienen una gran variedad de colores, estilos, y estampados (desde el super skinny hasta unos modelos, metálicos, florales, y más). Otro detalle que me encantó es que los bolsillos traseros están diseñados para que parezca que pasas muchas horas en el gimnasio. En esta ocasión combiné los pantalones con una camisa de denim (de mi novio), y tonos camel. Espero que estén disfrutando sus navidades, yo la estoy pasando increíble con mi familia...pronto les mostraré muchas fotos. Mil abrazos!!

Hey everyone! I hope you had an amazing Christmas eve!! Since it's Wednesday..her's another remix: this time with some leather joggers. You know I'm a fan of leather pants, I think they dress up any look and you can wear them with absolutely anything. This style is a little more daring, but it's SO comfortable. I've worn it rolled up by the knee and at ankle-height (I think it's supposed to fit at the ankle but I'm too short haha).

¡Hola a todos! ¡¡Espero que hayan pasado una bonita Nochebuena!!!Como es miércoles, les traigo un remix con estos pantalones de cuero. Me encanta que el estilo es como de hacer ejercicio pero el cuero los lleva a otro nivel. Como pueden ver los he utilizado arremangados en la rodilla o doblados para que queden justo al nivel del tobillo (donde se supone que lleguen, pero como yo soy tan bajita!!).

Today I wanted to do a quick Christmas post to express how thankful I am for all your support, sweet words, and love...I think I say it frequently, but frequently isn't enough! I feel like today shouldn't be about gifts, it should be about giving and expressing our loves to family and friends. Let's be thankful for all the amazing things this year brought, and let's forget about the little things.

Today I'm very happy because I'm spending my Christmas with Gabo for the first time...and more than 40 family members! I'm also extremely happy because this is my first Christmas as an aunt...I just met my little niece and she is just adorable. I guess it's true, a nice/nephew is the best present a sibling can give you.

I wore this yesterday, the 23rd, to spend the night with my family...we ate typical Venezuelan Christmas food and we exchanged gifts.

Hoy quería hacer un post de Navidad especialmente para expresarles lo agradecida que me siento por todo su apoyo... se que se los digo regularmente pero ¡se merecen que se los diga siempre! También siento que hoy no es un día de pensar en regalos...es un día de decirle a nuestros familiares y amigos cuanto los queremos, un día para dar gracias por todas las cosas lindas que nos han pasado en este año, y para olvidar todo lo malo.

Hoy me siento super contenta porque es la primera Navidad que voy a pasar con Gabo y junto a mi familia...todos nos vamos de crucero, somos más de 40. También es mi primera Navidad siento tía...tal vez vieron a mi sobrinita Amalia por ahí, es una belleza.

Esto lo utilicé ayer, 23, para comer en familia antes de irnos de viaje. Comimos unas hallacas riquísimas que hizo mi familia e intercambios regalos como todos los años.

Espero que disfruten muchísimo con su familia...les deseo una FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!

A couple of days ago, ICONICA (one of my favorite Venezuelan brands) sent me a package full of surprises...including these awesome plaid shorts. The fun part about the plaid print is that it can go classic, edgy, or just casual. I didn't plan these pictures at all; I had an important meeting and I just grabbed the first thing I saw (I couldn't wait to wear the shorts so they were the must piece in the look). After the meeting, I met my mom at the club and we just decided to take the pics there in the middle of the golf course. I'm so excited,  today I'm going to see Gaby after almost a month..and we are ready for some vacation time together! XOXO

Hace unos días me llegó un paquetito de ICONICA; una marca venezolana que me encanta y siempre me consienten cuando estoy en Venezuela. En el paquete estaban estos shorts de cuadritos; me parece que este estampado específicamente se puede ver bastante elegante, casual, o hasta rockero..depende de como se utilice. Este outfit no fue planificado para nada; me vestí en dos segundos para una reunión y esto fue lo primero que vi que me quería poner. Luego aproveché que fui a buscar a mi mamá al club y ahí me tomó las fotos rápido en pleno campo de golf. ¡¡Estoy muy pero muy emocionada, en un ratito llega Gaby y ya estamos listos para irnos de vacaciones!! ¡¡Un abrazo grandísimo!!

He estado usando estos pantalones en Venezuela muchísimo; primero porque son cómodos y segundo porque está haciendo un poco de frío. Me traje muchos shorts y faldas en la maleta y termina dándome friito. Esta vez me fui por un look un poco minimalista y lleno de básicos; combiné el pantalón con una camisa blanca básica, unos zapatos de leopardo, y uno de mis sombreros favoritos. También creo que se han dado cuenta que no dejo de usar esta cartera; pero de verdad que me fascina el color, el tamaño, su comodidad, etc <3. Esto lo utilicé para una reunión importantísima, creo que es uno de los proyectos más lindos que vienen en el 2014. Mil gracias a mi mami por tenerme tanta paciencia y tomarme fotitos cuando Gabo no está. ¡Ya casi es Navidad...que emoción!! El 24 les traigo un post 100% navideño pero en dado caso que no se metan a internet... FELIZ NAVIDAD!!! Disfruten mucho con su familia y seres queridos ¡¡Un abrazo inmenso!!
