Tengo que admitir que de vez en cuando busco una pieza que he usado bastante pero que todavía no está lista para un remix.. y en este caso son los jeans verdes. Para crear una combinación totalmente diferente, escogí una blusa azul clarito, una cartera de leopardo y zapatos negros. Sobre los zapatos, los compré en Forever 21 esta semana para hacer un DIY- pero antes quería usarlos negros como son originalmente. Esto fue lo que utilicé el viernes para ir un momentito a la casa de mi novio a conocer a la nueva perrita de la familia (si me siguen en Instagram, ya la vieron- @nanysklozet). Después fui a buscar a mis papás al aeropuerto que vinieron a visitarme, y finalmente fuimos a un restaurante francés por mi casa. Espero que les haya gustado el look del día y que estén pasando un bonito fin de semana!

After months of looking, I found the perfect pleated leather skirt for a reasonable price ($65 at Storets).. and as you can see, I haven't stopped wearing it (from floral prints, to the classic black and white.... with colorful wedges or chunky booties). Había estado buscando esta falda de pliegues de "cuero" por meses, y fue hace poco que la encontré a un precio razonable; y como pueden ver, no he dejado de usarla. La he usado con estampados de flores, camiseta roquera, blusas femeninas y más. Cuéntame qué look es tu favorito y como la usarías tu!

Hey everyone! The weekend is getting closer... and I've had the longest week ever, I spent the whole day at the hospital yesterday. I wasn't feeling well, but they did a couple of tests and everything looks good so far. This is what I wore on Saturday to a pre-Mother's Day dinner with my boyfriend's family- we went to an Argentinian restaurant in Brickell called Graziannos ( I don't eat a lot of red meat, I ordered the best squash soup - you have to try it if you ever go there). During the day I wore flats, but I wanted to dress up a little for the restaurant and I added flats. After that I headed to a get-together at a friend's house;  it was "game night" ( I swear Mexican Train Domino is the best game ever) Hope you liked today's look! XOXO

Remember I told you spent my Thrusday with the well-known stylist Danny Santiago? Well, this is what he picked for me to wear to Vault Magazine's launch party at the Versace Mansion in Miami Beach (I'm so upset they wouldn't let us go in with professional cameras, so we had to improvise with the phone... that's the reason why the pictures are so crappy today). As you can see, it was a SUPER short white vintage dress with long, flawy, and see-through sleeves. I can't believe it fit so perfectly, I felt like it was made for me (it was definitely too short for any model!). I wore only one accessory, big circle earrings (probably vintage too). The party was amazing, and I'm so grateful that I was able to be there- the magazine is about fashion, music, art, photography... but with a funky twist, and you could feel that in the venue too. The night started with a reception and drinks, they we headed to the backyard for a boxing match (which came floating from the sky). However, there was a twist... one of them was a professional boxer and the other.. a model (yes, poor baby!) The food was amazing too, specially the dessert - it was crazy/funny/fun to see a wheelbarrow full of cookies and chocolate-dipped-popcorn... it was delicious! I hope you like the pics, please ignore the quality! Oh... and doesn't Gabo look so handsome in his tie and everything lol? XOXO

¿Se acuerdan que les conté que passé el jueves con el estilista Danny Santiago? Esto fue lo que el escogió para mi para el lanzamiento de la revista VAULT en la Mansion de Versace, me da mucha rabia que no se puede apreciar bien en las fotos (no dejaban entrar con cámaras, solo con celulares; así que tuvimos que improvisar). Es un vestido blanco vintage de los años sesentas: ceñido al cuerpo pero con unas mangas anchas y de una tela transparentosa. Como pueden ver, era extremadamente CORTO (menos mal que soy petite porque a cualquier modelo le quedaría de camisita). Como accesorio, solo utilicé unos zarcillos/aretes inmensos (si se fijan bien en la foto se ven, son como circulitos). La fiesta estuvo bastante chevere y diferente, como la revista (que es de arte, moda, y música.. pero con punto de vista como funky)- apare que había uno que otro artista de cine y grandes personalidades del mundo de la moda. La noche empezó con un ring de pelea que bajo del cielo, y luego hubo una pelea de boxeo (pero lo diferente es que era entre un boxeador profesional y... un modelo- si, pobre modelo...quedó todo adolorido). La comida estuvo genial también, especialmente los postres; nunca había visto nada así, especialmente una carretilla llena de galletas y popcorn (cotufas, palomitas de maíz, crispetas, o como le digas) con chocolate.  Espero que disfruten las fotos abajo! (Díganme si Gabo no estaba buenmozo con su corbata y todo jaja). Un abrazo inmenso!

Hey! How are you?  This is what I wore on Thursday- that day I woke up a little late since I was tired from the Furor Fashion Show... and the weather wasn't helping, it was raining like crazy (which means hair frizz to the max). My day started at Danny Santiago's studio picking up clothes for a magazine launch I attended on Friday- Danny is a stylist and costume designer better known for styling the Sex and The City films. His studio is to die for, filled with vintage finds and designer pieces- I tried on a couple of fabulous dresses but ended up with a 60s white mini dress with long flowy sleeves (come back tomorrow to see it at the event). After that I headed to an event called Braids and Bikinis at the Orchid Boutique, which was hosted by Kelly Saks, another Miami blogger. I hope you liked the look! XOXO

Hola! ¿Cómo están? Esto fue lo que utilicé el jueves pasado- ese día me desperté un poco tarde ya que estaba cansada del desfile de Furor y aparte el día estaba feísimo, lo que provocaba era quedarse durmiendo. Pero tenía varias cositas que hacer, así que opté por esta falda de pliegues que han visto mucho, y una blusa roja con unos detalles de encaje- para estar cómoda pero todavía en tacones, usé mis Litas. Primero tuve que pasar por el estudio de Danny Santiago- estilista y diseñador muy reconocido, especialmente porque fue el estilista de las películas de Sexo en Nueva York. Ahí estuve con Annie de The Fashion Poet ya que el no estaba vistiendo para un evento al que fui el viernes, ya les mostraré fotitos de eso mañana. No tienen idea la colección de ropa vintage que tiene, para morirse- después de probarme varios vestidos, terminé con uno blanco cortitito con unas mangas anchas y de tela más transparente. Después de eso fui un pequeño evento en Miami Beach con Orchid Boutique, tienda de trajes de baños, y Kelly Saks, otra bloguera de Miami. Espero que les haya gustado el look. FELIZ DIA!

I have to admit this challenge was super hard- I have a couple of sequin pieces but I wasn't feeling like wearing them, I don't know why. I have this vintage silver sequin dress I wore to the Latin Billboards 2011 and a DKNY bronze sequined top  I found at a thrift store- originally I wanted to wear a new skirt I have but everything I tried on felt out-of-place.. it was one of those days. So I decided to go with a simple touch of sequins...just a bag + the floral print of the pants make it total "spring sequins". These colorful floral pants are the perfect option if you weren't able to get the H&M ones- like me! I paired them with neutral colors and simple silhouettes . This top-knot is going to be my go-to-hairstyle this summer, the humidity is already crazy and my hair becomes uncontrollable with frizz. I wore this on Mother's Day- even though, I wasn't able to spend it with my mom... I went out to 'celebrate" with Gabo and have dinner. Have an amazing week! Ya que hoy es el Día de la Madre, quiero dedicarle este artículo a mi mamá... mi ejemplo a seguir. He intentado escribir este párrafo varias veces, y no encuentro palabras para describirla sin que se me haga un nudo en la garganta por no poder estar con ella hoy. Ella no solo es hermosa; es fuerte, luchadora, paciente, inteligente, jovial.. y un poco loca! (siempre se lo digo, y me dice riéndose "respeta!!"). Mi mamá me ha enseñado a luchar por lo que quiero,  a perdonar desde el corazón, a siempre dar segundas oportunidades, y lo más importante... a amar incondicionalmente. Te ADORO y no sabes el orgullo que me da decir que eres mi mama!

Hey! How are you? I hope you are having an amazing weekend! I actually wore this last Sunday, I don't know why it took me so long to post it! Personally, I love maxi skirts; they are more comfortable than pants or short skirts, they are light enough to wear on this heat, and they go with everything. This time I paired a mustard skirt with a floral sleeveless blouse- which I have worn a couple of times already. Finally, I added lots of gold/brown accessories to keep the look casual. I wore this to watch "The Hunger Games"- I know I know, everyone is watching Avengers and I'm watching a movie that has been on theaters for two months now. I really wanted to read the book before watching the movie- I read it in just two days but still.... Right now I'm waiting to get the second one on the mail, I ordered in Spanish since I couldn't find it anywhere (I don't know why I prefer reading those types of books in my first language...I guess it's easier!).  Did you watch the movie/ read the book?
