Like many of you already know- because I have mentioned it so many times, I attended Hispanicize 2012 this year- which is an annual event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in social media, marketing, entertainment and innovation. It wasn't just a place to learn with bloggers, brands, marketers and media.. we also had lots of fun at different parties (Like the McDonalds Yatch Party). This year I had the opportunity to be a speaker at the fashion panel with Carmen-Viva Fashion, Adriana- Diario de la Moda, & Flor de Maria Fashion. We talk about how we started the blog, how we do it, how we work with brands, how we choose to cover certain topics, etc. It was an amazing experience and I'm so thankful with the Hispanicize team for giving me this opportunity- and specially, I wanted to thank you; and I don't think I say it as enough as I should.. thanks because my blog is what it is because of YOU! :)

Como les conté, la semana pasada estuve en la conferencia Hispanicize- para contarles un poquito, es un evento dedicado a los Latinos en social media, marketing, entretenimiento y más. Pero no era solo un lugar para ir a aprender junto a blogueras, marcas, compañÃas.. también habÃan muchÃsimas fiestas y eventos para compartir (como la de McDonalds que les hablé AQUI). Este año tuve la oportunidad de hablar en el panel de moda junto a Carmen de Viva Fashion, Adriana del Diario de la Moda, y Flor de Maria Fashion- ahà compartimos como empezamos con el blog, como trabajamos con las marcas, y uno que otro consejito sobre blogueras de moda y belleza. Fue una experiencia increÃble y le doy las gracias al equipo de Hispanicize por estar oportunidad- también quiero agradecerles a ustedes porque siento que no lo digo suficiente y no tienen idea agradecida que me siento con todas ustedes por todo el apoyo que me han dado!
I still have a couple of pictures from the Hispanicize conference to share (from Thursday and Friday)- but I don't know why I wanted to share this one first, which is actually from Saturday. My day started doing some errands for my brother's wedding; which also included my dress (I found this gorgeous two-tone long dress from BCBG). While I was looking for my dress, a sweet reader approached me to say hi (I love when that happens). Then I picked up Flor de Maria and headed to Midtown to have a drink and eat (while talking LOTS of fashion of course). We ate at this place called "Mercadito", it's really good and they have the best tacos! About my outfit: I have a blue/black stripe dress (which you'll see in a look soon!) and it inspired me to pair this maxi skirt with a royal blue top! Hope you liked it! XOXO

TodavÃa tengo un par de fotos por compartir de Hispanicize, pero no se porque quise subir este look primero. Esto fue lo que use el sábado; mi dÃa empezó haciendo varias diligencias... empecé buscando mel vestido para la boda eclesiástica de mi hermano (encontré uno muy colorido y largo en BCBG- y a buen precio!). En mi búsqueda, me saludó una lectora del blog muy linda. Luego pasé buscando a Flor de Maria Fashion y fuimos a Midtown a comer tapas en un sitio llamado "Mercadito". Sobre mi outfit: tengo un vestido de rayas negras y azul eléctrico que van a ver esta semana, que me inspiró a usar esta falda negra con un color vibrante y accesorios dorados. This is what I wore on Wednesday for the Hispanicize conference- I really wanted to me as comfy as possible (but still fashionable, of course). I decided to take out my purple jeans, which actually were my first pair of colored jeans (if I'm not mistaken, I got them in 2008). I paired them with this gorgeous mint top with a cute detail on the back, that you can actually wear with a regular bra. I had so much fun at the conference, I spent most of the time with Flor & Mercedes laughing and just joking around. I went to a couple of panels, stopped by the Dove-Vive-Mejor lounge where they were giving makeovers and product samples. Later, we headed to the welcome party thanks to Clorox and then got ready for the McDonalds batch party at night (if you haven't seen the pics.. CLICK HERE) Have an amazing week! Esto fue lo que utilicé el miércoles para conferencia de Hispanicize - de verdad que querÃa estar lo más cómoda posible, asà que quise desempolvar estos jeans (los cuales fueron mis primeros jeans de color, sino me equivoco los compré en el 2008) y combinarlos con una top menta (que aparte tiene un detalle lindÃsimo en la espalda, y lo mejor es que lo puedes usar con un bra regular). La pase buenÃsimo en la conferencia, estuve la mayorÃa del tiempo con Flor y Mercedes y lo que hicimos fue reirnos todo el dÃa. También fuimos a una que otro panel, pase un rato en el Lounge de Dove donde estaban maquillando y peinando- y también estuvimos en la fiesta de bienvenida de Clorox! This week was CRAZY- it started with classes the whole day on Monday and Tuesday.. and then I spent the next three days at the Hispanicize conference (where I was a speaker on Friday on a panel about fashion). I was so happy to be able to spend time with bloggers-who-have-became-friends, learn on the sessions, and meet different brands to talk about future projects. Even though, these are pics from Wednesday night, I really want to share pics from the day too (I wore a very comfy and colorful outfit). That day, I ran to the conference and forgot a couple of things for my night-look... so I ended up borrowing Flor's clothing (except the skirt!). I wore this to a McDonalds yacht party, which was amazing; the boat was huge, there was food/drinks/music, we enjoyed the gorgeous Miami skyline and I had so much fun with the lovely lor de Maria Fashion & Mercedes from BeChicMag. Esta semana fue totalmente agotadora- tuve clases todo el lunes y martes... y el miércoles empezó la conferencia Hispanicize (el la cual fui hablante el viernes en un panel de moda, luego les contaré más). El miércoles fue el primer dÃa de la conferencia y fue súper emocionante compartir con blogueras (que ya son más que blogueras, son amigas), aprender en los paneles, y reuniremos con diferentes marcas para futuros proyectos. También quiero compartir fotos de mi primer outfit este miércoles, fui muy cómoda- y tenÃa tantas cosas encima que apenas pude meter en mi cartera dos tonterÃas para la noche. Por lo cual terminé robándole a Flor mucha ropa (incluyendo la camisa, accesorios, y zapatos). Fuimos a una fiesta de McDonalds en un yate espectacular, el cual paseó por la bahÃa y pude tomar unas fotos lindÃsimas de la vista de Miami. HabÃa música, comida y cocktails...pero la mejor parte fue pasarla con mis queridÃsimas Flor de Maria Fashion y Mercedes de BeChicMag. Espero que les gusten las fotos!

Creo que les he mencionado lo mucho que me gusta usar piezas nuevas lo más que puedo- les juro que intenté guardar este outfit lo más que pude para que no pensaran "ay Daniela poniéndose lo mismo"... pero no me pude controlar. La camisa ya la vieron con unos jeans, AQUI, y la falda con una camisita de estrellas, AQUI. ¿Se acuerdan que les mencioné sobre la cartera "Wanderlust"? que viaja al mundo en manos de diferentes blogueras y pueden usarla de 3 formas; en esta ocasión la estoy usando abierta en vez de clutch (como vieron AQUI). Sobre mi dÃa: esto fue lo que usé para ir a clases y luego almorzar tarde con la familia de mi novio en un sitio mexicano. Gracias por visitar mi blog... son las mejores!
I spent last Sunday morning with Tatiana and Gabo (the official photographer) doing a photo-shoot for Tati's online store.. Furor. We did a lot of looks and it was so much- I'll show you all the looks and my favorite pictures from each one. Tati had in mind a field- and even though, there are a lot of open fields in Miami; we didn't want to get in trouble for trespassing. So we headed to a park in South Beach and Gaby was amazing faking the "field"- the beach was right behind us and a lot of people were walking by. You have already seen this top with a fun print- but black is a classic and even more versatile if you were it backwards too. Also, this pink clutch was one of my favorite pieces- the color is gorgeous and I still can't believe it's only $28. I hope you like the pics! XOXO

El domingo pasé toda la mañana con Tatiana y con Gabo (el fotógrafo oficial) en una sesión de fotos con la nueva colección de primavera de Furor Moda. Hicimos bastantes cambios de ropa y fue bastante divertido, poco a poco les iré mostrando todos los looks. Tatiana tenÃa en mente un campo/prado - y aunque donde vivo hay bastantes espacios como este- todos son terrenos privados y no querÃamos meternos en problemas. Decidimos ir a un parque en South Beach- aunque no se note, la playa estaba justo atrás de nosotros y Gabo hizo magia para que no se viera la gente pasando. El top es el mismo que vieron AQUI pero en negro- y puedes usarlo con la parte de atrás para adelante (para que se vea el detalle más). Personalmente, adoro el sobre- fue de mis piezas favoritas, el color es hermosÃsimo y no puedo creer que cuesta solo $28! Espero que disfruten las fotos! Un abrazo!

Hi girls! I hope your week had an amazing start- right now, I'm getting psychologically ready to spend more than 12 hours at the university every Tuesday. I wore this to have lunch with some friends at a sushi placed in Miami called Umami (amazing food, and great prices... yes, I'm a sushi lover). We were supposed to go last week for Gabo's late bday celebration but I was in Chile. About my outfit, as soon as I saw the pics.. I got a retro vibe- probably because of the corduroy shorts, the tie-up shirt and the platforms (it reminded me of these high school pics from 1969, which I absolutely adore!). I wanted to pair these mustard shorts with some navy platforms and a simple bag for a laid-back/casual look (oh btw, the bag, from Inverted Commas, is made of organic bottom and hand painted). Hola a todas! Espero que su semana haya empezado cheverÃsimo, yo me estoy preparando psicológicamente para pasar más de 12 horas en la universidad todos los martes. Esto fue lo que usé el fin de semana para almorzar sushi con unos amigos- que nos habÃan invitado por el cumpleaños de Gabo hace unas semanas (pero se tuvo que posponer un poco porque estuve en Chile la semana pasada). Sobre mi outfit, apenas lo vi en las fotos.. me dió una vibra retro por lo alto de los shorts y la tela de pana + la camisa amarrada + plataformas (me recordó a estas fotos de gente en el colegio en 1969). Quise combinar el short mostaza con unas plataformas azules y una cartera sencilla para que tuviera un aire más casual (por cierto; la cartera, de Inverted Commas, es ecológica y hecha a mano!).
