Yesterday was one of those crazy days just before traveling- you always have to run the most unexpected errands ever. I had lunch with my bf and went back home to pack. I hate packing, I feel like I always leave what I want to wear so I start to pack all that I can. Reason why I decided to plan my outfits- I don't want to disappoint my amazing readers while I'm away. Literally, I wrote all the outfit on my cellphone so I could organize them one by one with their respective bag/shoes&accessories. The problem is that I don't know how long I will be in Venezuela- I guess my plan B is my mom's closet. I also have to teach my mom how to use my camera (or make my friends take them), we'll see :) About my outfit: I know I've been wearing these shorts A LOT lately, but I had this outfit in mind for a while now and I kept postponing it. I'm in love with the floral platforms, I got them at Forever 21 last week. I hope you liked it!

Ayer fue uno de esos días de corre-corre, haciendo algunas diligencias antes de viajar. Fui a comer con mi novio y luego me puse a hacer la maleta; les echo un cuento, generalmente soy de las que lanza todo lo que ve en la maleta pero esta vez quería planificar mis outfits para no defraudarlas al estar de viaje. Primero me puse a pensar en los outfits, los anoté en el celular, luego los acomodé por pieza, les agregé sus respectivos zapatos y accesorios y de ahí a la maleta. Siento que se me quedaron mil cosas como siempre, pero ya veremos (si no, me la pasaré el closet de mi mamá). El gran problema es que no se cuanto tiempo voy a estar en Venezuela, y por lo tanto no se cuanta ropa llevar. Pondré a mis papás y amigas de fotógrafos, ya veremos que tal lo harán (aunque nada como el fotógrafo original, ¿verdad?). Sobre mi outfit: se que he estado usando estos shorts hasta más no poder, pero tenía esta combinación en mente desde hace tiempo y no se porque la seguía postponiendo. I had no idea what to wear to this week's challenge- I didn't want to buy a polka dot piece since the idea of these challenges is not to encourage you to buy BUT to recycle what you already have and "challenge" you to be creative. The only piece of clothing I had was this shirt but it's so.... PLAIN. Reason why I wanted to wear it with this bright jeans and classy blazer. Finally, I added the red lipstick- it's hot 305 by Covergril. About my day: It was raining  and the plan to go to the beach was completely ruined (you can see how cloudy it was). I just went to the mall because my bf wanted to check out some Nike shoes - or something like that. At night, we watched the basketball game (even though, I'm not really a fan). Llevaba toda la semana pensando que usar para el reto- no quería comprar nada porque la idea de estos retos no es salir a comprar cosas, es utilizar lo que ya tenemos en nuestro closet. La unica pieza de lunares que tengo es esta camisa, y siento que es tan... normal. Por eso quise combinarle con algunas piezas bastante llamativas para darle un giro (aparte que el día amaneció lloviendo y lloviendo como pueden ver en las fotos- y usar color siempre nos alegra de alguna forma). Para completar el look decidí pintarme los labios de rojo, un rojo super vibrante que me fascina. Me lo recomendó una maquillista de celebridades en un evento de Covergirl- se llama "Hot 305 de Lip-perfection". Sobre mi día: como les dije, estaba lloviendo y los planes de ir a la playa se arruinaron. Fue un domingo tranquilo, solo acompañe a mi novio a Nike que quería ver unos zapatos (o algo así). I went thrift store shopping last friday and, as I told you previously, I found the perfect green blazer (as you can see, it's not even oversized). I wanted to wear it as soon as it came out of the washer. I wanted to wear  color block again- this time I paired it with a vintage bright blue shirt and white shorts. I took Mimi Boutique's advice and wore the bag with bright colors- it looks amazing too. My day started at the mall trying to find some jeans for my mom- sadly, I didn't find the exact model she wanted. Then I had dinner with my bf at a mediterranean restaurant and, since we were right beside the movie theater,  we watched Pirates of the Caribbean (I know I know, it came out weeks ago). El viernes les conté que fui thrift store shopping y encontré un blazer verde de mi talla- este es el blazer y quería ponermelo apenas saliera de la lavadora. Quise hacer otro outfit de bloques de color al combinarlo con esta camisa azul (también de segunda mano) y estos shorts blancos que los he usando muchísimo últimamente. También tomé el consejo que dejo la dueña de Mimi Boutique en mi página, diciéndome que esta cartera también se ve espectacular con colores vibrantes. Hay días que quiero estar super relajada y otros que quiero verme arregladita de pies a cabeza. Mi día empezó buscando unos pantalones para mi mamá- lamentablemente no los conseguí. Luego fui a comer con mi novio a un sitio árabe al que nunca habíamos ido y ya que estabamos al lado del cine, fuimos a ver Piratas del Caribe (no la habíamos visto aunque salió hace siglos). ¿Ya la vieron? ¿Qué les pareció? Espero que esten pasando un domingo tranquilo y que tengan una bonita semana. Un abrazo!

Friday afternoon, nothing to do... what should I wear? Definitely a simple and comfy outfit- I love this shirt, my bf gave it to me as a graduation present last year- it's so comfortable. I added a statement necklace because I felt like it needed it. I'm so excited because I got a package from Mimi Boutique yesterday that included this bag (Isn't it gorgeous!? I love it.. it's just perfect!). I paired it with these bronze gladiator sandals. I wanted to go thrift store shopping looking for more blazers. I found the perfect green blazer, it even fits perfectly (even though I love the oversized look). It's not turquoise green nor military green.. it's just GREEN.  I want to wear this weekend (hopefully today!). When I was paying, the cashier told me about a place with dozens of mini-thrift stores. I was on my way there when I got a call from the dealer that my car was ready (I'm so glad it was nothing!). Now I just want to take a quick power nap and we'll see what I do tonight. Un viernes por la tarde sin nada importante que hacer... ¿qué usó? Opté por unos shorts sencillos y la camisa más cómoda de todo mi closet, le agregué un collar para que no se vieran tan vacía. Ayer me llegó una caja de Mimi Boutique y no puedo esperar para mostrarles todo- estoy fascinada con esta cartera: el color, el modelo a lo Balenciaga, el tamaño... es perfecta! Y justamente tengo estas sandalias gladiadores de un color bronze similar.  Fui a "thrift shopping" (las tiendas de segunda mano), eb búsqueda de más blazers- encontré uno verde verde ( digo verde verde porque no es ni turquesa ni miliar) con lo botones dorados! Me lo quiero poner YA, si salgo esta noche de seguro me lo pongo. Aparte de eso compré un anillo super delicado. Al momento de pagar, la señora me contó de una zona que tiene muchísimos thrift stores- salí corriendo para ir a ver que tal. Cuando estaba llegando, me llamaron del taller para decirme que mi carrito estaba listo- que emoción!! Ahora estoy descansando un ratito para ver que me invento más tarde! FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA! I wanted to do a quick post with few pics from last night (I was so stressed out that I didn't want to take many picturess but I really wanted to show you the outfit). The day started at the university. When I was leaving the parking garage, my car just stopped ( I thought it was the battery or something). However, some guys started screaming to me doing crazy signs.... all the gas was coming out from the bottom of the car (and the tank was full.... 12 gallons of gas ended on the floor). I'm so grateful a lot of people helped me, the whole parking team was there. Some moved the car out of the way, others cleaned the gas, and a guy was in charge of making sure no one was smoking. It was a crazy day, my car is at the dealer and when I came home, I felt sick because of the smell and my shoes were completely wet (yes, because of the gas). I was just exhausted... I decided to take a shower and get dressed... my bf was taking me out to a "romantic dinner"  because we were celebrating that we have being together for 4.5 years!  We ate sushi (again?! lol); but we tried a roll but "a hispanic twist"- it actually had cubans croquettes and plantain on top...delicious. I'm sorry, this was supposed to be a quick post.  Thanks for your comments and your support! XOXO

Quería hacer un post rapidito con pocas fotos de anoche (estaba tan estresada que no quería tomar fotos pero tampoco queía dejar de mostrarles mi outfit). Les cuento de mi DESASTRE de día, tuve que ir a hacer unas diligencias en la universidad y saliendo del estacionamiento... se me apaga el carro. Yo juraba que era algo de la batería, pero no... toda (TODA) la gasolina se estaba botando por debajo del carro. Le acababa de echar el tanque completo y todo quedó en el piso, más el peligro de que algo explotara. Un grupo de gente me ayudó: a moverlo, a limpiar la gasolina, a evitar que nadie fumara por la zona, a llamar a la grúa. Mi novio estaba con pacientes (el es psicólogo), y no podía ir a "salvarme"; así que uno de mis mejores amigos fue y me llevó a mi casa. Ahora estoy sin carrito :(, llegue a mi casa mariada del olor a gasolina y con mis flats emparamados de gasolina. Me bañe y me arreglé para despejarme y porque.... mi novio y yo cumplimos 4 años y medio juntos! (WOW, demasiado tiempo). Fuimos a cenar y listo! Comimos sushi (como casi siempre); pero probamos uno que era "con un toque hispano"- tenía croquetas cubanas y platano; suena raro, pero estaba riquísimo. Eso es todo por hoy, me extendí escribiendo.
