Last year, I had a blast partnering with Hanes and I’m so excited to continue the conversation on how to #BeComfydent- because when you are comfortable, you are confident.

The beginning of the year was definitely not the easiest; but with Gabe quickly recovering from his surgery, we are ready to start traveling again and enjoying every second to the fullest!

I absolutely love road-trips. I always have. In Venezuela, my dad’s family lives in a city 10 hours away from the capital. So it was a common trip for us. I’ve always loved having the flexibility of departing whenever you want, stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery, and bonding with your friends/family.

But as a fashion blogger, I have to admit I get very excited about packing beauty products without any liquid restrictions and bringing more outfits than necessary because no extra weight fees.  I always change my mind, I have to bring OPTIONS. But I always go for versatile pieces that I can mix and match.

Last week, I was invited by Disney Springs to enjoy a few days in Orlando with a group of incredible bloggers- such an incredible experience.

Our day started with a breakfast and presentation  of all Disney Springs was about; how it started in 1975 and how it has evolved and expanded over the years. A few years ago, when it was still Downtown Disney, I went with a couple of friends and Gabe to celebrate 4th of July- the fireworks were absolutely incredible.

Over the day we explored certain venues, shopped around, ate, and drank. Reason why I wanted to share 10 things you must do at Disney Springs.

La semana pasada, el equipo de Disney Springs me invitó a disfrutar unos días en Orlando junto a un grupo fabuloso de bloggers y conocer más de Disney Springs y lo que tienen que ofrecer.

 Nuestro día empezó con un desayuno  y una presentación donde nos contaban todo sobre Disney Springs, como empezó en 1975, y como ha evolucionado (y expandido) a trases de los años. Recuerdo que hace un par de años , fui con Gabo y unos amigos para celebrar el Día de Independencia de Estados Unidos- los fuegos artificiales estuvieron de sueño.

Durante el día estuvimos explorado, comprando, comiendo- hasta happy hour! Por eso quiero compartir con ustedes 10 cosas que deben hacer si van de visita a Disney Springs.

Empecemos.

This week we headed to Orlando for a fun experience with Disney Springs- used to be called Downtown Disney for the fellow folks like me who were confused about this change.

I'll be sharing all the fun from this trip soon, but I first want to get "of the way" these amazing pictures of Disney. I've been super intense with them on my IG and I want to make sure all the Disney stuff is shared before going back to reality. Honestly, why life can't be as magical!!?

This trip was a little different. I have not being to Disney since 2009, I think.  This time I was looking a lot at the kids (definitely baby fever, not ashamed to admit it). My heart would melt by the way they would smile, wave, blow kisses at the Disney characters. It also reminded me of the times I was in their place and how simple life used to be (randomly, I remember the castle being way bigger...but that happens!)

I was very impressed by the amount of people. We are not officially in high season since the kids are not out of school yet , but I swear the park could not fit another soul but people kept arriving!

About my outfit: it was crazy hot. I tried to kept it as cool as possible. I wore my bandana on the neck but I felt I was choking of hotness, so I put it in my wrist eventually.  I should have worn shorts instead of a denim skirt- but I swear I could move around and sit (plus I always wear shorts underneath...no panty accidents over here).

Esta semana fuimos a Orlando a un viaje muy divertido junto a Disney Springs- antes conocido como Downtown Disney. 

Pronto les contaré todo bien de esa experiencia, también les mostré mi outfit en Disney Springs y del roadtrip. Pero no podía esperar por compartir estas fotos; he estado mega intensa con Disney- ¿pero es que cómo NO? Es un sitio tan mágico.

No se si es parte de la "fiebre de bebés" en mi, pero este viaje lo vi de otra manera. Me fijé mucho en la cara de los niños: esa emoción, esa inocencia tan bonita. Durante el desfile se me derretía el corazón con los niños lanzándole besos, saludando y sonriendo a los muñecos. Me recordó a esos paseos cuando era niña con mi familia (recordaba el castillo más grande, pero eso es muy común)- ¡y eso siempre me pone sentimental!.

También me impresionó la cantidad de gente, todavía no estamos oficialmente en temporada alta (los niños no están de vacaciones todavía). Y les juro que en ese parque no cabía un alma, y seguía llegando y llegando gente. 

De mi outfit, intente ir lo más cómoda y fresca posible porque el calor ya esta infernal. Me había puesto mi pañuelo en el cuello pero tuve que ponérmelo estilo "Fey" porque sentí que me sofocaba. En un momento hubiese preferido estar en short que en falda, pero me pude mover tranquila y siempre uso shorts debajo para evitar cualquier accidente.

I'm not a big white jeans fan. I'm to clumsy for them, I'll be the one girl with the big big big ketchup stain on them.

However, these white boyfriend jeans stole my fashion heart. I love that they are a little high-waisted, comfortable, and super ripped- making them the antithesis of the skinny white jeans.

As you can see, footwear-wise, I love wearing them with white sneakers.  Sneakers really compliment the casual vibe of these pants; but they also look amazing with cage heels (sandals, pumps, anything!). I've also worn them with my favorite black booties, not sure why I haven't photographed those looks- probably because they were too plain and comfy.

These jeans work great with edgier outfits (hi mesh shirt!), but also with a romantic off the shoulder lace top or a cozy big sweater.

Si les soy sincera no soy la más fanática de los jeans blancos. Me considero muy torpe y termino siempre sentandome en la tierra o con una mancha inmensa de comida en los pantalones.

Pero estos jeans son diferentes, son estilo "boyfriend": más anchos, a la cintura, cómodos, y mega rotos.  Para mi son totalmente lo contrario a los clásicos jeans blancos en modelo skinny.

En cuanto a zapatos los he combinado mucho con zapatos de goma o sneakers. Los sneakers le dan ese toque casual al pantalón; pero también quedan muy bien con tacones con muchas tiritas, y botas. Varias veces me los he puesto con mis botas favoritas pero probablemente han sido looks muy sencillos para salir en el blog.

Estos jeans también son bastante edgy, me han inspirado a usarlo con una camisa de malla; pero eso no significa que no queden bien con un top con los hombros al descubierto de encaje.

We took the pictures for a fun campaign with the Movie "Everything, Everything". I remember seeing the trailer a few months ago and I got absolutely excited to see it (the guy is from Melissa and Joey, totally random but I feel I saw him grow and he is adorable). Since, I love good-old movies that make you cry like a little baby, I absolutely said yes to this campaign. I loved the concept of sharing who is your Everything, Everything. It's very important to stay true to who you are and only work doing campaigns you truly believe in.

You all know our story by now, we have been together since we were teens right off high school. I've shared how we met, when we got engaged, when we got married, our trips, our best of times...and the not-so-great times.

The past few months have been hard, healing in the middle of this emotional storm. I'm so glad to have him by my side. He is literally the one holding the umbrella and making sure I'm okay every step of the way(even if in pictures it doesn't look like he is great at sharing...I promise he is!). He encourages me to live life to the fullest. He is my rock.

I want to thank everyone who took the time to read my miscarriage story.  I was so nervous about opening my soul so publicly. I have been slowly answering all comments, texts, DMs, tweets, etc💓💓 Gabe and I are feel so thankful and overwhelmed with love. We can't thank you enough for sharing your story with us, for your sweet words, your blessings! 💓🙏🏼💓 Love you all!

Estas fotos las tomamos para una campaña muy linda con la película "Everything, Everything". Recuerda que vi el trailer mucho antes de que me escribiera la compañía que los representa y ya estaba mega emocionada por verla. Aparte que me encanta el actor, desde que era chiquitico en Melissa y Joey. Aparte que amo las películas románticas que te hacen llorar y evaluar lo afortunados que somos.  El concepto era compartir a esa persona que es tu Todo, Todo.   Y como siempre les digo, es muy importante mantener la esencia y solo trabajar en campañas que te encanten.

Pero regresando a nosotros, ya les he contado tanto: como nos conocimos el primer año de la universidad, cuando nos comprometimos, cuando nos casamos, nuestros viajes, nuestros mejores momentos.. y los "no tan perfectos".

Los últimos meses han sido difíciles, ha sido literal sanar de esta tormenta emocional. Y más que nunca agradezco tenerlo a mi lado. Ha sido el que ha estado aguantando el paraguas asegurándose que este bien en cada paso (aunque en las fotos no parezca que es bueno compartiendo...¡les prometo que si!). 

Cuando compartí el post de la pérdida, no tienen idea lo nerviosa que estaba, era como abrir mi alma justo en ese rinconcito que más duele.  Poco a poco les he estado respondiendo todos los comentarios, mensajes privados, emails, tweets... y no tienen idea lo agradecidos que estamos Gabe y yo por tanto cariño. 💓💓🙏🏼Gracias por compartir sus historias con nosotros, llenarnos de esperanza y bendiciones. ¡Los queremos mucho!

Two week ago, I hosted an event with Henri Bendel at Aventura Mall...and this is what I wore!

Hosting events always make me a little nervous: are people going to show up? And then trying to tweet, IG story, and snap away while actually interacting with people and having fun.

It ended up being amazing. I absolutely love seeing my fellow bloggers and catching up (even better if it's surrounded by pretty bags and jewels).

I was wearing this gorgeous army green bag from Henri Bendel. I've been looking for an army green purse for a while, and I thought the patches where the perfect trendy touch! (There's also a version without the patches if you are looking for a timeless version).

I've been wearing these jeans a lot too. Stay tuned for a Remix on Wednesday.  The shirt is Hanes, and it's actually Gabe's. The fit is a little oversize because it is mens, but I'm loving it - I'm always stealing his clothes.

Hace dos semanas, fui (junto a dos bloggers más) la anfitriona de un evento de Henri Bendel (una de mis marcas favoritas de carteras) y esto fue lo que utilice.

Los eventos siempre me ponen los pelos de punta, me da como nervios que no vaya nadie ; y los niveles de estrés están a mil por todas las redes que hay que actualizar mientras hay que interactuar con la gente y pasarla bien.

Terminó siendo increíble.  Me encanto compartir con otras bloggers y ponernos al día (mejor aún cuando estas rodeada de carteras y accesorios espectaculares).

Estaba usando esta cartera color verde militar; llevaba tiempo buscando una de este color. Me parece que los parches de flores le dan el toque "en tenencia". También hay una versión sin los parches si estás buscando una opción que dure años de años de mod.

Ultimamente me ha dado por volver a usar estos jeans mucho. Pronto les dejo un REMIX con ellos. La camisa de Hanes, y es de mi esposo- por mucho que compro camisas más anchas, el fit de las de los hombres me encanta.

Like I've shared many times, I started in the world of blogging in 2009.  I've seen big changes but the biggest one yet was in 2012 when Instagram changed the rules of blogging.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love that it opened the doors for us bloggers to reach people in a way no other social media network did before.  I feel very grateful of my 200,000 followers and I appreciate every follow.

At the same time, it somehow killed blogs. Nowadays, it's very common to hear "I rarely go to blogs anymore" from a user point of view and "why the trouble if nobody reads anymore". Pageviews went significantly down. Out of frustration, some joined the Insta-blogger trend and left their blogs collecting dust. Ohers, like me, stopped updating it daily.  At the moment, I'm trying to update it every other day but I want to go back to daily, maybe not daily outfits but daily content.

With all the changes happening in the Instagram platform. Impressions are getting lower, obligating us one way or the other to pay to reach our audience. Shadow-banning is real and some of us are not reaching the amount of people we used to. People are desperate to grow; frequent giveaways, buying likes , using bots, etc.

I want to encourage you to give a little love to your blog. Update your blog frequently, you are already creating amazing content for IG...why not ALSO share it in a platform that is fully yours? A platform that you can control. We don't know what might happen to IG in the future and you cannot let your career to depend on it.

 I've always said that your blog shouldn't be the end goal, it's a step into a bigger dream. Treat it as your portfolio, network, grow as a professional, and EVERYTHING is possible🙌🏼💓💓

Como les he contado muchas veces, yo empecé en el mundo de los blogs en el 2009. He visto muchos cambios pero el más grande fue definitivamente el boom del Instagram en el 2012.

IG cambió las reglas del juego en el mundo de los blogs.  No me malinterpretes, me siento con esta plataforma porque a mi me abrió muchas puertas y me logró a alcanzar una audiencia con la cual me siento muy agradecida.

Pero al mismo tiempo, "mató" a los blogs como tal. Casi inmediatamente después del gran boom, las vistas de los blogs bajaron sustancialmente. Empezó a ser muy común oir frases como "ya no vale la pena actualizar el blog, nadie está leyendo"desde el lado de los bloggers y "ya nunca me meto a leer blogs" de parte de los usuario. Por esta razón, muchas se enfocaron en IG y dejaron el blog agarrando polvo...yo como muchas, dejé de actualizarlo a diario.  En estos momentos estoy intentando subir un post cada dos d días y regresaré al diario (no outfits diarios pero si contenido que les pueda interesar).

Me imagino que se han podido dar cuenta, IG sigue cambiado y cambiando- las impresiones cada vez son mas bajas para obligarnos a pagar para llegar a todos nuestros seguidores. Hay algo llamado "shadow-ban" que nos limita el alcance. Todo el mundo esta buscando estrategías para seguir creciendo, pero ¿por qué estamos dependiendo tanto en una plataforma que no es nuestra?

Por esto quiero motivarlos a regresar a los blogs, a tener tu propia plataforma, a contar sus historias más alla de una foto bonita. Si ya estás creando contenido increíble para IG, ¿por qué no compartirlo TAMBIEN en una plataforma donde tienes todo el control? Siempre he dicho que ser blogger no es la meta, es el camino para llegar a una meta más grande . 🙌🏼🙌🏼💓💓
