This year’s Miami Spring has been more than perfection- breezy days and some chilly nights. I’m always excited to layer: adding this sheer lace top to this denim midi dress is the best way to elevate the look. I also can’t wait to wear the denim dress with booties and a red bandana. Another piece I’m obsessed with: this clear bomber jacket. It’s the perfect mix of sporty, edgy, and cool. I paired it with a color block slip dress and sneakers…but this dress would look amazing for a night out with some killer heels!

There’s something about Spring and its warmer air that inspires us to start over- this blooming season leads us to makeovers of all kinds. Some people start renovation major projects in the backyard, and some people clean out their closet (especially to make space for fresher and newer things to come along, raise your hand shopaholics!). This is why I’m super excited to partner with eBay during its Spring Sale because you can find absolutely anything you need; from vacuum cleaners to home organization products, and everything in between. Four years ago, I moved to a 1 bedroom 1 tiny closet apartment in Miami with my then-fiance-now-husband. I’m not going to lie: as the little girl of the house, I was also used to having my own closet and space…then add up the “fashion blogger” factor. Over the years, I’ve learned some tips to maximize space, keep everything organized and achieve all your Spring Cleaning Goals.
1. Keep, Fix, Donate, Throw Away, and Sell.
Start by going through EVERYTHING in your closet and get ready to have 5 piles: (1) Keep (2) Fix (3) Donate (4) Throw Away and (5) Sell.
Ask yourself the following questions:
Have I worn it in the past year? Why haven’t I worn it? Is it damaged? Is it fixable? Does it still fit? Is it still on-trend?
If the items are in good condition but have no significant value, donate them. If you think you can get a little money, sell them! Forget about sentimental value; it doesn’t make sense to keep the dress you wore to prom 10 years ago. Remember keeping an item isn’t what keeps the memory alive.
2. Upgrade your closet with ultra thing anti-slip velvet hangers
I’ve been slowly transitioning to velvet hangers for many reasons. First of all, it gives a luxurious feel to your closet. Second, the ultra thin shape will let you put more items. FInally, the velvet helps clothes to not slip. During the eBay sale I got 50 hangers for under $20!! At this price, I might get a few more.
Also, try this fun trick to know if you have worn something in the past year. Put your hangers backwards every time you do a clean-out; when you wear it, put it back as it should be hung normally. At the end of the year you can clearly see what you haven't worn in a while.
3. Makeup needs Spring Cleaning too:
We tend to forget that make-up has an inspiration date…and sometimes it’s expires faster than we expect! For example: eyeliner lasts from 6 months to a year, while mascara lasts 3-6 months. On the other hand: lipstick, powder cosmetics (blush, eyeshadow, setting powder) can last up to two years. Also consider that all natural makeup expires faster.
If you are not sure how old a product is, smell it trust your senses. Wearing makeup that’s expired can cause breakouts and allergies.
Try keeping what you really love and use frequently. Clean it and get ready to store it!
4. Display and Keep Your Makeup Organized
After cleaning up your makeup bag, think about what you wear on a regular basis, what you wear on special occasions…and now it’s time to keep it organized! I absolutely love clear displays on my vanity.
For my brushes, mascara, and liners, I got this Curved Acryling Organizer (for only $12!). You all know I’m a lipstick lover, so I got this 24 Lipstick Makeup Holder! I’ll make sure to keep my favorite shades at reach- that way I don’t forget them and continue wearing them. Finally, I keep everything by type in the Storage Clear Case. On the top shelf, I like putting my every day products; while on the little drawers I put special occasion products.
5. Keep your season-clothes at reach
People ask me frequently how I keep organized my clothes when it comes to shooting. When get a new item or something I want to shoot, I don’t instantly put it in the closet (because it gets lost…I’m sure sometimes you find clothes with new tags hidden in the back of your closet). That’s why I like using a clothing rack. There I keep seasonal items, new items, and I organize the looks for the blog. PLUS it gives me extra storage.
My clothing rack recently broke after many years, so I decided to upgrade and I got a Collapsible Rack Hanger at ebay. The quality is amazing and I found it for $40, half the price I saw it in local stores!

This trend came out of nowhere. I remember I saw it first on Kim Kardashian's IG. Even though I'm not the biggest fan, I can appreciate her as someone who isn't afraid to try new trends.
There's something super edgy about this trend, but there are ways to adjust it to your personal style. For example, last month I showed you how you can wear lace tights instead of fishnets if you are more romantic or girly.
But let's focus on fishnets today. I want to to give you some tips to take full advantage of the fun pair you purchase (which btw are under $10 in most sites...you all know how I love an affordable trend!).

Estas medias me parecen muy edgy, pero hay maneras de ajustar esta tendencia para que vayan con tu estilo. Por ejemplo, el mes pasado les mostré como pueden usar unas medias de encaje si tienen un estilo más romántico.
Pero hoy me voy a enfocar en las medias de mallita. Estas las pueden encontrar en muchas páginas web por menos de $10. Es decir, son una manera sencilla de actualizar cualquier look por poco dinero.

Like I always say, it's not about having the biggest wardrobe, but about one that is filled with versatile pieces you can wear over and over (and that anyone notices , of course). So today, I'm sharing 5 basic pieces and how you can wear them season after season.
Cinco prendas que puedes usar temporada tras temporada.
No se trata de tener un armario inmenso, se trata de tener un guardarropa versátil lleno de piezas que podamos usar muchas veces (sin que nadie se de cuenta, por su puesto). Por esta razón hoy quiero hablarles de 5 piezas esenciales en tu closet que vas a poder sacarle provecho tanto en todas las temporadas.
1. Black Jeans:
Let's start with black denim jeans. They are extremely versatile. They make us look leaner and taller (and we all want that. I totally do!), and they go with everything. Look for a pair you feel absolutely espectacular in and a pair that fits your style (high waisted, skinny, ripped etc). Remember that if you go for a classic pair you are going to be able to wear it to the office with a blazer too.
During the Summer: pair them with light and flow tops or crop tops. You can also add the perfect summer jacket: a denim jacket and some sandals!
For the Winter: layer these jeans with your warmest coats, scarfs, and boots!

1. Jeans Negros:
Empecemos con los pantalones de mezclilla negros. Son extremadamente versátiles, nos hacen ver más delgadas y altas (¿qué mujer no busca eso?), y van con todo. Busca unos con los que te sientas espectacular; pueden ser a la cintura,a la cadera, skinny, rotos…hay uno para todos los gustos y tipos de cuerpo. Si optas por un par clásico, puedes usarlo hasta en la oficina al combinarlo con un blazer y blusa clásica.
En dÃa cálidos: usa tus jeans negros con camisas frescas y vaporosas, puedes añadir una chaqueta de mezclilla, y sandalias.
En dÃas frÃos: estos pantalones combinan con todos tus abrigos, bufandas, y botas.
2. White Blouse:
Yeap, you know wit: a basic that you must have and invest in. A white blouse makes you look elegant and you can adapt it to any style and age.
During the Summer: cuff the sleeves, open a couple of buttons, and pair it with colorful and light bottoms and accessories.
For the Winter: button it up and add a leather jacket- such a classic and timeless look. It also looks amazing under round neck sweater (that way you can see the shirt's collar!). Final touch: your favorite boots!

2. Blusa blanca
Esta es otra pieza que no puede faltar en el closet de la mujer, y que tiende a aparecer en todas las listas de piezas imprescindible. Nos hace ver elegantes y puedes adaptarla a tu estilo y a tu edad.
En dÃa cálidos: arremanga la camisa, abre al menos dos botones, y combÃnala con pieza coloridas y veraniegas
En dÃas frÃos: abróchala hasta el último botón y añade una chaqueta de cuero….un look clásico y espectacular. También se ven muy bien debajo de suéteres con cuello redondo (de manera que sobresalga el cuello). Los toques finales van a hacer tus botas favoritas.
3. Denim Shirt:
This piece is always associated with Spring and Summer- but this versatile fabric works perfectly during the cold days.
During the Summer: go for white shorts or light skirts. For a summer look: add a straw hat and very comfortable sandals.
For the Winter: pair your denim shirt with your favorite jeans and a coat. I love a good denim on denim look + it looks amazing with a camel coat. Final touch: a leopard clutch (or shoes!)

3. Camisa de mezclilla
Esta es una de esas piezas que generalmente se asocian con el verano; pero por su tela versátil puede usarse fácilmente en dÃas más frÃos.
En dÃas cálidos: úsala con shorts o faldas frescas. En la foto les muestro un look de mezclilla con mezclilla al usarlo con shorts blancos. Protégete del sol con un sombrero de paja y disfruta de las temperaturas cálidas con unas sandalias muy cómodas.
En dÃas frÃos: úsala con tus pantalones favoritos y un abrigo. Este look también es de mezclilla con mezclilla pero apropiado para dÃas más frÃos. La mezcla de mezclilla con el color camel es moderna y divertida. Si te arriesgas, agrega una cartera de estampado de leopardo.
4. Military Jacket:
I rarely see military jackets on the "must-have" lists, leather jackets are common but they are too heavy for all seasons. However, an army jacket is one of my favorite type of jackets. I love to wear them to travel and it balances out girly pieces. Don't be afraid to pair it with different prints floral, stripes, or leopard prints- or textures like lace, leather, and denim.
During the Summer: wear it over a light dress, denim shorts, or white denim!
For the Winter: besides some jeans and sweaters, you can also pair it with a sweater dress, fleece tights, warm over the knee boots, and a printed scarf.

4. Chaqueta militar:
Estas chaquetas no tienden a estar en las tÃpicas listas de piezas que debes tener. Pero yo las considero un must-have, sin importar si tu estilo es clásico o muy edgy. A mi me encantan para viajar al combinarlas con jeans y zapatos cómodos. Esta chaqueta le da equilibrio a piezas muy femeninas- no tengas miedo de combinarla con estampados florales, de rayas, o de leopardo. También puedes jugar con texturas y usarla con encaje, cuero y mezclilla.
En dÃas cálidos: puedes usarla sobre un vestido fresco de rayas o con un pantalón corto de mezclilla. También se ve muy bien con jeans blancos.
En dÃas frÃos: aparte de usarla con tus jeans y camisas abrigadas, también puedes usarla con un vestido estilo suéter (sweater dress), unas medias panty, unas botas calientitas, y una bufanda con estampado llamativo.
5. Floral Skirt:
Ok, yes floral skirts are mostly seen during Spring/Summer; but I recommend getting one in darker tones for a seamless transition into winter. Go for blue, burgundy, army green, or mustard...that way you can wear it all year.
During the Summer: show of your shoulders!! and play with the tones of the skirt in your accessories!
For the Winter: add as many layers as possible. Your best bet is fleece tights under the skirt, a shirt under a warm sweater . Dare to wear a graphic sweater...they are always fun. And if you still need it, add a long coat.

5. Falda de flores:
Las faldas de flores las vemos en todos lados en la temporada de Primavera-Verano; pero con varias capas puedes usarla todo el año. Mi recomendación es que busques una falda de flores en tonos frÃos u oscuros- de esa manera la transición al invierno será más fácil. Búscala en tonos azules, borgoña, verde militar, mostaza, etc.
En dÃas cálidos: destapa tus hombros con un top de un hombro o con los hombros al descubierto. Juega con los tonos de las flores en tus accesorios y zapatos.
En los dÃas frÃos: agrega unas medias pantys gruesas y unos botines. Agrega cuantas capas sea necesario; puede ser una camisa debajo de tu suéter (arriésgate a usar un suéter con dibujos o letras). Y si todavÃa lo necesitas, agrega un abrigo largo.

When I was little, I had to use corrective orthopedic shoes for the first five years of my life. I remember going to the mall with my mom and staring at shoe stores just daydreaming about the day I could wear all those styles…that’s when my healthy shoe obsession began! Y la primavera llegó... ¡lo que significa que llegan nuevas tendencias!! Ustedes saben que a mi me encanta mezclar y hacer mis remix con las piezas que ya tengo; pero también creo en invertir en ciertas piezas cada temporada para mantener tu "Klozet al dÃa y a la moda.
Cuando era chiquita, usé zapatos ortopédicos hasta los 5 años. Recuerdo que pasear por los centros comerciales con mi mamá y quedarme embelesada viendo los zapatos en las tiendas y soñando con algún dÃa usar diferentes estilos.
Hoy estoy muy feliz de colaborar con DSW para mostrarte mis 5 tendencias favoritas para esta temporada. ¡Definitivamente hay una para cada personalidad y son todas muy versátiles!
1. Espadrilles:
Espadrilles are the go-to style for Spring and Summer- especially if you are heading to any tropical vacation. This pair from Indigo RD is only $39.95 and it goes with absolutely all your favorite Summer outfits. I love the chic ankle tie too. This time I paired these light canvas shoes with my “exploring-a-new-city” outfit: some cool high waisted black jeans, a simple striped tee, a red bandana around the neck, a denim jacket, and a straw boater hat! You can also wear it with a flowy dress over your bathing suit or with a floral romper- so versatile!
Las alpargatas es uno de los modelos que nunca falla para la Primavera-Verano, especialmente si vas a hacer turismo en un destino tropical. Este par es de Indigo RD ($39.95) va con todo tipo de outfits veraniegos. Esta vez lo combiné con unos jeans negros, una camisa de rayas, mi bandana roja, y mi sombrero favorito... este es como el look perfecto para explorar una nueva ciudad. También puedes usarlo con un vestido suelto sobre tu traje de baño o con un romper de flores- versatilidad al máximo.
2.Athleisure
The sneaker trend isn’t going anywhere…and I’m not complaining, ‘cause my feet aren’t either! Even though I’m only 5’2, I absolutely love the “Athleisure” trend and how it’s appropriate to wear sneakers basically everywhere! You can go for a classic pair of white sneakers but I feel this season is the time to be a little more daring- these satin blush Madden Girl sneakers are EVERYTHING. Think pom poms, perforated leather, bows, embroidery, etc.
I went for a comfortable grey shirtdress with a super cool floral bomber that matched my blush sneakers perfectly. You can also wear this edgy pair with boyfriend jeans and a light sweater or white overalls and a cute crop top.
La moda de los zapatos de gomas o sneakers no va a ningún lado.. y ¡no me quejo! (mis pies tampoco se quejan!!). Aunque solo mido un poco más de medio metro, amo la tendencia atlética y como podemos usar sneakers para todos lados. Las temporadas pasadas vimos muchos sneakers blancos sencillos pero este año arriésgate un poco más. Por ejemplo, estos de un tono rosa pálido con una bolita peluda son de Madden Girl.
Inspirada por el color de los zapatos, quise usarlos con un bomber floral del mismo color rosado. También tengo pensado usarlos con unos jeans estilo boyfriend o con una braguita blanca y crop top.
3. Embellishment
Add excitement to a basic shoe style with sequins, pompoms, embroidery, you name it! I love pumps and I love this modern take on pumps with its denim color, chic block heel (that’s also embroidered!!). This Jessica Simpson pair is definitely a head turner. You can wear them with denim (all denim with pops of red is so perfect for Spring). I can’t wait to wear it with a light white midi dress!!
Dale un toque divertido a los zapatos clásicos con lentejuelas, pompones, bordados, etc. A mi me encantan los tacones cerrados y este de mezclilla con bordado y tacón grueso me pareció . Este par es de Jessica Simpson - puedes usarlo con un look completo de mezclilla (a mi me encanta todo denim con los toqes de rojo!), ¡pero también quedarán bellas con un vestido midi blanco!
4. Minimal Sandals
Some days you just want your outfit to shine; and that’s when a minimalist sandal does its job! Go for a nude minimal sandal to elongate your legs! Because I am still obsessed with velvet, I had to get these CL by Laundry Velvet Sandals; the color is perfect, the kitten heel is hotter than ever (and oh-so comfortbale!), and the price? Just $39.95!
The luxe velvet texture inspired me to wear this for a night-out with the hubby. They go perfectly with a blush metallic skirt, white top, and statement earrings! You can also dress them down with jeans or a pastel colored romper!
Hay dÃas que quieres que tu outfit sea totalmente el protagonista; y ahà es cuando las sandalias minimalistas hacen su trabajo. Por ejemplo, los dÃas que quieras alargar tus piernas, busca unas del color de piel. Yo, que todavÃa sigo obsesionada con el terciopelo, escogà estas de CL by Laundry Velvet Sandals; com pueden ver, me encanta este tono rosa y el tacón bajo las hace cómodas pero elegantes para cualquier ocasión.
La textura elegante del terciopelo me inspiró para usarlas con una falda metalizada del mismo color; un top blanco, y unos aretes muy llamativos. Pero estos tacones también visten a unos jeans sencillos o a un romper de tonos pasteles.
5. Slides
Ok. I think this is my favorite trend for Spring 2017!! This style is backless and open toe, and they can be easily worn casually and formally. These red slides from Aldo add a little height (which I always appreciate!), and they are so comfortable! They also come in tan and black, but this shade of orangy-red makes a statement no matter how you wear them. While shooting them, I wanted to wear them with absolutely everything! You are going to see them a lot on the blog! They look amazing with cocktail dress..and well, more of a hipster-looking outfit!
Ok, creo que esta es mi favorita . Este estilo es el más fácil de usar tanto en ocasiones casuales como formales. Estas son de Aldo y ni se imaginan lo cómodas que son (pero me dan un par de centÃmetros extra, cosa que siempre aprecio). Vienen en tan, negras, y en este tono de rojo-anaranjado (que se ve bellÃsimo con lo que utilices). Me costó mucho escoger que outfit porque básicamente querÃa usarlas con todo. Estoy segura que las verán muchÃsimo en el blog.
