What's "I challenge you to..."? ¿Qué es " Te reto a...." ?"Te reto a..." es una sección especial en la cual nosotras ( Flor de Maria Fashion, Ashley y yo) retamos a todas las bloggers y lectoras a usar ciertas tendencias/ temas- y nos encantarÃa que nos acompañaran. Cada 15 dÃas (especÃficamente los lunes) publicaremos el reto, de manera que tengan dos semanas para planificar y usar su outfit. Luego el domingo siguiente nosotras compartiremos como lo usamos nosotras y pondremos un espacio para que ustedes dejen el link de sus artÃculos/fotos.
Esta vez te retamos a lentejuelas durante la primavera- generalmente las relaciono con la Navidad y fiestas decembrinas, razón por la cual es te es un gran reto para mi.

Remember I couple of days ago I invited you to Furor's first fashion show? I have more exciting news, a group of the top Miami bloggers are going to be the models down the runway (which is so excited and a little nerve-wracking). There's going to be a lot more at the event than just fashion, more than 20 artists will be showcased (including fashion, art, photography, music, and performance art). ¿Se acuerdan que hace unos dÃas las invité al primer show de moda de Furor Moda? Les tengo más noticias, un grupo de blogueras de Miami vamos a ser las modelos (lo cual me emociona mucho y me da un poquito de nervios). Les cuento un poquito más del evento: no solo va a ser un Fashion Show, también van a haber más de 20 artistas de Miami (arte, moda, música, fotográfica y más). Pueden ver más información AQUI, en dado caso que vivan en Miami y quieran ir. Esto fue lo que utilicé el viernes para ir a donde Furor Moda y planear lo que me voy a poner para la pasarela. Luego llegaron otras blogueras y estuvimos compartiendo un rato, tomando vino, y probándonos ropa. Espero verlas en el evento y que les haya gustado el look del dÃa! Un abrazo inmenso.
Hey girls! How was your weekend? This was one of the other looks from the collaboration with "Our Prince of Peace"- and I even forgot I had it... it is from the past week, I wore it to have dinner with Gaby just before he left to Puerto Rico to visit his family. I based this look completely around this skirt- I loved the print and wanted to make it stand out. I paired it with my new favorite shirt, I seriously want to wear it with absolutely everything. To bring out the blues in the skirt, I added these blue Mary Janes and a little blue bracelet. I hope you liked the look! Have an amazing week!

Hola! ¿Cómo pasaron el fin de semana? Este es otro de los looks para la colaboración que hice con "Our prince of Peace"- y se me habÃa olvidado completamente publicarlo ya que se me acumularon bastantes looks. Esto fue lo que utilicé la semana pasada para ir a comer con Gabo justo antes de que se fuera a pasar unos dÃas en Puerto Rico- de donde es. El look lo basé totalmente en la falda: como era tan llamativa, la combiné con una blusa blanca (que aparentemente van a ver muchÃsimo, porque combina con absolutamente todo- como buena camisa blanca). Para que los azules de la falda sobresalieran, agregué un poco de color en los zapatos y en el detallito de la pulserita. Espero que les haya gustado y FELIZ SEMANA!
I have choose all the previous "celebrity inspired" outfits we have done- but this time I asked Gabo to choose the look (which resulted in a pair of casual and wearable looks, totally more his style). Even though Ashley's look was a little too simple for me, we had a lot of fun recreating them. Both looks are very simple, and I'm sure that you and your significant other have items like these. Even though, it's extremely hot in Miami right now, these looks were perfect for the cold a/c in the movie theaters. However, let's talk money... Ashley's booties cost over $1,000- while my total look is around $140. I hope you liked this look with a special guest! Thanks for stopping by!

Las veces que hemos hecho "look de celebridades", los he escogido yo y siempre intento que sean combinaciones que yo me pondrÃa pero mi novio no tanto. En esta ocasión le pedà que revisara conmigo combinaciones de diferentes parejas en Hollywood y que el escogiera- razón por la cual el outfit es más casual de lo normal, pero fue igual de entretenido de hacer. Ambas combinaciones son facilÃsimas de copiar- con piezas que probablemente tienes en tu closet (o similares). Aunque esta haciendo un calor terrible en Miami, estos looks fueron perfectos para el frÃo que siempre hace en el cine. Solo los botines que lleva Ashley sobrepasan los $1,000; mientras que mi outfit completo cuesta menos de $140. Espero que les haya gustado este look con el invitado especial. Un abrazo grandÃsimo.

Hey girls! I swear I've been looking for months for the perfect pair of floral pants- until I found these for $20 at 2020 Ave. At first, I felt in love with the H&M ones that a lot of bloggers have- but the closest H&M is more than 1 hour away, so it was sold out even before I could try finding it. Then, I checked out Zara- but the prints didn't convince me.. and the price was a little over my budget for a trendy piece. The best part about this pair is that the gray+white combo makes it less risky and wearable. Since I was only going to have an early dinner with Gabo, I kept the look very simple with a black tee and fun red pumps (with red lips and red nails!). Do you like floral pants? What about these? Les juro que estuve buscando meses por el par perfecto de pantalones floreados- me enamoré de los de H&M que tienen muchas, pero el H&M más cercano a Miami queda a una hora y media y se agotaron antes de que pudiera buscarlos. Luego vi bastantes en Zara, pero habÃa algo que no me convencÃa del estampado. En 2020 Ave tienen estos que, como pueden ver es un estampado floral en grises ( una opción menos arriesgada pero igual de "a la moda".. y lo mejor de todo es que solo cuestan $20). Ya que solo salà a la cita semanal de sushi con Gabo, quise mantener el look casual con una camisa negra sencilla- y le agregué un poco de color con mis zapatos rojos, y uñas + un labial del mismo color. ¿Qué opinan de los pantalones floreados? Un abrazo inmenso... FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA!
Hey girls! This is what I wore to my crazy Tuesday at the university- as I've said a million times, I spent around 14 hrs every Tuesday in school. However, it was supposed to be different this week; I had a fun event to attend and I wanted to skip the last class. Sadly, things happen and we ended up having a pop quiz and the professor didn't let me go. About my outfit, I wanted to wear something a little more dressy to school, but still make it wearable to the event at night. This time, I wore this mullet skirt from Our Prince of Peace ( a Miami brand whom I just did a collaboration with, check out the article at Refinery29)- since the print of this skirt makes such a statement, I went with simple black accessories... and yes, another knotted shirt!. Hola a todas! Esto fue lo que utilicé el martes para ir a la universidad- los martes son mis dÃas infernales en la unÃ, ya que mi horario es de 8am a 10pm, como les he mencionado. Pero tenÃa un evento súper chevere y me iba a fugar de la última clase, razón la cual me quise arreglar un poquito más de lo normal para ir a la uni. Lamentablemente, la profe nos terminó haciendo un quiz sorpresa y no pude ir al evento. En esta ocasión quise usar esta falda asimétrica de "Our Prince of Peace" (marca con la cual hice una colaboración junto a dos blogueras de Miami en Refinery29) Como la falda tiene un print tan llamativo, quise combinarla con una camisa sencilla (si, lo se.. últimamente me ha dado por anudar todas las blusas!), y accesorios negros. Hey girls! How have you been!? This is what I wore to a blogger reunion on Saturday- it's called BloggerBlitz, which is planned by a blogger every time she gets to a new city. We spent the whole rainy afternoon at a restaurant in Miami Beach. The dress code said: casual but fun- so I decided to go with some classics: a white blouse and jeans, but make it fun with a striped headband from "Our Price of Peace") and very delicate accessories like a zodiac sign necklace and tiny rings. Also, I wanted to tell you more about the little necklace I'm wearing, it's my zodiac sign (I'm a scorpio btw)- it's from Maya Brenner and you can actually win one too by clicking here. Hola a todas! ¿Cómo han estado? Este fue el outfit que utilicé el sábado para ir a una reunión de blogueras en Miami llamada BloggerBlitz- una bloquear las planea cada vez que va a viajar a una ciudad nueva de manera que pueda conocer a todos los blogs del área (me encantó la idea). Fuimos a un sitio en Miami Beach y estuvimos toda la tarde compartiendo. Sobre mi outfit: como era en la tarde, querÃa algo cómodo y sencillo- el outfit lo basé alrededor de la cinta del cabello, quise que fuera el centro del outfit y me inspiré en el tÃpico look naútico. También querÃa contarles del pequeño collar que tengo puesto (pueden ver close-ups abajo, es de la marca Maya Brenner)), es de mi signo zodiacal... pero es tan delicado que me encanta- las invito a todas a participar para ganar el collar con tu signo AQUI.

I have to admit that I have a couple of outfits ready to go (but I can't publish them until they are featured in a super cool website, so excited about that! and I'm still not sure when it's going to be up). So for now, I wanted to show you these pics from a photoshoot I did with Furor Moda a couple of weeks ago- specially because I loved this outfit and the background we chose for it. I also wanted to invite all of the Miami/South Florida girls to a fashion show Furor Moda is having next week (Tati is trying to make me model, but I don't know! I'm definitely not a model). Les tengo que admitir que tengo varios outfits acumulados que no puedo publicar (ya que van a salir en una página de moda bastante conocida... **que emoción** y todavÃa no se cuando va a salir). Asà que por ahora comparto más fotitos de mi sesión de fotos con Furor Moda de hace unas semanas- especialmente me encantaron estas fotos y estoy enamorada de esta falda larga tribal.
