After getting my shoes dirty yesterday, I came back home to take a quick shower and changed  clothes. I love the romantic feeling of this outfit because of the pears and the lace. Also, I wanted to keep the look simple- so I put my hair up in a bun (which was a great idea, it was extremely hot!). We headed to a friend's birthday party ( it was supposed to be a surprise party, but as all surprise parties.. he knew). I had a lot of fun specially because I haven't seen my friends in a while ( I was in Venezuela the past month). Después de ensuciarme los zapatos en el desastre de sesión de fotos de ayer, regresé a la casa a cambiarme urgentemente. Me encanta lo romántico que es este outfit gracias al encaje y a las perlas- no quería sobrecargar el collar y para mantener el lok más simple decidí amarrarme el cabello en un moño alto (buena decisión por el calor!).  De ahí fuimos a buscar a varios amigos y nos fuimos al cumpleaños de otro- estuvimos ahí toda la noche y la pase especialmente bien porque tenía tiempo sin verlos ( estuve en Venezuela casi un mes). Les dejo más fotitos abajo (junto a unos bloopers muerta de la risa). Espero que estén descansando y disfrutando del domingo. Un abrazo!

Not sure if you knew, but Miami is a swamp- it's only a couple of feet over sea-level (reason why you can feel the humidity coming out of the ground when it's hot). After we ate ice-cream in the afternoon, we wanted to take some pics- the adventurous me decided to "change the scenary" so I headed to the side of road. I had no idea I was going to end up buried in dirt (yes I know, my poor shoes!). However, it was a fun experience- I laughed so hard. I'm wearing the simple H&M dress I got yesterday, I love that it's a lot longer in the back; I added the belt so my waist wouldn't get lost in so much fabric. Finally, I decided to wear the scarf because I felt the outfit needed a little color ( I was originally going to wear it as a turband but it was impossible with the clip-on bangs).  I'm going to a friend's birthday party soon, I'll take more pics! No se si lo sabían, pero Miami es un pantano- esta a tan pocos metros del mar que puedes sentir como el agua sale de la tierra cuando hace calor. Hoy fuimos a una calle a tomar las fotos del outfit del día cuando me dió por querer tomar fotos en la parte de las matas; a mi sorpresa, la tierra era LODO y quede enterrada (por eso ven las plataformas llenas de tierra). Les puedo decir que fue toda una experiencia, un poco peligroso pero estaba muerta de la risa. Antes de eso, fuimos a comer helados- dentro de un ratito voy a un cumpleaños, me tuve que cambiar porque llegue a lavar los zapatos y parte del vestido. El vestido lo compré ayer en H&M, me gustó porque es super ligero y asimétrico de largo- le agregué la correa para no perder la cintura en lo ancho del mismo. Finalmente quise agregarle un poco de color con la bufanda- originalmente me la quería poner como turband pero no podía con la pollina/flequillo. Tomaré más fotitos y las publico mañana. Remember I told you last week that I went to a small market of Venezuelan designers? As soon as I saw this ED'A skirt, I felt in love- the color, the length, the model...Reason why I bought it without thinking it twice and I'm so proud to say it is 100% made in Venezuela. I know you are going to see it a lot because I have a lot of outfits with this skirt in mind. I decided to paired it with neutrals to tone down the neon and my floral platforms. About my day: I decided to drive to the closest H&M (which is 1.5 hrs away- it was more like a road-trip); however, I was a little disappoint because I only found a shirt and a beach bag. Also, I headed to Zara- the prices were incredible! I came back home at night very tired and I just wanted to upload the pics ( I felt like I haven't updated the blog in a while, but it was just one day!). I hope you have a great weekend! XOXO


¿Se acuerdan el fin de semana pasado que les dije que fui a un mercado de diseñadores emergentes venezolanos? Apenas vi esta falda de ED'A... me enamoré- el color, el modelo... todo me fascinó. Razón por la cual me la llevé sin pensarlo dos veces- y me alegra compartir con ustedes que es 100% hecha en Venezuela (si quieren saber más info, agreguen a Enrique D'Armas en Facebook). Estoy segura que la van a ver muchísimo porque tengo muchas combinaciones en mente (ojalá y el diseñador se anime a hacer una rifa, no les parece!?).  Decidí combinarla con una camiseta blanca sencilla, la fedora, y mis plataformas de flores. Sobre mi día: decidí ir a H&M pero queda a una hora y media de Miami- así que fue manejar bastante. Sinceramente, solo encontré una camisita de rayas y un bolso de playa. También aproveché para entrar a Zara que los precios están increíbles.  Regresé a mi casa cansadísima y quise subir las fotos inmediatamente porque sentí que las tengo abandonadas- aunque solo estuve un día sin publicar nada. A couple of days ago, Ashley (from Ashe's into Fashion) did a tag called "dress like your favorite fashion blogger"; not only she invites everyone to participate, but she also featured me (she looks amazing, and I love that she gave it her own twist to it). As you can see at the end of this post, I took inspiration from Alexandra (lovely Pepa), I really liked how the navy bird dress looks against the bright pink blazer. This GoJane dress arrived in Miami last week  (but I couldn't wear it until today because I was in Venezuela), and it was such a coincidence when I saw Alexandra was wearing a similar dress.  I think it's so versatile and chic. BTW, I'm back in Miami- I spent three weeks in Caracas and I had a great time, but I'm glad to be home. It was very rainy and we could only take a couple of pics. Hace unos días, la linda de Ashley (Ashe's into Fashion) hizo un tag llamado "vístete con tu blogera de moda favorita" y no solo nos invita a todas a participar, si no que también su outfit fue inspirado en uno de mis outfits (GRACIAS ASHLEY!!). Como van a poder ver al final de las fotos, tomé inspiración de un outfit que puso Alexandra de Lovely Pepa hace unos días- también quise darle mi toque personal cambiando algunas piezas. El vestido de pajaritos lo recibí hace unos días, es de GoJane y tengo muchísimas ideas de como utilizarlo- me encanta el azul marino y el estampado me parece super chic. Quería contarles que ya estoy en Miami, regresé ayer martes y este outfit lo utilicé para ir a comer con mi novio- estaba antojadísima del sushi de nuestro restaurante favorito. El día estaba extremadamente lluvioso, tenía la esperanza de que escampara un poco para poder tomar más fotos pero naaada... Espero que les haya gustado y participen en el tag! This week's challenge was to take over somebody else's closet- I was super excited about it because I'm in Venezuela at my parent's house. Since I was little, I loved stealing my mom's makeup and clothing. I'm so glad that we can share almost everything. For this challenge, I'm wearing her shoes, jeans, bag, watches (yes, plural), bracelet, earrings, belt, and lipstick. The jeans were a little big for me but the belt helped A LOT. About my day: my family and I ate thai food for lunch and then I got ready to go a local market with a couple of friends- at the market, venezuelan designers can showcase their products. It was super fun, I got a beautiful and bright skirt that I can't wait to wear it. After that, we went to a coffee place and we stayed there for hours and hours. El reto de esta semana era atacar el closet de otra persona- me encantaba la idea porque estoy en Venezuela en la casa de mis papás. Desde que era chiquita, me encantaba entrar al closet de mi mamá y pasaba horas probándome todo (hacía desastres). Menos mal que ahora somos la misma talla y podemos compartir casi todo. Para este reto estoy utilizando sus zapatos, jeans, cartera, relojes (si, en plural), pulsera, aretes, correa, y pintura de labios. Los jeans me quedaban un poco grandes pero el cinturón ayudo muchísimo. Sobre mi día: comí con mi familia comida thai y luego me arreglé para ir a un mercado de diseño con un grupo de amigas- en estos mercados puedes encontrar cosas de diseñadores emergentes venezolanos. La pasé super y me compré una falda espectacular, ya se las quiero mostrar. Después de eso nos fuimos a un café y estuvimos horas y horas hablando. ¿Cómo estuvo tu fin de semana? ¿Atacaste el closet de otra persona? No olvides dejar el enlace....
