I love the idea of adding a bit of Holiday sparkle throughout the season- and beyond, because who said sequins are only for the Holidays?
This Holiday season I wanted to add a sequin midi skirt to my wardrobe. Yes, it is a statement piece BUT it is also extremely versatile - and I’m ALL about versatility. I have a feeling that this skirt will come handy year after year. This one is from Halogen, from Nordstrom- it also comes in blue, gold, and black sequins. I actually was super indecisive - especially because the blue one is GORGEOUS.
Since I like mixing dressier items with casual items. I decided to pair the sequin skirt with a gray crop-top sweater from Topshop. It really balances the sparkle of the skirt, it makes the look more comfortable, AND it is still super cute and dressy for any HOLIDAY PARTY.
Then walking around Nordstrom, I saw this gorgeous pink feathered bag and I knew it had to be mine. I’ve worn it twice already and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. It’s the perfect size to fit exactly what you need, and it works from day to night. I wore it with jeans and it was definitely the perfect touch to a casual look too.
The final stop was the GIFT section at the store. Nordstrom has great holiday gift guides for inspiration on what to get anyone in your life. Here are some last-minute gift ideas:
I was looking for a few things for my cousins and sisters in law. And again, I got distracted with these earrings and headband- they are such perfect gifts I ended up getting them from me lol- don’t blame me! The headband is BaubleBar I love it in black but with my dark hair, the pink one popped better! And these star earrings are EVERYTHING AND MORE!

Every year I sit down and I write my New Year's Resolutions. Besides including the basics (eating better and exercising more), I always add trying new fashion and beauty trends. As I like to say, fashion is supposed to be fun...it's not about following trends but having fun with those you like. Think of the new year as a chance for a NEW YOU. Dare to be different, dare to express who you are through clothes, and dare to go after your dreams while looking extra stylish.
Today I'm going to talk about 8 fashion trends that you should give it a try in 2016. I made sure that all the items in the "shop the look" section were under $150 (trying to keep it as affordable as possible!). Let me know which one is your favorite (or if I missed your favorite) and how would you wear it!

FELIZ SEMANA!
What's "I challenge you to..."? It's bi-weekly special where we (Flor de Maria Fashion, Ashes into Fashion and I) challenge our readers and bloggers around the globe to wear specific trends or themes- and we would love if you could join us. Every other Monday, we'll publish the the challenge, so you have two weeks to plan your outfit and wear it. Then, that following Sunday: we'll show you how we wore the trend/theme and you'll be able to share your link & outfit with everyone.
This time we challenge you...to wear sequins during the spring-time. Regularly, when I think of sequins... I think about the Holiday season. Reason why this is definitely a challenge for me! ARE YOU READY!!?

I love dressing up, even if it's just to go out with my boyfriend to have dinner. This time I really wanted to wear this red blouse with sequined collar; I paired it with my favorite black skirt (I already posted a remix with all the ways I've worn this skirt). I added the sheer black tights because I feel that the skirt looks too short with heels. BTW come back tomorrow, I have a fun giveaway to do! Have an amazing weekend! XOXO! Thanks for stopping by!

This was actually the 1st pictures we took in Miami after my holiday trip to Venezuela and Europe- my bf got upset because I kept complaining on the picture quality (if you look closely, the are not as sharp as the rest of the posts). After changing the lens many times, we realized something was wrong with his camera and he sent it to Canon so they can fix it. Reason why we have been taking them lately with my camera (which I LOVE and a lot people ask me what model it is- Canon Rebel T3i and I use the 50 mm 1.8F lens for those wondering :) ) Back to the outfit, I had been waiting for this bag for a couple of weeks and I was so excited when it got home that I couldn't wait to wear it- it's the perfect size/shape.. and I adore the sequins). This time I paired with simple pieces that equal a super glam outfit and I really like that it is a versatile look that you can wear to a lot of different occasions (like going out with your friends, change the leather pants for black business pants and you are ready to work). I actually wore it to go out with my boyfriend and have sushi (it's like our thing, we are addicted to it). Finally I just wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog- don't forget to leave your comment ( I love reading what you liked, what you didn't like, what you would change, how much you wear X piece). XOXO

Even though I have a couple of pics to post from this week- I couldn't wait and I really wanted to show you the pics from my bday party yesterday. As I told you previously, I love themed parties- specially on my bday because people are more prone to get dress up. Also, I love the 80s; I was born in 1988 so I don't remember absolutely anything from that decade- but I love the tackiness of the time; the big hair, colorful makeup, over-the-top clothing. About 90% of my friends dressed up, and it was so cool to see a lot of characters from the 80s: the Madonna, the Miami Vice duo, the Jane Fonda crew with their exercise gear, a rapper, etc. I had so much fun and I hope you enjoy the pics below! About my outfit: the past two weeks were so hectic that I wasn't able to get my "costume" until the day of the party. I went to my favorite thrift store and found this amazing (never worn) jacket for $30- it's gorgeous, and so heavy because of the sequins. And I also found these pointed shoes (very 80s) for $3 and they were in perfect condition! Finally, I added some clip ons from that time (originally my mom's) and a tight dress from forever 21 that I got years ago. Did you like it? XOXO
