SHOPPING THE SALES WISELY with Nordstrom

Thursday, January 23, 2020

This post is sponsored by Nordstrom and ShopStyle

Fashion-wise, my biggest resolution for 2020 is to shop smart! My #1 rule used to be “Don’t buy it unless you can picture 3 ways wearing that item”. Well, from now on, I’ve increased the 3 ways to 5 ways…YES FIVE!

So I believe in investing in high-quality pieces that are trendy but you can update season after season. Reason why, Nordstrom is my go-to for shopping! The quality is amazing, there is great variety of items and brands….and when there are sales (like RIGHT NOW), I have to stop-by!

Let me show you what I got:
The first piece was this leather jacket that was 40% off. I’ve been looking for a faux-leather jacket like this one for YEARS. This one from Topshop fit is incredible, it feels very luxe, and I know I’m going to wear it non-stop! Better news: it also comes in PETITE!

Then I saw this easy-to-wear NEW YORK graphic tee (similar HERE), under $15!! I love simple oversized tee and I wear them with anything and everything.

This time I wanted to pair it with the sequins skirt from Halogen that I got last month- which BTW, if you didn’t get it in December, it is now 40% off (such an amazing deal and it comes in black, gold and blue!). TIP: size down since it runs a tiny bit big!

Then going through a different rack, I saw this brick orange jumpsuit from Topshop and I loved it because it is different from anything I own. It is supposed to be cropped, but hey petite over here! It just sold out but here is a cute short skirt version, I personally LOVE the pink corduroy one.

I played with the fall tones and I added a Burgundy hat and a green velvet bag that is under $50!

I also got a few pieces for my little boy and a new leggings + sports bra set, but more on that later!

Which look was your favorite?
Head out to Nordstrom to see more of the amazing pieces on sale!

HOLIDAY SPARKLE with Nordstrom

Thursday, December 19, 2019

This post is sponsored by Nordstrom and ShopStyle

I love the idea of adding a bit of Holiday sparkle throughout the season- and beyond, because who said sequins are only for the Holidays?

This Holiday season I wanted to add a sequin midi skirt to my wardrobe. Yes, it is a statement piece BUT it is also extremely versatile - and I’m ALL about versatility. I have a feeling that this skirt will come handy year after year. This one is from Halogen, from Nordstrom- it also comes in blue, gold, and black sequins. I actually was super indecisive - especially because the blue one is GORGEOUS.

Since I like mixing dressier items with casual items. I decided to pair the sequin skirt with a gray crop-top sweater from Topshop. It really balances the sparkle of the skirt, it makes the look more comfortable, AND it is still super cute and dressy for any HOLIDAY PARTY.

Then walking around Nordstrom, I saw this gorgeous pink feathered bag and I knew it had to be mine. I’ve worn it twice already and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. It’s the perfect size to fit exactly what you need, and it works from day to night. I wore it with jeans and it was definitely the perfect touch to a casual look too.

The final stop was the GIFT section at the store. Nordstrom has great holiday gift guides for inspiration on what to get anyone in your life. Here are some last-minute gift ideas:

I was looking for a few things for my cousins and sisters in law. And again, I got distracted with these earrings and headband- they are such perfect gifts I ended up getting them from me lol- don’t blame me! The headband is BaubleBar I love it in black but with my dark hair, the pink one popped better! And these star earrings are EVERYTHING AND MORE!

New Years Eve 2013

Thursday, January 2, 2014

Hey everyone..here's the first post of the year! I wasn't sure if I should post the looks from the cruise first; but I think it would be weird to post the New Years Eve look by mid January. That day we got off the cruise by noon; we rushed to Caracas to wash our clothes and then drive a couple of hours more to Valencia...where we have a gorgeous country-side house. I think I got ready too late because when I looked at the clock, it was almost midnight. Even though we were exhausted due all the traveling, we had a lot of fun with the family. I think NYE is the perfect day to wear sequins, I chose this beautiful skirt from Nabel Martins and I paired it with a cool crop top from Furor Moda. I kept the accessories to the minimum to let the skirt shine. At first I thought the skirt was a little long for me but then I was checking Instagram and I saw Anna Dello Russo posted some of her favorite looks of 2013 and there it was... a similar skirt and as long as this one, and it looked amazing (especially when you walk). I hope you had an amazing New Years Eve and that 2014 is treating you well so far... I have a feeling that it's going to be an amazing year.

Again... HAPPY 2014 everyone! Love you all!

______

L@s quiero mucho!

Sequins and denim .. & PRE MIAMI SWIM WEEK #PeroniStyle

Thursday, July 18, 2013

FUROR MODA sequin skirt (c/o)
JULIANNE HOUGH FOR SOLE SOCIETY
black heels (c/o)
SPIN GALLERY denim shirt
CHANEL bag
Bracelets: Michael Kors, Prima Donna, Jeweliq & vintage.

And I guess you can say that the parties for "Mercedes Benz Miami Swim Week" just started- even though the official runway shows start on Friday. I want to show you my looks and pics of the shows/events the day after. I really want to stay relevant to all the cool things that are happening right now...so stay tuned :) The last few weeks have been raining non-stop- which sucks since most of the parties are out-doors...like yesterday, they had to change the runway to an indoor place last-minute. But it was fun...nine designers from the fashion school I just graduated presented their designs and one won!! Then I headed with a group of awesome Miami bloggers to a photo-booth to take pics!

About my outfit: I wanted to wear sequins with denim since forever...but I never found the right skirt (all were too shiny or too tight). This one from Furor Moda is perfect, it's comfortable and the sequins are the exact color I wanted. I paired the skirt with a denim shirt to dress it down and some awesome black heels  by Julianne Hough for Sole Society. Hope you like the pics and don't forget to follow me on Instagram/Twitter (as @nanysklozet) to see all the Swim Week adventures! XOXO

_______

Abrazos grandotote!
