As soon as I saw this skirt at ASOS.com, I was in love- I absolutely love mermaid gowns, so it's perfect to have a skirt with a similar silhouette that I can wear on my everyday. However, this skirt can also look very very dressy- reason why I paired it with a simple gray tee with a fun message. As you might know by know, I love adding statement necklaces to tees and this one from Jewel Be Mine was perfect since it had blue and pink tones. I wore this a couple of days ago to have dinner with Gabo. I hope you liked it and I wish you an amazing weekend!! XOXO

Apenas và esta falda en la página de ASOS, me enamoré- toda la vida me han encantado las colas de sirena y esta versión en mini falda es perfecta para el dÃa a dÃa. Como es una falda que puede verse bastante formal dependiendo de como la combine, quise agregar una camiseta sencilla gris. Como se han dado cuenta en ocasiones anteriores, me gusta agregar collares llamativos a las camisetas; y este JEWEL BE MINE me gustó para el look porque tenÃa tonos azules y rosados como la cartera. Esto lo utilicé para ir a cenar con Gabo hace unos dÃas. ¡Espero que les haya gustado! ¡Y les deseo un fin de semana espectacular!!

I was going to start writing about my look and I realized that it has been a while since I post something that close to when I actually wore it. Generally, I try to have looks ready one week in advance because I like knowing that the blog will be updated every day. However, I wore this yesterday night to go to a typical dinner&movies date with Gabo. We watched "Monsters University"- I personally love Pixar movies and this one was not an exception. It was super cute and funny. I really wanted to dress up a little with some floral pants- which are light and perfect for this summer weather. I paired them with a black top with a sheer detail, caged sandals, and a pop of color with a pink bag. Hope you are having an amazing weekend! XOXO

Iba a empezar a escribirles de mi look que me di cuenta que tenÃa mucho tiempo sin estar preparada con looks. Generalmente tengo looks de al menos una semana antes de publicarlos, pero esto lo utilicé ayer Viernes. Fue un dÃa de tÃpica cita: cena y pelÃculas; fuimos a ver "Monsters University"- a mi me encantan las pelÃculas de Pixar y está no fue la excepción. Para la ocasión quise utilizar estos pantalones de flores- que por su tela ligera y ser anchitos, son perfectos para este calor. Los quise combinar con una camisa negra con un detalle de transparencia, detalles dorados, y un toque de color con una cartera rosada. ¡Espero que estén pasando un fin de semana lindÃsimo! Un abrazotote!
You know how much I love versatile clothing, but lately I've been drawn to riskier pieces- like this fun floral blazer! They might be harder to "remix" but they challenge me to be a little more creative. Since the blazer is such an statement, I kept the look simple with a leather short, a white top, and a pop of color in the bag. I didn't even want to add a lot of accessories; the sunglasses and the cocktail ring were more than enough. Talking about my sunglasses: aren't they amazing? They look just like the Prada "Baroque" minus the price tag of $290 - these only cost $15, and if you are like me (I'm always loosing or scratching my sunnies)...they are the perfect mix of trendy and affordability **Head over to Furor Moda to check them out, they also have it in red, navy and purple**. Back to my day: this is what I wore to Flor and Carmen's fashion seminar- it was amazing, I'm so proud of them! Ustedes saben lo mucho que me gusta la ropa versátil, pero últimamente quiero agregar a mi closet que aunque sean piezas más difÃciles de combinar, me obligan a ser más creativa- como este blazer de flores. Como el centro de atención de este look es el blazer, quise mantener el resto del look extremadamente simple- casi ni llevo accesorios, solo un anillo y los lentes de sol. Hablando de los lentes, ¿no están espectaculares? Son idénticos a los de Prada de $290 pero por solo $15- y si eres como yo, que siempre pierdo o rayo los lentes... es la mezcla perfecta entre chic y económico. **Pasa por Furor Moda para verlos; también los tienen en rojo, azul marino, y morado** Sobre mi dÃa: esto fue lo que utilicé para ir al seminario de moda de Carmen y Flor- estoy tan orgullosa de ellas. Van a hacer varios seminarios por el paÃs- tal vez sea la invitada especial en alguno, ya les contaré. Espero que les haya gustado este look floreado y MIL gracias por sus comentarios!

This is my last post from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week- even though it was amazing, I'm glad to go back to my fashion classes and just cuddling with my doggie Chiki. The non-stopping rain stopped me from going to a couple of shows on Sunday but I decided to put my hair up and head out to the launch of Vogue Brasil magazine. It was still so hot outside during the night that I decided to wear a little black dress with a cool open back- to finish the look, I added some color blocking sandals that I got last year and a little pops of color with the pink bag and the orange lipstick. There we met my Swim Week partner-in-crime, Steffy and her boyfriend. I also got to hang out with some friends from college I haven't seen in ages. I hope you liked this look! Thanks for stopping by! Este es el último artÃculo de La Semana de la Moda de Mercedes Benz en Miami- aunque fue increÃble, estoy feliz de regresar a mi vida normal.... full de clases y descansando con mi perrito Chiki. El domingo estuvo lloviendo muchÃsimo, razón por la que me perdà un par de desfiles pero quise ir a la fiesta del lanzamiento de la revista Vogue Brasil en Miami. Ya que todavÃa hacÃa mucha humedad y calor, me recogà el cabello y quise usar un vestido vamporoso con la espalda al aire. Para terminar el look, desempolvé estas sandalias de Zara (del año pasado) y agregué otros toquecitos de color en la cartera y con el labial. En la fiesta nos encontramos con compañera de Swim Week, Steffy, y su novio- de casualidad, también me encontré a unos amigos de la universidad que tenÃa años sin ver. ¡Espero que les haya gustado este look! ¡Un abrazo grandÃsimo!
Hi everyone! How are you!? This looks kind of reminds me to my friend and blogger Steffy (de Steffy Pros and Cons)- if you follow her blog, you know her cute vintage style includes lots of polka dots, button ups, and bows. I really like following blogs that are not necessarily my style because they inspire me to try different combos while giving the look my own twist and style. This week has not been my week- my car broke down while taking my computer to apple (the hard-drive failed- I still don't know if I lost everything that was in it!); so for a couple of days I had no car... and no computer! (quick reminder: back up all your files...often!!). I'm almost on finals week at the university, so I have been working on projects non-stop- I'm specially proud of a "college magazine" I'm doing for my magazines class. Have an amazing Friday! Hola! ¿Cómo están? Este look me recuerda un poco a mi amiga y bloguera Steffy (de Steffy Pros and Cons)- si siguen su blog saben que su estilo vintage incluye muchos lunares, camisas abotonadas, y lazos; las invito a que vean su blog también! Me gusta seguir a bastantes blog que no son totalmente mi estilo porque me dan inspiración a tratar diferentes tendencias pero dándole mi toque personal. Esta semana no ha sido mi semana; tuve que dejar el carro en el taller ya que me falló mientras llevaba a mi computadora a arreglar (le falló el disco duro, y todavÃa no se si perdà toda la información!). Asà que les recuerdo, guarden todo en una memoria aparte para que no les pase nada asÃ! Estoy en las últimas semanas del semestre en la unà y no he parado con los millones de proyectos- estoy especialmente orgullosa de mi "revista" en la clase de Fashion Magazines. FELIZ VIERNES! Se que siempre les doy las gracias..pero es que de verdad les agradezco mucho que visiten mi blog!
Tropical prints were all over the Spring/Summer 2012 runways- and I love them, it's a fun twist of the regular floral prints. As soon as I saw this one from LOVE .. I loved it (yes double love!)- since it's such a big statement, I kept the accessories to the minimal. I just added a pop of color with the bag, but since it's such a small purse, it really doesn't take away from the dress. As you have seen on the blog, I love wearing my classic black pumps; but I feel they can look too dressy. Reason why I got these wedges at Payless they are more casual, and SO comfortable (best part, they cost less than $30). I wore this on Friday to go to a salad/wrap restaurant, nothing special- we just wanted to go out and eat healthy. After that I headed to the mall to find neon accessories- I'm so excited because next week I'm doing my first official photo shoot as a stylist and the theme is neons! Los estampados tropicales fueron vistos en muchÃsimas pasarelas en la temporada Primavera-Verano 2012- a mi personalmente me encantan ya que no es el tÃpico estampado floral/primaveral... y este vestido de LOVE me fascinó!. Mi consejo es mantener los accesorios al mÃnimo, apenas estoy usando dos pulseritas delgadas y mis perlas de accesorio. Como han visto, utilizo mucho mis tacones negros- razón por la cual querÃa una versión más casual para todos los dÃas, por lo que finalmente encontré este par en Payless la semana pasada (les juro que son comodÃsimas, y solo cuestan $30!). Esto fue lo que utilicé el viernes para ir a comer con Gabo a un sitio de wraps, nada del otro mundo- querÃamos algo súper saludable. Después fui a dar una vuelta al centro comercial porque ando buscando accesorios neones para una sesión de fotos en la que soy la estilista! Espero que estén pasando un fin de semana lindÃsimo! After days and days of unstoppable rain (it got so crazy that you couldn't even drive where I live because of the water on the streets)... the sun was finally out, which means crazy heat and humidity. Reason why I wanted to wear my favorite skirt: it's not only gorgeous with the prettiest coral color, it's also very flawy and light (perfect for this weather). Even though it's already sold out at 2020ave, I left a link below with different stores that have similar styles. I wore this yesterday to visit my friend and owner of Furor Moda, Tatiana- we spent hours and hours talking and playing with clothes, as usual. Oh by the way, the star you see in the pic is not a real tattoo, it's a temporary one from Inkwear. Years ago I wanted a star there, but A LOT smaller- but I never got it because I always change my mind... reason why it's better to play with this temporal tattoos. Do you have any tattoos? Después de dÃas y dÃas de lluvia (tanto asà que por donde vivo, las calles se inundaron tanto que no se podÃa manejar)... salió el sol, y con él vino una humedad y calor increÃble. Razón por la cual decidà usar mi falda favorita- que aparte de tener un color espectacular, es vaporosa para este calorón (aunque esta agotada en 2020ave, les deje una página con muchas faldas similares abajo). Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a visitar a Tati de Furor Moda ayer- estuvimos hablando por horas y horas, sobre todo planeando algunas cositas y más. Por cierto, el "tatuaje" de estrellita que tengo en la mano no es de verdad- es de una página llamada Inkwearque tienen muchÃsimos tatuajes temporales (duran entre 3 y 5 dÃas). Hace años querÃa una estrella en la muñeca, pero MUCHO más chiquita- nunca me hice ningún tatuaje porque soy muy indecisa, por eso me gusto la idea de jugar con estos temporales. ¿Tienen algún tatuaje? ¿O te harÃas uno? As soon as I saw this shirt at 2020Ave, I felt in love with it- I want it in pink too! The shoulder detail is so trendy and it gives a twist any classic blouse. Just in case you are crafty, here's a fun DIY- it looks very easy but I'm scared I'll mess up any blouse (maybe I'll try it with a $3 thrifted shirt). Since Miami is already so hot, I paired it with high waisted shorts and some sky-high platforms (I have to admit I re-wore this with flared jeans to school on Monday). I wore this on Saturday to have lunch at "La Carreta": a well-know cuban restaurant chain. After that, I headed to my boyfriend's house to watch the "Mayweather and Cotto" fight (I'm not into sports... and even less into fighting; but my boyfriend gets patriotic every time a puertorican is fighting). I still don't get what was Justin Bieber doing at that fight... whatever! Have an amazing friday and weekend! XOXO

Apenas vi esta camisa en 2020Ave, me fascinó- les juro que la quiero en más colores. El detalle de los hombros hace que sea una versión más moderna de la tÃpica blusa; encontré este DIY en dado caso que seas buena con las manualidades y quieras hacer tu propia camisa con los hombros al aire, se ve tan sencillo que creo que lo voy a intentar con una blusa de segunda mano. Como Miami está infernal, lo combiné con unos shorts y unas plataformas; pero tengo que admitir que también la utilicé el lunes para ir a clases con unos jeans acampanados. Esto lo utilicé el sábado pasado para ir a comer en "la Carreta"; una cadena de restaurantes cubanos bastante conocido en Miami. Después de eso, fui a casa de mi novio a ver una pelea de boxeo (personalmente no me gusta pero un puertorriqueño estaba peleando, y aparentemente eso le saca el lado patriótico a Gabo). Por cierto, si alguna la vio... me pueden explicar que carrizo hacÃa Justin Bieber ahÃ. Bueno eso era todo por hoy! FELIZ VIERNES Y FIN DE SEMANA!
