Remixes might go through a little makeover next week- it's a different idea but with the same concept of rewearing and always buying versatile clothing (I really hope you like it). Okay back to today's remix.... by now you must know how much I adore this skirt: the movement, the color, how light it is, the slits..everything! As you can see; I've pair it with white and cream, with crochet, floral print, and subtle colorblocking. I still want to wear it with a simple black cropped top for a night out and during the day with a denim top (probably the knotted one I have). What do you think of these looks? Creo que los "Remixes" van a pasar por una pequeña transformación la próxima semana- es una idea diferente pero con el mismo concepto de aprovechar tu ropa al máximo (Ojalá les guste). Pero volviendo al remix de hoy....creo que deben saber lo mucho que me encanta esta falda: es ligera, cómoda, tiene movimiento, y es de un color espectacular! Como pueden ver, la he combinado con blancos y cremas, con un poco de color en el de la camisa amarilla con el collar rosado, y con el estampado de flores. TodavÃa tengo planeado usarla con un top cortito negro para un evento de noche, y también se pudiese usar con mi camisa de denim. ¿Qué opinas de estos looks? ¿Cuál es tu favorito?
My day started doing a midterm project for Fashion School- it was about streetstyle trends and I had to take pictures and group the trends together. Gladly, I was in New York and it was probably a lot easier there (special thanks to Ashley because she helped me SO much- we literally were walking like crazy around the city and asking people if we could take their picture). It was so much fun that I'm even thinking in doing a section in streetstyle, I'll share the pictures and you tell me if you like the idea. I wore this to the BlogHer conference, and changed to flats while walking around the city...and back to heels to eat with the girls at a Mexican restaurant. Saturday was an extremely hot day, I wanted to wear jeans but it was impossible. So I went for my favorite maxi skirt and added a crochet top (it actually has some fringes but it looks more polished tucked in). I hope you liked this look! XOXO

Mi dÃa empezó haciendo un trabajo para la universidad- era tomarle fotos a las tendencias que veÃamos en la calle, asà que fue perfecto que estuviera en Nueva York. Ashley me ayudó y estuvimos molestando a la gente en todos lados. Tomé fotos lindÃsimas de gente en la calle, el jueves les muestro las fotos y ustedes me dices si quieren convertirlo en una sección en el blog. También fui a la conferencia de BlogHer y estuve compartiendo con Ashley, Amanda y Camilla. Después en la noche fuimos a comer en un restaurante mexicano y la pasamos genial. El sábado fue otro dÃa extremadamente caliente en calor- tenÃa pensado ponerme unos jeans pero me hubiera derretido. Asà que opté por mi maxi falda favorita y un top de crochet extremadamente fresco (originalmente tiene unos flecos que escondà con la falda pero ya veran que se pueden ver totalmente distinto); unas plataformas para la conferencia/cena y luego unos flats foraditos para caminar por Nueva York. Espero que les haya gustado este look! Abrazos grandÃsimos a todos!
After days and days of unstoppable rain (it got so crazy that you couldn't even drive where I live because of the water on the streets)... the sun was finally out, which means crazy heat and humidity. Reason why I wanted to wear my favorite skirt: it's not only gorgeous with the prettiest coral color, it's also very flawy and light (perfect for this weather). Even though it's already sold out at 2020ave, I left a link below with different stores that have similar styles. I wore this yesterday to visit my friend and owner of Furor Moda, Tatiana- we spent hours and hours talking and playing with clothes, as usual. Oh by the way, the star you see in the pic is not a real tattoo, it's a temporary one from Inkwear. Years ago I wanted a star there, but A LOT smaller- but I never got it because I always change my mind... reason why it's better to play with this temporal tattoos. Do you have any tattoos? Después de dÃas y dÃas de lluvia (tanto asà que por donde vivo, las calles se inundaron tanto que no se podÃa manejar)... salió el sol, y con él vino una humedad y calor increÃble. Razón por la cual decidà usar mi falda favorita- que aparte de tener un color espectacular, es vaporosa para este calorón (aunque esta agotada en 2020ave, les deje una página con muchas faldas similares abajo). Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a visitar a Tati de Furor Moda ayer- estuvimos hablando por horas y horas, sobre todo planeando algunas cositas y más. Por cierto, el "tatuaje" de estrellita que tengo en la mano no es de verdad- es de una página llamada Inkwearque tienen muchÃsimos tatuajes temporales (duran entre 3 y 5 dÃas). Hace años querÃa una estrella en la muñeca, pero MUCHO más chiquita- nunca me hice ningún tatuaje porque soy muy indecisa, por eso me gusto la idea de jugar con estos temporales. ¿Tienen algún tatuaje? ¿O te harÃas uno? After months of looking, I found the perfect pleated leather skirt for a reasonable price ($65 at Storets).. and as you can see, I haven't stopped wearing it (from floral prints, to the classic black and white.... with colorful wedges or chunky booties). HabÃa estado buscando esta falda de pliegues de "cuero" por meses, y fue hace poco que la encontré a un precio razonable; y como pueden ver, no he dejado de usarla. La he usado con estampados de flores, camiseta roquera, blusas femeninas y más. Cuéntame qué look es tu favorito y como la usarÃas tu!
This week was CRAZY- it started with classes the whole day on Monday and Tuesday.. and then I spent the next three days at the Hispanicize conference (where I was a speaker on Friday on a panel about fashion). I was so happy to be able to spend time with bloggers-who-have-became-friends, learn on the sessions, and meet different brands to talk about future projects. Even though, these are pics from Wednesday night, I really want to share pics from the day too (I wore a very comfy and colorful outfit). That day, I ran to the conference and forgot a couple of things for my night-look... so I ended up borrowing Flor's clothing (except the skirt!). I wore this to a McDonalds yacht party, which was amazing; the boat was huge, there was food/drinks/music, we enjoyed the gorgeous Miami skyline and I had so much fun with the lovely lor de Maria Fashion & Mercedes from BeChicMag. Esta semana fue totalmente agotadora- tuve clases todo el lunes y martes... y el miércoles empezó la conferencia Hispanicize (el la cual fui hablante el viernes en un panel de moda, luego les contaré más). El miércoles fue el primer dÃa de la conferencia y fue súper emocionante compartir con blogueras (que ya son más que blogueras, son amigas), aprender en los paneles, y reuniremos con diferentes marcas para futuros proyectos. También quiero compartir fotos de mi primer outfit este miércoles, fui muy cómoda- y tenÃa tantas cosas encima que apenas pude meter en mi cartera dos tonterÃas para la noche. Por lo cual terminé robándole a Flor mucha ropa (incluyendo la camisa, accesorios, y zapatos). Fuimos a una fiesta de McDonalds en un yate espectacular, el cual paseó por la bahÃa y pude tomar unas fotos lindÃsimas de la vista de Miami. HabÃa música, comida y cocktails...pero la mejor parte fue pasarla con mis queridÃsimas Flor de Maria Fashion y Mercedes de BeChicMag. Espero que les gusten las fotos!
