This is my second time wearing this maxi dress as a top...the first one was during Swim Week but I went for leather shorts and a strappy bralette for an edgier feel. Click here to check it out. 

 I definitely have to wear it as an actual dress next time. But there is something about it that feels a little "old"lady, I think it's the neckline. But I'm sure I'll wear it a coverup for the beach! REMIX coming soon!! Actually, more remixes for 2018 FOR SURE!

 This was during our little runaway trip because of the hurricane. We had the best road trip buddies: Alex and Gaby. Best "fashion" part? Because of the small luggage, we got to share clothes. These are Gaby's vintage shorts!

Yo siempre dándole las vueltas a las piezas. Este vestido lo compré hace un par de meses pero solo lo he usado como top ( tal vez lo recuerden durante La Semana Swim en Miami que lo usé con shorts de cuero y un bralette con muchas tiritas). 

Me tengo que poner las pilas y usarlo como un vestido de verdad. Lo que pasa es que como vestido se ve un poco como de "viejita". Pero definitivamente quiero usarlo abierto sobre un traje de baño.

You all know I'm such a fan of the "fishnets under boyfriend jeans" trend.  I know I have been saying I'm going to do an article on how to rock this trend. It's coming soon, I promise.

This option is for the girly girls that maybe are not sure about the fishnets: GO FOR LACE TIGHTS! You are still joining the trend, in a subtler more romantic way.

Let me tell you a story, I got these tights in 2008 while trying to recreate looks from Gossip Girl. Everyone on the show were wearing them (Jenny with a leather jacket and Blair with a silk dress!). Who else is a Gossip Girl fan?  Don't ask me why or how I kept these tights for so long...but the hoarder in me is glad I did!

Si te encanta la tendencia de las medias pantys debajo de los jeans, pero no te convencen las medias de malla...prueba unas de encaje! (Se que todavía les debo el artículo de esta tendencia, por ahí viene se los prometo).

Esta opción le da un toque un poco más romántico a esta tendencia tan edgy.

 Les cuento que estas medias las compré creo que en el 2008 (tratando de recrear looks de Gossip Girl. Creo que este show tuvo una gran influencia en mi interés por la moda. Probablemente quería copiarle el look a Jenny con una chaqueta de cuero o a Blair con un vestido como de seda.

 No me pregunten como ni porque las tuve tanto tiempo en mi closet; pero la acaparadora en mi que no bota nada se siente orgullosa de sacarles provecho casi 10 años después.

Basically all the pieces from this look are remixed. I've had everything for years and years. The poor hat used to be flat, but I guess the felt lost its shape (if you have any tips to fix this...let me know!).

I also need to replace this bag. It's my favorite tote and it's my go-to bag for traveling. It fits my laptop and everything I need when I travel- reason why it has paid its price and more. I really need to invest in a new one. It originally came with a clutch on the front..and I lost it #TypicalNany

Todas las piezas de este look han salido MUCHISIMO en el blog. Creo que todo lo he tenido por al menos dos años. Por ejemplo, este sombrero de ala ancha solía ser plano...pero con los años perdió su forma (si saben de algún tip para arreglarlo, avísenme).

También necesito cambiar esta cartera. Ha sido mi favorita para viajar por años de años- ya que es de esas que le cabe de todo. Solía tener un clutch en la parte de adelante el cual usaba para la noche también, pero admito que lo perdí en un avión y me dí cuenta muy tarde- yo y mi despiste!

I wore this while in New Orleans. We weren't that lucky weather wise, one of the days we had to stay indoors the whole day because of a tornado alert that actually struck some parts of the city...scary!

Esto lo utilicé cuando fuimos a New Orleans hace unas semanas. No tuvimos mucha suerte en cuanto al clima , un día estuvimos todo el tiempo en el airbnb porque hubo alerta de tornado - que toco e hizo daños afuera de la ciudad...¡susto!

This month has not been easy. My husband Gabe broke his leg, and I've had some personal issues that I'll probably share eventually as part of my healing.

But I want to get back on track, and take all of this as inspiration to better myself...I know it won't be easy and that I will have better days than others but I absolutely enjoy sharing little snippets of my life. I love inspiring you somehow...so today I want to take a moment to remind you to always keep going- that yes, we might hide behind pretty pictures but we all go through a lot of crap...and we have to keep going.

Este mes no ha sido el más fácil...mejor dicho ha sido de los más difíciles. Mi esposo se rompió la pierna y yo estoy pasando por algo que eventualmente espero compartir con ustedes.

Pero quiero regresar a la rutina, y tomarme todo esto que ha pasado como una manera de inspirarme a mi misma a seguir adelante y siempre ver como seguir mejorando y evolucionando. Se que tendré días mejores que otros pero mi blog..mi blog es mi bebé y es de lo que más disfruto. Me encanta inspirarlas (así sea como usar una pieza o inspirarlas a seguir su sueños); hoy espero inspirarlas recordándoles que todos pasamos por momentos difíciles y aunque nos escondamos detrás de fotos hermosas en las redes, no hay vida perfecta...y hay que seguir adelante.
