During the long weekend I spent in Miami, I wore this long-sleeved lace top twice- I thought it was so gorgeous that I had to wear it again (check out the first post here). This time I wore it untucked with gold shorts underneath, the coolest spike shoes with a gold detail, and a small clutch that makes you only take what you really need. While most of the bloggers photoshop themselves like crazy, I don't edit mine at all (even though today I should have edited the huge bruise I have in my leg, it reminds me of my clumsiness haha a huge bag fell on me while packing clothes for a photoshoot on my internship). Oh, and the braid is mostly because I forgot my curling iron during my Miami trip...but it's fun to change my hairstyle once in a while. Have an amazing week!!

El fin largo que estuve en Miami utilicé esta camisa de dos formas- me pareció tan hermosa que quise usarla dos veces antes de regresar a Nueva York (si no viste como la usé, pasa por ACA). En esta ocasión quise utilizarla por fuera con unos shorts dorados debajo... y unos zapatos super cool con pullitas, de las que no cortan, en el tacón. Finalmente agregué un clutch negró que te obliga a utilizar solo lo necesario. A diferencia de la mayoría de las bloggers, no edito las fotos para nada-y aunque tal vez debería "borrarme" el morado que tengo en la pierna...pero me recuerda a mi torpeza en la pasantía jaja (me cayó una maleta llena de ropa encima mientras la armabamos para una sesión de fotos). El cabello trenzado no solo se debió a la famosa humedad de Miami- sino también a mi falta de plancha/rizadora...nada que una trenza no pueda arreglar cuando se trata de cabello. ¡¡FELIZ LUNES!!!

Otro miércoles...¡¡otro remix!! En esta ocasión les muestro las 3 formas como he usado estos pantalones dorados/metálicos. Llevaba meses guardando este remix porque quería agregar una cuarta forma de combinarlos aquí les traigo varias ideas. Los míos son de MNG by Mango pero se agotaron hace meses, por eso les agregué 4 opciones de distintos precios en dado caso que les interesen estos pantalones. Espero que esten aprovechando la semana! Here comes a post FULL of pictures from a day at the pool- I think I've mentioned how I want to start going more often to the beach/pool (specially because this weather is begging to live close to the water). So on Sunday, without any plans, we headed to the pool- I guess we had the same idea as another 100 families that wanted to enjoy the last day before school started. We spent all the afternoon there, we took food, water, sunscreen, books, magazines, etc. This time I wanted to wear my new La Belle Rebelle retro swimsuit; I feel like all the Hispanic women at the pool, who are used to the brazilian little  bikini, were staring at me like "what's wrong with her!!" but I absolutely love my retro bikini, it's so different and it has an old-hollywood vibe! If you like this silhouette but you are scared of the tan lines, it's simple: wear sunscreen!! (It's always better to use self-tanners or to be a little pale while preventing skin cancer). My outfit to go to the pool was very basic, I basically grabbed the 1st things I saw: jean shorts, crochet top, bright small bag just for the wallet and club ID, and my fedora. Aquí viene un post LLENO de fotitos de un día en la piscina- creo que les he mencionado anteriormente que no voy a la playa/piscina tanto como me gustaría (especialmente porque el clima en esta ciudad es de estar todo el día sumergida en algún cuerpo de agua). Así que el domingo sin nada que hacer nos aventuramos a la piscina de la urbanización, junto a cientos de familias que aparentemente tuvieron la misma idea- sobre todo porque era el último fin de semana de "vacaciones" de los niños en Estados Unidos. Estuvimos ahí gran parte de la tarde, nos llevamos comida, dulcitos, agua, mucho protector solar, y entretenimiento (libros y revistas). En esta ocasión quise  utilizar mi traje de baño nuevo de La Belle Rebelle- que se ve muy retro ya que es a la cintura. Creánme que todas las latinas, especialmente aquellas en bikinis con hilo, se me quedaron viendo como "esta se volvió loca". Pero a mi me encanta, es diferente al típico bikini miniatura- y si les gusta pero les preocupa el bronceado: apliquen bastante protector y ya... como digo yo "es mejor estar pálida pero prevenir el cáncer de la piel". Mi outfit para ir a la piscina fue bastante básico y agarré lo primero que vi: unos shorts de jean, una camisa de crochet que habían visto AQUI, una fedora y una cartera pequeña neón (perfecta para llevar mi carnet al club y el monedero, no necesitaba nada mas). Espero que les haya gustado y cuéntenme que opinan de este tipo de traje de baños!

On Thursday I had the opportunity not only to go to "Fashion Bloggers Do it Better- Summer Edition", but also I was one of the models for a small fashion show that happened during the event. My day started early by "getting runway-ready"- you know the drill...eye-brows, face-mask, long shower, half manicure, etc (I say half manicure because I don't like wearing a bright color when "modeling"- I'm no expert nor model but it's better to keep it simple when representing somebody else's brand). Before heading downtown super early to get my hair/makeup done at the event, I asked Gabo to take a couple of picture before I knew the sun would be down by the time he got there. Everything was AMAZING, I'll share pictures of the actual event later - I might steal them from other bloggers because all the running around and changing didn't let me take lots of picture. However, here's what I wore to the actual event: a cropped black top with a lace detail and open-back (oh btw, I get a lot of questions on what do I wear with open back tops/dress...here's a good bra for it), a peplum skirt, a simple envelope clutch and my fun dalmatian shoes. El jueves tuve la oportunidad no solo de asistir a "Fashion Bloggers Do it Better- Summer Edition" (Las blogueras de moda lo hacen mejor- edición VERANO), sino que también fui una de las modelos durante un pequeño desfile que hubo en el evento. Mi día empezó tempranito "preparándome para la pasarela"- depilación, mascarilla, medio manicure (digo medio porque prefiero llevarlas solo con brillito si es un desfile), etc. Luego antes de salir a Downtown, le pedí a Gabo que me tomara unas fotos porque sabía que entre la locura del desfile, y lo tarde que se iba a hacer...iba a ser casi imposible en la noche. Todo quedó cheverísimo, después comparto mas fotos del evento como tal (que me las tendré que robar porque de verdad que fue un corre corre y no pude tomar casi fotos). Por ahora le muestro lo que me puse como tal al evento: un top cortito con un detalle espectacular de encaje y la espalda al aire libre (muchas me han preguntado como hago para usar cosas escotadas de espalda, les recomiendo este tipo de sostén/bra), una falda peplum, mis zapatos tipo dálmata y una cartera de sobre negra.
