Every day should be Valentine's day!

Photobucket

This post should have been up a couple of hours earlier, but I had class all day,and a midterm at night! (yes, a pretty boring Valentine's day). However, if I'm totally honest... I don't believe in V-day, I think it's a  holiday that society created to sell chocolates and flowers. Every day should be Valentine's day, I believe that you should tell your family/friends/significant other that you love them EVERY DAY. You shouldn't go out to dinner, or give a fancy gift because society tells you too... it should come from your heart and because you really want too. It should be the other way around.. we should have 364 days dedicated to love, and one day to fighting- I'm sure the world would be in a better place! But.. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you, because my days would be completely different without you! (how cheesy!). XOXO!

ps. I wanted to do a post with my boyfriend, but he has an important test tomorrow and he hasn't stopped studying! Wish him luck :) We'll definitely do one this weekend!

Oh yeah.. leopard jeans!

Last week I found these leopard jeans for $22 at Target- where I regularly go for groceries but I stepped into the clothing department trying to find something by Jason Wu (which was a total fail, the only thing left was a black skirt in XXL). Instead of pairing it with the predictable black shirt (which I will totally do soon), I decided to try an unexpected combo with denim. I know some of you might not like it, but it's fun to try different things once in a while! On Thursday, we went to a dog park beside my university with Chiki I hope you like the pics! Have an amazing and productive week! XOXO

Feliz semana a todas!

For the love... of neon!

For the past challenge- wear neon- I wanted to do more of a winter version in order to prove how amazing neon colors look in cold weather. However, Miami didn't cooperate with me and it was a little hotter than I expected- so this is a transition look.. from winter to spring (you can't even add some opaque tights if it's still a little chilly). I just wanted to post this outfit quickly, I have to keep doing a lot of projects and studying for midterms! Thanks for visiting my blog!

pd: don't forget to check out this week's challenge. I can't wait to see your looks, I'll upload mine on Sunday!

Vintage leopard tunic

I don't know about you, but I get obsessed with certain pieces for a short period of time. I' wear something over and over, and then I forget about them- until I find them hiding in the closet (this is what happened to me with this hat... I haven't worn it in months and I took it out for a fashion school assignment and I wanted to wear it again). I know I know, two consecutive post wearing black jeans and a black hat- but these jeans are amazing too ( I can't believe they were only $20!!). This time I wanted to wear this amazing vintage oversized blouse (I talked about it on my February wish list)- I love the tiny animal print and it's so versatile ( I can even wear it as a dress with a belt) Since I was feeling the vintage vibe, I paired it with some retro-looking sun glasses and a couple of vintage accessories (a tiny watch and a bracelet that used to be my mom's, from the 80s). I wore this to a casual BBQ, we were celebrating a friend's birthday! Thanks for stopping by, I know I say it a lot.. but it really means so much to me! XOXO

Chunky sweater

One of the things that worries me as a "blogger" is boring my readers- reason why I try to make every piece as versatile as possible. Some days, I get so frustrated because I feel like I'm going to let you down or that you are going to thing that I need to try different combos or something. But at the same time I feel like that's what differentiates me from the big fashion bloggers out there who never wear the same thing twice. My goal has always been showing that you don't need to buy new clothes to feel like you have a huge wardrobe. Well.. about my day: we are doing a couple of changes to the apartment so the past couple of days I had to stay home with the construction working. However, I sneaked out to have lunch with Gabo! It's been raining non-stop- so I wanted to wear my chunky sweater again but I belted it this time! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Colorblocking in the rain!

Monday, August 8, 2011

Photobucket

Yesterday, there was supposed to be a big storm in Miami (for me, it was just a lot of rain). We decided to try to take pictures but it was a total disaster, my boyfriend was trying to hold the umbrella while take pics (which was extremely hard because you need both hands to hold an SLR). We were able to take a couple of pics and I hope you like them. I love to wear bright colors on rainy days, I think that changes the way you feel. I decided to wear my hair as big as I could, I knew that trying humidity and the rain will mess it up. We went out just to have some ice cream and get some materials I needed for a school project. Have a great week! XOXo

Feliz semana! Un abrazo!
