Hey everyone! I'm so sorry, I feel like I haven't posted in ages. The funny part is that I was tweeting today that you need to be extremely dedicated to your blog if you want to have one. I'm not saying you have to post every single day, but you you should have like a schedule (it could be weekly, three times a week or everyday)...what's really important is your passion and your effort.

I wore this last week to have luch with Sandy from Sira&Mara and Kristin from Living in Color print. We went to a crepe little place and we talked and talked and talked. I wore this comfy dress with a fun print with simple accessories. Finally I added this salmon color bag from Daniele Nicole- who has become one of my favorite bag designers. The quality of the bags is incredible and the prices are even more incredible.

¡Hola a todas! Mil disculpas por el pequeño abandono en el blog. Justo hoy estaba twiteando que para tener un blog hay que tener mucha dedicación...yo lo máximo que he pasado sin actualizar desde el 2009, han sido dos días!!  No digo que es necesario subir posts todo los días, pero si tener un rutina. Puede ser una vez a la semana, los lunes-miércoles-viernes, todos los días...pero lo importante es el corazón que le pones.

Esto lo utilicé la semana pasada para ir a comer con Sandy de Sira&Mara y Kristin de Living in Color Print. Fuimos a un restaurante de crepes muy rico, y hablamos hasta más no poder. Quise utilizar este vestido cómodo y llamativo, muy fácil de combinar con accesorios sencillos. Finalmente agregué esta cartera color salmón de Daniele Nicole, que se ha convertido en mi diseñadora favorita de carteras. Los precios son increíbles y las carteras se ven de la misma calidad de cualquiera de cientos de dólares.

Last year, I took a class where we forecasted trends for Spring-Summer 2013; and one of the trends that caught my attention was "marble"..now here I am, actually wearing it a year later.  It gets so hot in Miami that all I want is wear maxi skirts...they are so comfy and light, perfect for the heat.  I ended up pairing this maxi skirt with a white crop top (last week I did a remix with this top, check it out by clicking here), gold accessories, and a dark purple bag- like one of the colors of the print. I wore this to go to a breakfast in Miami Beach to celebrate the launch of a pajama setdesigned by Ari Dein for the W Hotels. I had the opportunity to speak with the designer, and she was a sweetheart...and so talented! Hope you liked my look!

ps: Gabo was out of town the day of the event so we had to take the pics another day- that's why I have curly hair on the actual event...but the outfit is the exact same :).

El año pasado, en la universidad estudiamos las tendencias para la Primavera-Verano 2013; y uno de los estampados de una de las tendencias que predecimos fue el "mármol. En Miami se pone tan caliente durante el verano, que a mi lo que me provoca es usar faldas largas y frescas todo el día. Quise combinar la falda de colores con un top cortito blanco (la semana pasada hice un remix con este top, pueden verlo haciendo click aquí), accesorios dorados, y una cartera morada- como uno de los colores en la falda. Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a un desayuno en Miami Beach la semana pasada. La diseñadora de pijamas y piezas íntimas, Ari Dein, diseñó un set de pijama especial para el Hotel W en South Beach. Tuve la oportunidad de hablar con ella y compartió conmigo su inspiración para este modelo. Espero que les haya gustado mi look!

Pd: las fotos las tuve que tomar un día diferente, Gabo estaba de viaje- por eso pueden notar que tenía el cabello ondulado durante el evento :).

Last Monday I had a great opportunity to give a little speech about fashion and colors with Ford and a group of hispanic bloggers. I talked about the trendiest colors for the season, what they mean, and how to wear them. I used to hate public speaking- but I feel like I'm getting better and better at it (nothing like beating your fears). Beside the speech, they pampered us with manicures, pedicures, cupcakes, and champagne...the perfect girly/chill environment. For the occasion , I ended up wearing this comfy floral romper with neutral fun accessories. Hope you like the outfit and pics! XOXO

Este lunes tuve la oportunidad de dar una pequeña charla sobre los colores y moda junto a Ford y a un grupo genial de blogueras/editoras latinas. Hablé sobre las tendencias de colores están de moda, que significan, y como combinar los colores al momento de vestirnos. Hace años me ponía muy nerviosa al momento de hablar en pública, pero con práctica he mejorado muchísimo. Aparte de la charla; nos consintieron con manicuras y pedicuras.. y por supuesto, no podían faltar los pasapalos y la champaña. Me gustó mucho ver a este grupo de blogueras y compartir con ellas en este ambiente tan relax. Para la ocasión quise usar este romper fresco floral, y accesorios divertidos de colores neutrales.  Espero que les gusten las fotos! Un abrazo grandote!

The third day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim was amazing, and a little long too! It started at the TRESemme suite where Marco Peña,  celebrity hairstylist, did my hair- we went for natural bohemian/beachy waves to go with my striped dress. Gabo came with me to the suite; we ate, drank, try new products, and did a fun video with a Jennifer Lopez song (the "I wanna dance"one). After that, I met with a UK magazine called Grazia UK and they took some outfit pics! Then we headed backstage where Marco Peña was in charge of doing the mode's hair, and Gabo had lots of fun taking some candid pictures of the models. Finally, we went to the "Agua Bendita" fashion show- which was AMAZING; I absolutely loved the prints and the bright colors. Oh and btw, the stripe dress was not only because it was perfect for the Miami heat... it worked with this week's challenge too. I hope you like the pictures! XOXO

El tercer día de Mercedes Benz Fashion Week en Miami fue otro día largo y espectacular- empecé en la suite de TRESemme en donde Marco Peña, estilista de celebridades, me peinó con unas ondas naturales y bohemias que fueran con mi vestido largo. Gabo me acompaño a la suite de TRESemme; y aparte de probar productos de la nueva colección, tuvimos que hacer un pequeño video con unos cartelitos y de fondo una canción de Jennifer Lopez. Después me reuní con una revista de Inglaterra llamada Gracia UK y me tomaron unas fotos. Ya más tardecita tuvimos la oportunidad de ir a los bastidores donde estaban peinando y maquillando a las modelos del siguiente desfile. Y finalmente fuimos al desfile de Agua Bendito, el cual me fascinó por sus estampados y colores- pueden ver muchas fotitos debajo. Sobre mi outfit: me moría por usar este vestido de rayitas (no solo por el reto, sino que fue perfecto para el calor infernal de Miami). Espero que disfruten las fotos... se que son muchísimas! This week is MB Fashion Swim, and what better way to start it that with a fashion show/ party at this chic place called SohoBeachHouse. My started at school and then I headed to Tatiana's  place to get ready with Steffy. We went to Ready, Set, Swim first and then to CosmoSplash. It was amazing, we had lots of fun and I loved seeing so many Miami bloggers at the event. The runway was in the middle of the pool, and there were a lot of gorgeous swimsuits. I also want to thank Pantene and Covergirl for the invitation! Hope you liked this look! XOXO

Ayer empezó oficialmente la Semana de la Moda en Miami (Swim Week) y que mejor forma de comenzar que con una fiesta/desfile en un sitio muy de moda en Miami llamado SohoBeachHouse. Mi día empezó en la universidad, y de ahí seguí a casa de Tatiana junto a Steffy para arreglarnos e ir a CosmoSplash y a un evento llamado Ready,Set, Swim. Estuvo super chevere, no tienen idea lo lleno que estaba el sitio- lo mejor de todo es que habían muchísimas blogueras. La pasé extremadamente bien con Tati y Steffy, son las mejores! La pasarela era en el medio de la piscina y nos consintieron con cocktails y pasapalos. ¡También le tengo que dar las gracias a Pantene y a Covergirl por la invitación! Espero que les haya gustado este look!

This is outfit is actually from last week- I forgot to post it with the whole disaster with my computer; right now it's on Best Buy, they are trying to recover all my info... and then I have to get the hard-drive fixed in apple (what a mission!). I don't even remember what we did that day, I guess it was for our weekly "romantic date". I built this look around the floral blouse with sheer sleeves from LOVE- I added a basic black skirt (which I wear all the time, check out the REMIX  here), black wedges, and a pop of color with a pink bag! Este outfit es de la semana pasada, no lo había puesto nada por todo lo del desastre de mi computadora. He tenido que usar la de Gabo y menos mal que no las había borrado de la cámara. Ya ni me acuerdo que hicimos ese día, se que fue el fin de semana y probablemente fue a nuestra "típica cita semanal" de ir a comer . El look es bastante sencillo, definitivamente el protagonista es esta blusa de LOVE- con estampado floral en el medio, y las mangas son bastante transparentes. Mantuve el look simple con una falda negra extremadamente versátil (REMIX aquí), unas plataformas negras, y un poco de color en la cartera.
