Last month I started a little segment called "Blogger Swap"- my goal was 1. to introduce you to new bloggers and 2. show that being inspired by other bloggers is more than okay...we all do it!
Today's swap is with Ashley from Ashes into Fashion- who has an amazing style and the biggest heart!. This swap was extreemely hard because I wanted to do MANY of her outfits. I ended up doing this one with a geometric neon skirt (hers is green, mine pink as you can see), a black blazer, white top, white shoes, and boxy sunglasses. Remember that being inspired is not about copying the look 100%, it's about taking ideas and adapting them to your style and what you own. Check out which of my look Ashley chose HERE.

El mes pasado les dije que iba a comenzar una sección llamada "Blogger Swap" (o traducido al castellano como Intercambio de Bloggers). La idea de esto es 1. Presentarle a otras bloggers que tal vez no conocen y 2. que por ser "fashion blogger" no significa que no tomo inspiración de otras bloggeras.
Hoy el intercambio es con Ashley de Ashes into Fashion- quien aparte de tener un gran estilo, tiene un corazón aún más grande. Este intercambio fue difÃcil porque querÃa "copiarle" todos los outfits. Pero me decidà por este con una falda geométrica de colores neones (la de ella verde y la mÃa rosada), un blazer negro, camisa blanca, zapatos blancos y lentes de sol cuadraditos. Como siempre les digo, no se trata de imitar el look al 100%, si no tomar inspiración y adaptarla a tu gusto y a tu estilo. No olvides pasar por ACA para ver cual de mis looks Ashley escogió.
Muchas chicas me han escrito para hacer un "blogger swap"- no se si tenga tiempo de hacerlo con todas, ya estoy full por dos meses. Pero si fueron se inspiraron en mi, lo cual es un gran honor, mándenme su look y puedo agregarlos por aquà con un enlace a su blog.

I think you might have notice my weakness for sleeveless blouses- you can button them up, knot them... they work during the day (even for the beach) and for dressier occasions. There were a couple of things from this shirt that caught my eye : the stripes kind of abstract, it has two fun pockets (real pockets, you can actually put things there), and it has an asymmetrical hem that you will see when I wear it with jeans/shorts. For this look, I paired the top with classic black pieces, a fun red belt, and my favorite round sunglasses. Remember my wishlist for September? I had a pair of black strappy heels and here they are! I love that they transform any look- I was wearing black flats during the day, I went to a dog park with Chiki; and later that day I went out to eat with my family! I hope you liked the look! XOXO

Creo que se han dado cuenta que tengo una debilidad las blusas sin mangas- especialmente porque puedo abotonarlas hasta el final, anudarlas....y funcionan tanto para ocasiones más arregladitas como para el dÃa a dÃa. Esta blusa no es solo de unas rayitas abstractas totalmente diferentes a las rayas tradicionales, sino también es mas larguita por detrás...ya la verán cuando la utilice con un pantalón. En esta ocasión quise combinarla con una falda negra, una cartera clásica negra, una correa roja y mis nuevos lentes favoritos...los redondos. ¿Se acuerdan de mi lista de compras para septiembre? Encontré mis sandalias negras de tiritas y se que les voy a sacar mucho provecho- aparte que este tipo de sandalias transforma cualquier look, en el dÃa utilicé esto mismo pero con flats para llegar a Chiqui al parque.... y luego en la noche para ir a comer con mis papás y tÃos que están de visita. Espero que les haya gustado este look! ¡BESOS!

I'm back to my super simple outfits- I wore this last week to go to the university. I started with a fun dress with a bird motif and a peter pan collar- I had a cardigan in my bag because some classrooms are FREEZING! I know I'm wearing black wedges, but the look is exactly the same with some flats or sandals. I just don't mind wearing heels to school since it's not a huge campus and the amount of walking is almost non-existing (just to and from the car). I like taking big bags to class where I can fit my computer and my agenda- also, I try to wear as little jewelry as possible (after so many hours in class, I end up taking them off and then I can't find them). Oh and I know I've been wearing my hair different- I'm having a "curling iron rehab" because of the humidity- and I'm just using a flat iron to straighten it and do little curls at the end. Mis looks más sencillitos regresaron- usé esta combinación para ir a la universidad la semana pasada. Empecé con un vestidito con estampado de pajaros y collar redondo (a la' Peter Pan)- algunos salones de mi universidad son HELADOS, asà que siempre me llevo un suéter en la cartera. Se que estoy usando plataformas, pero el look es exactamente el mismo con unas sandalias bajitas o bailarinas negras. Generalmente no me importa usar tacones a la universidad ya que la misma es chiquita y no camino absolutemente nada (solo del/hacia el carro). Luego agregué una cartera tipo mensajero color azul marino (color que tienen los pajaritos en las alas), me gusta llevar carteras grandes de manera que me pueda meter la computadora y mi agenda- también intento no usar casi accesorios, después de pasar tantas horas en la universidad me molestan, me los quito y luego no los encuentro! Por cierto, como han podido ver... han un pequeño cambio de look en el cabello- le estoy dando un descanso a mi rizadora (la cual parece no funcionar muy bien con tanta humedad) y he estado utilizando una plancha regular para alisarlo y luego hacer onditas en las puntas. ¡¡Gracias por sus comentarios! ¡¡Son l@s mejores!!

I'm a little upset because the colors are a little wrong in these pictures -especially the skirt which is a really bright coral. Yesterday was an extremely rainy day and the weather made it seem like we were using a gray filter on the camara. Well.. let's talk about my outfit! One of my favorite shirts was a lace shirt from Forever 21- but as everything from that store, I wasn't expecting it to last forever (*REMIX HERE**) So I replace it with this one from Jolie Molie (excellent quality and I know I'm going to wear it a lot too). Since the main focus of the look was the bright skirt, I kept the look very neutral and simple. Also, I'm in LOVE with these shoes; I felt like my "shoe collection" needed an update and these from LoveShoppingMiami were exactly what I was looking for (can you believe they are only $34!?). I hope you liked this look with a romantic vibe- also you can switch to flats and it's the a put-together look for the summer! Hope you are having an amazing weekend! XOXO

Estoy un poco molesta porque el color de esta falda no se aprecia bien en estas fotos (es más neón)- estuvo lloviendo todo el dÃa y parecÃa que la cámara tenÃa un filtro gris. Pero bueno...les cuento de mi look! Una de mis camisas más usadas era una de encaje de Forever 21- pero como todo lo de Forever 21, no esperaba que durara toda la vida (**REMIX AQUI**)- asà que quise reemplazarla por esta de Jolie Molie, la calidad es excelente y se que le voy a sacar mucho provecho. Para que el centro de atención fuera la falda coral de StyleGodis, mantuve el outfit bastante neutral con cremas/blancos. Ahora sobre los zapatos: hace unos meses sentà que necesitaba "modernizar" un poquito mis zapatos, y estos de LoveShoppingMiami son exactamente lo que querÃa- aparte que pueden creer que solo cuestan $34!! Espero que les haya gustado este look con un aire romanticón- también al usarlo con unos flats/sandalias nude, se vuelve perfecto para el dÃa a dÃa veraniego. Hi everyone! I hope you are having an amazing weekend- I'm studying and finishing up some projects because this week is the last week of the semester. I'm so excited to spend Christmas with my family. Reason why I started shopping for Christmas gifts yesterday- which was extremely hard, I have no idea what to get my parents and brothers. About my outfit: I first had a very casual outfit but I wasn't feeling me so I changed into this (which gives like a schoolgirl vibe, right!?) These LeBunnyBleu flats are SO comfortable, this was the second time I wear them and I used them to walk the whole day and... not even one blister! I also love the peter pan collar on this shirt, and I decided to pair it with a black skirt! Have you finished your Holiday shopping? Thanks for stopping by! xoxo

Hola a todas! Espero que estén pasando un bonito fin de semana- ya estoy en la semana de exámenes finales en la universidad y no puedo esperar para irme de vacaciones y visitar a mi familia. Asà que ayer fui al centro comercial a empezar a hacer las compritas navideñas (que por cierto no tengo idea que regalarle a mis papás y hermanos!) Sobre mi outfit del dÃa: esta semana me llegaron estos zapatos de Le Bunny Bleu y me fascinan- primero porque se ven medio "chanel" y segundo porque son comodÃsimas (primer par de flats que no me destroza los pies a las primeras usadas!). También me encanta esta camisa de estrellitas, sobre todo el collar y los colores! ¿Ya hicieron sus compras navideñas? Un abrazo!
I don't know about you, but I love checking out gossip websites just to see what the celebrities are wearing. I saw Lauren wearing this outfit last week and I loved it so much that I decided to recreate for less.. a lot less. My total look (including the sunglasses and watch) is around $150 while Lauren's bag costs around $1,500. I wore it to school during the day and then I headed to run some errands. I really like how the stripes and leopard look together but this combo is very subtle so it's perfect if you are not sure about mixing prints. No se ustedes, pero a mi me encanta ver lo que las celebridades están usando. Si les gusta la idea, puedo hacer una sección en el blog relativamente seguido en donde "copie el look" por mucho menos. En esta ocasión, mi look total cuesta alrededor de $150 (incluyendo el reloj y los lentes de sol)- mientras que solo la cartera de Lauren sobrepasa los$1.500. Este look lo utilicé durante el dÃa para ir a clases y luego para hacer diligencias en la tarde. También me gusta la mezcla de estampados, la cual es súper sútil y perfecta si no te atreves a usar dos piezas de ropa de diferentes estampados. Ya saben , avÃsenme si quieren ver una sección de este estilo y cuéntenme que les pareció el outfit. Un abrazo grande!
On the last post, I told that I haven't worn jeans in ages, but I felt in love with these Forever 21 jeans and I haven't stopped wearing them. People in school asked me if I got them at J-Brand, I was like "no way, they were only $16!). I also like that I'm challenging myself to make them look chic instead of boring. I know I always complain about how hot Miami is (and it still is) but you always are indoors with the a/c on; reason why I decided to wear this outfit ( and I had the cold still and the a/c is terrible when you are sick). I got this bag a couple of days ago and I'm in love with it.... isn't it gorgeous!? it dresses up any outfit! I took the pics just before arriving to a Furor small shopping event- there we talked for hours, drank wine, and I did a little shopping. I got a shirt that you saw in the Furor Series and a new one- can't wait to show you. I came back home straight to the bed, I had to wake up early to go to school!
