Growing up in Venezuela, we didn’t really celebrate thanksgiving. When I moved to the U.S, it was instantly a Holiday that I liked celebrating because it reminds us to stay thankful, to revisit the year, and remember the good while spending it with family and loved ones.
I married a Puertorican, and they do celebrate Thanksgiving…their own way. The dishes are a bit different, but oh-so yummy. So I’ve learned that I have to be prepared for the most delicious eating. That’s why this dress from Topshop I got at Nordstrom was perfect for the occasion; it is roomy but it is still very cute; family appropriate but young and fun; and easy to layer if you live in colder weather.
Walking by Nordstrom, I had to get this green velvet handbag (similar here) with the chunky chain- it brings the greens in the floral dress and it is also perfect for the Holidays.
Last touches? The HONEY earrings and the fisherman hat. I think they really bring the whole look together
You all know that I love matching with my little boy, even if we are in the same color palette. He was also very comfortable in his corduroy pants and grey sweater by Tucker + Tate, also from Nordstrom.
Also, did you already get your Holiday shopping done? I still have to buy everyone’s Christmas gifts. Nordstrom has their own curated gift guide section with categories like “Gifts Under $100” or “Gifts For Him”. Here are a few of my ideas for what to get:
FOR YOUR LITTLE ONES
FOR YOUR BEAUTY OBSESSED FRIEND-COUSIN

LOFT pants LOFT shirt SHOEDAZZLE shoes NINE WEST bag LIVE VIVACIOUS sunglasses JEWELBEMINE bracelets |
You all know that I absolutely love wearing short shorts and mini-skirts because of Miami's hot weather. However, there are days that I can't wear that....especially when I have meetings with brands or clients. So today I wanted to show a semi-professional look - but it is still fun and young because of the fabric and print.
For this collaboration with Lookbook.nu x Loft, I picked these corduroy pants for petites- style Marisa. I love getting pants at petite stores- if you are petite like me, you know the struggle of getting pants tailored. However, Loft has also specialized in having the best fit for pants. For example: the pants have a wider waistband to reduce muffin tops, asymmetric pockets for a perky rear, and a slimmer boot cut to make legs longer. I paired the pants with a dark purple leopard blouse, and simple black accessories.
I hope you liked the look! XOXO

¡Feliz semana!
Two Saturdays ago, I had the opportunity to be part of a fun event from Lacoste during Art walk. The best part was that they wanted to collaborate with Miami fashion bloggers during the actual event- so ten of us were wearing items from their newest/most trendy collection called L!ve (I feel like the are trying to break the standard that Lacoste = polos or gold gear). Actually, I was the last blogger to go pick out the clothing- so some of the most amazing pieces like the raccoon sweater or the striped skirt were already taken...twice. So I went for two versatile pieces, a pair of corduroy pants and a comic tee...which I could merge easily with my style. I got there early- and kinda left early too...I'm not a crazy party girl. But we have a lot of fun- I even got to play ping pong... and of course catch up with the girls! I hope you enjoy the pics! XOXO

Abrazos grandototes!
