I was going to start writing about my look and I realized that it has been a while since I post something that close to when I actually wore it. Generally, I try to have looks ready one week in advance because I like knowing that the blog will be updated every day. However, I wore this yesterday night to go to a typical dinner&movies date with Gabo. We watched "Monsters University"- I personally love Pixar movies and this one was not an exception. It was super cute and funny. I really wanted to dress up a little with some floral pants- which are light and perfect for this summer weather. I paired them with a black top with a sheer detail, caged sandals, and a pop of color with a pink bag. Hope you are having an amazing weekend! XOXO

Iba a empezar a escribirles de mi look que me di cuenta que tenía mucho tiempo sin estar preparada con looks. Generalmente tengo looks de al menos una semana antes de publicarlos, pero esto lo utilicé ayer Viernes. Fue un día de típica cita: cena y películas; fuimos a ver "Monsters University"- a mi me encantan las películas de Pixar y está no fue la excepción.  Para la ocasión quise utilizar estos pantalones de flores- que por su tela ligera y ser anchitos, son perfectos para este calor. Los quise combinar con una camisa negra con un detalle de transparencia, detalles dorados, y un toque de color con una cartera rosada. ¡Espero que estén pasando un fin de semana lindísimo! Un abrazotote!

Besides sharing my daily outfits, I also want to start sharing a little bit of my work as a fashion stylist. This shoot was extremely fun to plan with "Gabriel Sanchez Photography". I had in mind something very retro, but still fun and modern....full of polka dots and pops of red. I slowly started pulling out merchandise from different boutiques from Miami and Kristin (from the blog Skinny Intern) was our fantastic model. We spent a whole day taking the pics and we are very happy with the final result.

We had to improvise a couple of times- security kicked us out of our original location, so we headed to the beach and a different pool. On the way, we even found an amazing vintage car that even matched the swimsuits!

Aparte de compartir mis looks diarios, quiero compartir con ustedes un poquito de mi trabajo como estilista. Esta sesión de fotos fue extremadamente divertida de planificar junto a "Gabriel Sanchez Photography"; tenía en mente algo muy retro y lleno de lunares. Poco a poco fui pidiendo ropa prestada de diferentes boutiques, y Kristin (del blog Skinny Intern) fue nuestra fantástica modelo. Estuvimos tomando las fotos un día completo y estamos muy contentos con el resultado.

Tuvimos que improvisar muchísimo- si les cuento que nos botaron del primer sitio donde teníamos planeadas todas las foto. Pero eso nos obligó a ejecutrar un plan B en cuestión de minutos...nos fuimos a la playa y hasta nos encontramos un carro vintage perfecto para las fotos.

Un agradecimiento especial a  ShopMiamiStyle por los trajes de baño, a ZeroUV por los lentes de sol, VAHIFE boutique por los accesorios, Gold Saturn por los turbantes,  Joanna Paige por los zapatos , y a Furor Moda por las piezas vintage.

I almost forgot to publish this look!! In December, I did a small collaboration with Victoria's Secret PINK and their new lace bralettes. There was something different about this collab, they were very specific about what they wanted.... I understand, PINK has a specific look for a specific target- which is very youthful and colorful. They even sent me a list with instructions, like the outfit couldn't be too sexy/sophisticated/or rocker. I was a little nervous so I ended up doing two looks.... so they could tell choose. Since it's was a process of approval, I couldn't published none of the looks until January. They VS team ended up choosing THIS LOOK... and this one was forgotten among my computer folders. But here it is, I wore it around mid-December to go to an event at Blo Midtown for Ginger Straps. Thanks for stopping by! XOXO

¡¡Casi se me olvida publicar este look!! En diciembre hice una colaboración con Victoria's Secret PINK para sus bralettes- y ellos fueron bastante específicos en "el tipo de look que querían". Me mandaron hasta unas instrucciones que decían que el look no podía ser muy sexy, ni muy sofisticado, ni roquero. Y a mi me pasa, que entre más me limitan...más nerviosa me pongo. Entonces para asegurarme, quise hacer dos looks- y se los mandé para que ellos escogieran cual les gustaba más y toda la cosa. Como fue un proceso de aprobación, no me dejaron publicarlo hasta que ellos decidieran. Terminaron escogiendo ESTE look- y lo entiendo, es mas alegre y juvenil...más PINK. Y como pasó más de un mes....este look se había desaparecido entre mis carpetas de la compu. Pero aquí está, lo utilicé a mediados de diciembre para ir a un pequeño evento de bloggers en BloMidtown y Ginger Straps. Gracias por visitar el blog!! Un abrazo inmenso!

I feel like I have a couple of pieces that I keep wearing over and over- they all are "oxblood-ish", so I can pair them all together. I wore this two Saturdays ago, the 17th- for a Kenneth Cole event at the Aventura Mall. The hostess of the event was Amanda from Capture Fashion so I had a lot of fun catching up with her. This time I wanted to pair the peplum you already saw at the monochromatic challenge with a floral pair of jeans...and some simple gold/cream accessories. Originally, I had a statement necklace on- but it looked too busy, specially because of the print of the pants....maybe for a night-out! I hope you liked this look! XOXO and thanks for stopping by!

He tenido varias piezas en rotación las últimas semanas-  todas tienen algo en común, el tono vino...así que he estado combinándolas entre si hasta más no poder. Esto lo utilicé el sábado 17 de noviembre para un evento de Kenneth Cole en el centro comercial Aventura. La anfitriona era Amanda de Capture Fashion, y la pasé chevere compartiendo con ella. En esta ocasión quise combinar el peplum vino que vieron en el reto monocromático; pero esta vez con unos pantalones de flores y accesorios dorado/crema. Originalmente tenía un collar dorado con el peplum, pero siento que se veía muy cargado, especialmente para un look durante el día. Espero que les haya gustado este look!
