He estado usando estos pantalones en Venezuela muchísimo; primero porque son cómodos y segundo porque está haciendo un poco de frío. Me traje muchos shorts y faldas en la maleta y termina dándome friito. Esta vez me fui por un look un poco minimalista y lleno de básicos; combiné el pantalón con una camisa blanca básica, unos zapatos de leopardo, y uno de mis sombreros favoritos. También creo que se han dado cuenta que no dejo de usar esta cartera; pero de verdad que me fascina el color, el tamaño, su comodidad, etc <3. Esto lo utilicé para una reunión importantísima, creo que es uno de los proyectos más lindos que vienen en el 2014. Mil gracias a mi mami por tenerme tanta paciencia y tomarme fotitos cuando Gabo no está. ¡Ya casi es Navidad...que emoción!! El 24 les traigo un post 100% navideño pero en dado caso que no se metan a internet... FELIZ NAVIDAD!!! Disfruten mucho con su familia y seres queridos ¡¡Un abrazo inmenso!!

Hey everyone! Like I mentioned I'm still in Venezuela for the Holidays with my family; today I'm extremely happy because my brother arrived from Chile with his baby daughter...she's too gorgeous. Here's another of the looks I did with Furor Moda a while ago; I saved them and I'm glad I did because I'm short of content. Regularly I plan lots of outfits for Venezuela but this time I couldn't. Here I'm wearing a gorgeous burgundy skirt with a top you have seen a couple of times (worn regularly or backwards, with the back detail on the bust). Have an amazing weekend! ¡Hola a todas! Como les conté sigo en Caracas con mi familia; hoy estoy muy contenta porque llegó mi hermano de Chile con su bebé. Finalmente conocí a mi sobrinita y es una hermosura. Hoy les traigo otro de los looks que hice con Furor Moda hace un tiempo; los tenía guardados y se me había olvidado publicarlos...pero mejor así porque esta vez no tuve tiempo de prepararme con looks para Venezuela. En esta ocasión combiné una falda de mi color favorito, borgoña, con una camisa que han visto muchas veces (tanto al derecho como volteada, con el detalle de la espalda hacia adelante, como la ven en estas fotos). ¡Espero que tengan un feliz fin de semana... yo voy a reunirme con mis amigas y comer comida típica navideña!

While the North hemisphere is still freezing, Miami is just... so ready for Spring.  Even though I don't even want to think about the summer humidity, I'm really excited to go back to bright colors and floral prints. So we are just taking advantage of this perfect weather as much as we can.... today we headed to a park with Chiki. I absolutely love the print of these shorts and I like how I can bring out different colors from it. This time, I added some burgundy (hat/bag) and emerald accents. By the way, a fun emerald necklace is the perfect way to add "Pantone's color of the year" to your wardrobe (and this necklace is $20 at LoveStylize). Hope you are having an amazing weekend!! XOXO

Mientras que el hemisferio norte se congela, Miami ha estado...muy primaveral- con temperaturas perfectas. Y aunque no quiero pensar en el calor que está por llegar, ya quiero empezar a sacar piezas de mi "klozet" extremadamente primaverales. Aprovechando el clima perfecto... hoy fuimos a pasear con Chiki a un parque que queda cerquita del apartamento, y esto fue lo que usé. El short con estampado floral tiene muchísimos colores hermosos que quise incorporar en el look: como el vino, en el sombrero y cartera, y el esmeralda en el collar. Por cierto, el esmeralda es el color del año según Pantone... y un collar de este color es el toque perfecto para muchísimos looks tanto casuales como formales (este collar es de LoveStylize y cuesta $20 ). Espero que pasen un feliz fin de semana!!!

I have to admit a couple of things about this post:
1) I actually "stole" this combo from a mannequin at H&M. I really liked the color combo ( the print of the pants has the same color of the blouse...you can only see it in the closeups). This is a classic/conservative combo, but the colors make it fun and modern.

2) I wore this on Saturday to an event called Fashion Exchange- which was basically a swap. I brought 6 items and took 6 items. However, I couldn't take pics that day so I took them quickly before starting my Sunday. I ended up adding two things that I got at the swap: the ring and the vintage Coach bag (that was actually Steffy's, from Steffy's Pros and Cons).

I've always said that you need a pair of nude shoes in your closet. After wearing mine so much,  they were just worn out.... so I just got this pointed toe nude shoes.

Les tengo que admitir varias cositas sobre este post:
1) La combinación de pantalón+camisa se la robé a un maniquí en H&M. El estampado del pantalón tiene el mismo tono de la camisa (solo se ve en las fotos de cerquita) y me gusta como se ven los colores. Son piezas clásicas pero los colores le dan un toque moderno y divertido.

2) Este look lo utilicé el sábado para ir a un evento llamado Fashion Exchange- que como su nombre lo dice, era básicamente un intercambio de ropa. Llevabas 5 piezas y te ibas con 5 piezas distintas. Pero ese día no pude tomar las fotos en el día, así que rápidamente las tomé el domingo antes de empezar mi día. Pero la confesión viene en el hecho de que hice una pequeña modificación: agregué dos piezas del intercambio. Una de ellas es el anillo y la otra la cartera Coach vintage (que era de mi amiga Steffy de Steffy's Pros and Cons).

Siempre les he dicho que unos zapatos nude no pueden faltar en tu closet. Usé tanto los míos que se destrozaron; así que hoy les muestro el reemplazo...pero esta vez son puntiagudos en vez de punta redonda.

After so many beach looks from Aruba... here's my first look in Miami. The city has been "hot" in comparison to the rest of the North Hemisphere . However, I'm very used to the hot weather- so any little breeze makes me want to pull out sweater and boots. I wore this for my first day of school and then to go out and eat with Gabo. I ended up running around like crazy at the University; the good news is that I only have 3 classes and I have a lot of time to make the blog better. And the bad, but still good, news is that I had to postpone my internship... but I might do it in NYC (crossing fingers). I'm very excited to graduate in June!! Since this was my first look in Miami, I really wanted Chiki to be with me in the pics ( I missed him sooo much). Hope you like them! XOXO

Después de tantos looks playeros...ya les traigo el primer look desde mi llegada a Miami. La ciudad ha estado calurosa en comparación al resto de Hemisferio Norte. Para mi, que nací, crecí y estoy acostumbrada al calor, cualquier viento se siente bastante fresco. Así que quise utilizar este look para ir al primer día de la universidad- en el cual terminé haciendo millones de diligencias ( el suéter fue perfecto ya que siempre tienen el aire acondicionado a millón ahí).  Las buenas noticias es que tengo pocas clases este semestre y tengo tiempo para hacer videos/ir a más eventos/ y dedicarme mucho al blog. La mala pero buena noticia es que tuve que posponer mi pasantía...y quiero irme a Nueva York en Abril para hacerla allá -- ya veremos que pasa...cruzando deditos. Ya que estoy de regreso, quise que en este look saliera Chiqui, mi perrito, al cual extrañe como nunca estas vacaciones. ¡¡Espero que les gusten las fotos! Un abrazo grandísimo!!
