Endless Wonder

Friday, December 13, 2019

Thank you Disney+ and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.

When I was little, I watched “The Little Mermaid” probably 500 times. My older brother still tells me that he doesn’t understand how the VHS would still play it. It’s absolutely incredible how much things have changed since the 90s and it’s mind-blowing to think that Nico is (and will be able) to have access to basically any movie, any time, any place!

I was so excited to check out Disney+, and it truly is more than a streaming service! There are hundreds of movies and series to stream: some bring me back to my childhood, and some are becoming great traditions with my own little family!

Since Disney+ is home to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more, I keep adding and adding to my watchlist! I’m really excited to watch the live-action Lady and the Tramp, re-watch the Toy Story saga (absolute favorite), and Lizzie McGuire (as I’m very excited to see the new Lizzie McGuire series! Who else is?).

I like that there is content that Nico loves (his latest obsession is anything with Pluto in it, it makes him laugh like crazy), content that we love as a family (I could watch Coco every week), and also content for a couple’s night in (we have watched a few National Geographic documentaries, and they are amazing).

Have you subscribed to Disney+ yet?
If not, sign up for a free trial RIGHT HERE!

And if you have, tell me what you are currently watching!?

XOXO,

Nany

SNAKE PRINT boots for FALL 2019

Wednesday, October 23, 2019

This post is sponsored by Zappos. All opinions are my own.

In Miami, we wish for Fall temperatures basically all year. We aren't so lucky though, so we have to fake it a little bit (and fortunately, everyone fakes it at home too with a 60 degree A/C!).

So here are two looks with these amazing Steve Madden boots I got at Zappos. The one with the black dress and the denim jacket is more of a transitional look, perfect for Miami. But I know I also have readers that are experiencing temperatures drop right now.

Snake print makes big statement but it is also super versatile. I love how it looks with denim and leather. You can dress them up or down. Every time I wear these boots I get tons of compliments- I mean they are gorgeous!

I've loved Steve Madden shoes since I moved to the U.S; and now I can browse Zappos and find such a great range of Steve Madden styles. Plus I can shop in the comfort of my home, with fast and free shipping, and a 365 return policy.

This is not necessarily the most fashionable outfit, we were just picking up my brother at the bus station...when we decided to walk around.

I was amazed by the architecture, the people, the culture...breathtaking!! My husband, Gabriel (@Gabe_Media) did an amazing job capturing the beauty of this place.

Enjoy the pics!! <3

Things don't go as planned. We had everything ready...we were going on our honeymoon after 2 years (and to celebrate our second anniversary)...and something happened: I guess it was my mistake.

As a venezuelan passport holder, I couldn't get on the plane to the UK. There's a new law that requires venezuelans to get a visa. When I lived in Venezuela, I remember we could go to any European country without any problems- that's why I didn't even double check (again, my mistake). The airline never required it when I input my passport months ago (but again, we shouldn't rely on machines).

I took it very calmly, I'm the type of person that takes things very chill, especially when you cannot do anything about it. Even though we did, we tried changing our trip but it was twice as expensive. We decided to stay in New York and enjoy every second of it- because well, WE ABSOLUTELY love New York. We stayed there an extra 5 days and we tried to do/visit things we had not done before.

It was one of those moments where you realize that it is your choice , you decide whether something can F*ck it all up or you can just look at the bright side...and my bright side was simply being with him in one of the best cities of the world.

Stand for something....

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

This post is extremely hard to write right now...what's happening in Venezuela is getting tougher and tougher (but like a reader wrote me, it's always worth it to fight for your country). So today I'm partnering with  Dr. Martens for their Spring campaign called "Stand for Something"...and I thought it was perfect ...even though I'm far away from my country, it still hurts.

I stand for freedom of speech, the right to be safe... I stand for justice and for democracy in Venezuela.

And you... What do you stand for?

______________

¿Y tu..? ¿por que luchas?

NYFW: neon during the winter

Sunday, February 17, 2013

FUROR MODA neon shirt
STYLE GODIS neon skirt
SHOEDAZZLE cap toe booties
SHEINSIDE leather jacket
FOREVER 21 black sweater
ZEROUV cat eye sunglasses
BRAHMIN bag
H&M necklace
BCBG bracelet

Here's the second look I wore during New York's Fashion Week. I wore it to three shows/presentations: Lela Rose, Cynthia Rowley and Nina Skarra. I really wanted to wear something that made an impact...and what better way that wearing neon colors. Even though it looks like a bright dress, it's actually a skirt but the amazing neon collar of THIS shirt.  And of course...the layers: a warm black sweater, a faux-leather jacket, and a big coat for walking to/from the subway. Finally, I added a necklace with a pop of neon, gold accessories, and some cat-eye sunglasses (it was a gorgeous-sunny day). Do you like this look? What do you think of wearing bright colors during the winter? XOXO

ps: Cynthia Rowley's and Nina Skarra's pictures coming soon!

__________
