I recently took a trip to Jamaica with my husband…and besides my swimsuits, sunglasses, and sunscreen, my DENIZEN jeans had to come with me. I brought the Modern Shorts for daytime outings, the Modern Cropped Flare for a dinner night and the Modern Ankle Skinny for traveling.

Hello loves! I'm super excited to do this post! I've done a few little travel guides and I got so many questions about our trip to Jamaica that I decided to do one too.

I recently traveled with my husband to Jamaica for a few days. We were invited by the Karisma team to the Grand Opening of a new area at the Azul Sensatori Jamaica.

It’s located in Negril, Jamaica situated right on the famed Seven Mile Beach. Just like "El Dorado Suites", the hotel is all- inclusive (food + drinks + certain activities).  I absolutely love all-inclusive hotels because it means you get there, put your wallet in the security box, and not worry about anything.

 It has 18 Gourmet Inclusive restaurants + bars, lots of swim-up suites and a unique vibe. It was a quick trip but we had to enjoy it as much as possible.

Here are 10 things you must do if you visit Azul Sensatori Jamaica.

En el pasado he escrito un par de guías de viaje y me preguntaron mucho sobre este hotel en Jamaica, si valía la pena, que había para hacer, etc. Así que hoy les traigo 10 cosas que deben hacer si visitan el Azul Sensatori Jamaica.



Empecemos..

When you think of tropical vacations, you think of blue sky and even bluer sea. However, the Caribbean loves a good thunderstorm and we couldn't avoid it one day!

But that didn't stop me from getting in the pool in between rain showers! That day I was wearing this cute floral romper  with the criss-cross cleavage ! My fave thing about rompers is how easy you can dress them up or down!  They are perfect beach wardrobe with flip-flops and a hat; and then at night I added booties and a gorgeous bag- someone was ready for dinner!

For my hair, I was impressed about how much it was behaving in the humidity. For the dinner time I just curled with an curling iron a few pieces on the top and I feel it looked great (well, considering!).

Siempre que uno piensa en vacaciones, uno imagina el cielo azul y ni una nube acercándose. Pero el Caribe es cero predecible y por supuesto, nos tocaron un par de tormentas (de esas que vienen y van rápido).

Pero eso no nos dejó encerrados, me metí en la piscina y disfrutamos del hotel entre lluvia y lluvia. Hicimos un tasting de ron jamaiquino, muy interesante. Ese día utilicé este romper floreado con un escote de tiritas cruzadas. Como pueden ver, amo los rompers  durante el verano porque son muy fáciles de combinar tanto el día como para la noche. De día con un sombrero y sandalias; y en la noche con tacones (o botitas en mi caso) y una cartera bella- ¡lista para una cena!

Les quería contar de mi cabello porque estaba impresionada de lo bien que se portó entre tanta humedad. Antes de la cena solo lo ricé en la parte de arriba para que los mechones cerca de la cara tuviesen forma. Creo que se veía bien, ¿qué dicen ustedes?

Life is definitely better by the ocean!

I feel like I belong by the ocean. My dream is to live in a house where you can hear the waves at night. I got married by the ocean. I feel the happiest around the sand, the blue ocean, the salty water. Maybe I was a mermaid in a parallel universe (not to say another life haha).

I love one-piece swimsuits, but I love bikinis too! This one is by my favorite swimwear brand called 6ShoreRoad. You have probably seen me wear this brand dozens of time in the blog (I'm going to link here in case you feel like checking them out!). I really like the halter and the ruffle, it's super comfortable - and the print is adorable. Well. in full honestly, I feel like 6ShoreRoad has the MOST amazing prints, don't you think? ¡La vida es definitivamente más sabrosa cerca del mar!

Siento el Caribe en mi sangre. Amo la playa. Amo estar rodeada de arena. Mi sueño es vivir tan cerca del mar que pueda oír las olas mientras duermo. También soñaba casarme frente al mar, así que voy por buen camino. Tal vez en otra vida fui sirena (bueno, en un mundo paralelo ya que no creo en sirenas).

Me encantan los trajes de baño de una pieza pero eso no quiere decir que no me guste usar bikinis. Este es de una de mis marcas favoritas llamada 6ShoreRoad. Probablemente me han visto usarla decenas de veces. De este me encanta el estilo halter y el volantico que tiene. Lo mejor de esta marca son los estampados, les voy a dejar abajo mis favoritos y me cuentan que les parecen!

Si quieren sacarle el máximo provecho a lo que lleven en la maleta de vacaciones tropicales/veraniegas, les recomiendo estos sets de dos piezas. 

Los puedes usar de día (con sandalias para pasear por la ciudad que estés visitando), en la noche (con tacones para una cena con vista al mar), solo el top con unos shorts de jean sobre tu traje de baño, y la falda con un top más elegante si la ocasión lo amerita.

At the end of June, we headed to Jamaica with Azul Sensatori - a gourmet-all-inclusive hotel in Negril, Jamaica- for the opening of a new area of the hotel. The hotel in Negril is about an hour away from Montego Bay Airport. The hotel is easy to navigate, not that big but with absolutely everything you need (fitness center, water activities, many delicious restaurants, etc). I'm going to do a separate article on it! Stay tuned! But look at that BLUE OCEAN!!

Before Jamaica, my last pit stop was Nordstrom. 🛍 I was looking for some super high waisted shorts I could wear over my swimsuits...and I ended up picking this gorgeous floral one-piece too and these statement earrings that give a little glam to any beach or summer outfit (day to night). I'm linking everything below the "get the look".

Terminando el mes de Junio, nos fuimos a Jamaica con la línea de hoteles Karisma para la inauguración de una nueva zona del hotel Azul Sensatori. Estábamos muy emocionados ya que habíamos trabajado con ellos anteriormente, y de verdad que no puedo esperar para volver a alguno de estos hoteles.

Este queda en Negril, apróximadamente una hora del aeropuerto de Montego Bay. Me gustó mucho que el hotel es cómodo, caminas 10 pasos y ya estás en la playa HERMOSA. Y es todo incluido, comida gourmet, actividades, clases de gimnasio, y más. Pronto les cuento bien en un artículo aparte pero no quería dejar de mostrarles todos los looks a los que le tomamos fotos.

Antes de Jamaica, mi última parada fue Nordstrom. Estaba buscando unos shorts a la cintura que pudiese usar con mis trajes de baños (tanto enteros como bikinis).
