One of my biggest resolutions for this year was to make my apartment cozier. After living in the same house for more than 6 tears, I moved downtown in September and I feel like I didn't make it completely "my home".  So on Saturday, I started moving furniture around... and rearranging the whole layout. I really like how it's coming together. This is what I wore that day.. the sweater was extra comfy  (and well...wearing shorts under skirts always helps). After a long day of moving furniture, we went out to get smoothies and then came back to get ready for a fashion event at night. Uno de mis propósitos para el 2013 era hacer de mi casa más acogedora- después de vivir en el mismo apartamento por más de 6 años, me mudé a un apartamento totalmente distinto en septiembre del año pasado. Y siento que no le había dado mi toque personal... y en eso estuve el sábado: moviendo muebles como una loca y cambiando las cosas de lugar. Me gusta mucho como está quedando, ya les contaré que tal queda todo. Esto fue lo que utilicé ese día...estaba muy muy cómoda (nada como usar shorts debajo de la falda, cabe acotar!). Luego de salir a buscar un smoothie, regresé a cambiarme para un evento.... pasado mañana- ya que mañana es miércoles de remix- verán las fotitos (si me siguen en Instagram @nanysklozet, puede que ya hayan visto un adelanto). Un abrazo inmenso!

Last Saturday there as a fun event called "Red Bull flugtag" and a couple of friends wanted to go so we decided to check it out. If you have never heard about it, it's basically a contest where you built a plane, and try to make it fly by jumping from a 30-feet platform in the ocean. The homemade plane that flights the longest distance wins...but only one flew, all of them just crashed in the water (very funny!, check out the video HERE). Since we walk to the event and it was very casual... I just wanted to be comfy in this neon striped sweater, black jeans, and  lot of bracelets. Even though the temperature has been lower this week...being in the sun and with so many people, I ended up taking it off (thank god I had a tank top underneath).  After seeing all the planes crashed except one, we had lunch and I headed home! Later that day I went to a friend's bday...outfit coming soon! XOXO

El pasado sábado hubo el "Red Bull flugtag" y un grupo de amigos querían ir así que nos aventuramos para ver como era. Básicamente es un concurso en donde la gente hace avioncitos, siempre con un tema, y se lanzan al agua de una plataforma de 30 pies....el que llegue más lejos gana (se supone que vuelen...pero solo pasó una vez; aquí pueden ver el video!). Ya que era un evento super relax al lado de la playa, obté por un look cómodo con este suéter neon, jeans negros, y muchas pulseritas. Había tanta gente y hacia tanto sol, que lo fresco que estaba ni se sentía..menos mal que tenía una franelilla debajo y me lo pude quitar. Aunque estaba llenísimo, nos metimos en unas piedras y se puede decir que veíamos todo en primera fila.... es decir, lo que hicimos fue venir a los aviones chocando de una- pero fue bastante chevere. De ahí fuimos a comer y listo...regresé a la casa a descansar un rato y luego seguí al cumpleaños de un amigo...después les muestro el look! Abrazos!!

On the last actual outfit, I was wearing this romper for a night out- however, I said I would show you how I wore it during the day. I was supposed to save it for later since the blog is looking very repetitive (I don't know what's up but apparently I've been doing a couple of day-to-night transformations). Since the cut-outs of the rompers make it dressier, I tried balanced it out with very casual pieces like a panama hat a comfy flats. Talking about these timeless black flats, I swear this are the comfiest flats I own... I take them everywhere and they are perfect for walking around or doing errands. Well... today is my birthday!! I had classes in the morning and then Sandy, the tropical storm, arrived... so it was very chill and laid-back! But I'm celebrating it this weekend..so get ready for some fun pictures- I love theme parties and this one is going to be FUN! En el último look les dije que les iba a mostrar como había utilizado el mismo romper azul durante el día- quería guardar este outfit unos días para que no se viera tan repetitivo el blog (no se porque me ha dado por hacer looks dobles tipo transformarlo del día a la noche). Aunque este romper tiene los detalles de recortes que lo hacen un poquito más de noche, al usarlo con un sombrero y zapatos bajitos...se convierte en un look cómodo y de día. Hablando de los flats, son de los zapatos más cómodos que tengo...no me los quito en días de diligencias o que tengo que caminar mucho! Bueno...les cuento que hoy fue mi cumpleaños!!! Tuve clases toda la mañana y después estuve con mi familia- aparte la tormenta tropical Sandy no dejó tomar fotitos ni nada. Pero la celebración es el fin de semana y les mostraré que tal- como les he mencionado, me encantan las fiestas temáticas y estoy bastante emocionada por esta...ya verán.
