It is always so exciting to partner with brands you absolutely use and love. I first learned about Hair Food in May 2020 and the products worked perfectly for my curly journey, where it is recommended to use products are free of sulfates, parabens, mineral oils, and dyes!

So I want to tell you more about my current routine:

 - I wash my hair once a week because that’s what works for me! I’m using the Coconut Milk & Chai Spice Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. The scent is perfect for the winter: sweet, but not overwhelmingly sweet. My husband loves it too!

- When my hair is still damp, I apply the Mango & Aloe Vera Leave-in Curl Defining Smoothie, it helps tame frizz and give defined curls.

- Then I applied a bit of gel for curls to hold them a bit more..

- I’m really happy with my curls; but some days, I need to use a curling around to curl a few strands around my face.

- So I’m using the Coconut & Argan Oil Heat Protectant Blend, it protects your hair from heat damage up to 450 degrees and gives it a healthy shine!

-To open the curls and break the curl hold, I use the Avocado & Argan Sulfate Free Smoothing Hair Oil to prevent frizz and give it a shine kick!

Hair Food’s mission is to feed your hair like you feed your body.

So inspired by their kitchen-crafted recipes full of superfoods, let’s do a smoothie with delicious and nutritious ingredients that nourish your body (and hair!!)

You need:

  • Frozen mangos
  • Fresh Aloe Vera Juice (it has so much benefits like improving digestion and boosting immunity). Here’s a quick tutorial on how to safely prepare the Aloe Vera Juice.
  • Coconut chunks
  • Avocado.
  • Optional: ginger
Blend until smooth and enjoy! You can also add coconut flakes when you are ready to serve!

These tropical ingredients also remind me of my childhood in Venezuela and spending time with my family. I love my hair is as simple as what I put in my smoothies

  1. I wash my hair every two days. And it is really annoying especially in Winter here, too cold.
