Today I wanted to share a very simple but romantic outfit. I got this skirt in 2008 (maybe 2007, not sure!) At that moment, high waisted skirts were just starting to come out and I hate that this one is not high waisted! I always tried to put it on the waist and it falls, and if I add a belt, it gets too short... but I really like the color. I paired with one of my favorite shirts: a lace tee and it adds a romantic vibe to the look. I just wanted to share that I spent the whole day at the vet, my baby had a weird thing on its back so I had to take him there asap. He is fine now, taking some meds but he is fine- he's featured A LOT on the pics below... he should have his own blog, right!? Thank you so much for you support! XOXO



Hoy les traigo un outfit sencillito que no quería dejar de compartir con ustedes. Esta falda la tengo desde el 2008 (quién sabe si desde el 2007!!) En ese momento no estaba tan de moda las cosas a la cintura- cosa que me vuelve loca porque me la quiero poner a la cintura y ahí me queda grande. Si uso un cinturón o algo para usarla ahí queda muy cortita, la combiné con una de mis camisas favoritas que es de encaje- dándole un toque romanticón. Les cuento que ayer pasé todo el día en el veterinario, le encontré una pelotica en la espalda a mi perrito y tenía una infección- pero ya está bien, tomándo medicinas pero bien! Abajo sale en muchísimas fotitos, ¿verdad que debería tener su propio blog? Un beso inmenso a todas y una vez más... gracias por todo el apoyo!

Yesterday, there was supposed to be a big storm in Miami (for me, it was just a lot of rain). We decided to try to take pictures but it was a total disaster, my boyfriend was trying to hold the umbrella while take pics (which was extremely hard because you need both hands to hold an SLR). We were able to take a couple of pics and I hope you like them. I love to wear bright colors on rainy days, I think that changes the way you feel. I decided to wear my hair as big as I could, I knew that trying humidity and the rain will mess it up. We went out just to have some ice cream and get some materials I needed for a school project. Ayer domingo hubo una "tormenta"(los gringos son demasiado exagerados, era una lluvia fuerte pero normal y corriente). Tomar estas fotos fue un desastre total, me llevé dos paraguas: uno para mi y otro para el "fotógrafo". Pero para tomar las fotos en la camarota necesita las dos manos y no podía agarrar el paragua, aparte estaba lloviendo tan duro que me mojé muchísimo y después tenía un frío terrible. A mi me gusta vestirme de colores alegres en días oscuros, siento que te quitan la flojera y te alegran el día. Sobre mi cabello: sabía que con la humedad +lluvia lo mejor era rizarlo lo más posible. Solo salimos a comer helado y a buscar unas cositas que necesitaba para un proyecto, un domingo tranquilo. Feliz semana! Un abrazo!

Last night, I went with my boyfriend and a friend to "Cirque Eloize"- you have no idea how impressive it was. It's a mix of acrobatics/urban dance, but the cirque's theme is very street- it's like everything is happening at the heart of a city. I loved it! We took the pictures a little far from the theater (you can see it in the background) because we know they wouldn't let us bring the camera inside. I was so disappointed with what people were wearing- I know it's not a gala and you don't have to wear a gown but at least they should prohibit men in shorts and flip flops. I decided to wear my white lace dress (from my July's wishlist) and nude accents. Have a great week! XOXO.


Ayer fui con mi novio y un amigo a un circo llamado "Cirque Eloize"- no tienen idea lo espectacular que es. La temática es como si todo fuera en la calle, pero hay de todo: las de flexibilidad, los de fuerza, los equilibristas, los gimnastas, etc. Quedé fascinada con el show, no tiene nada que envidiarle a Cirque Du Soleil. Tomamos las fotitos un poquito lejos pero de fondo se ve el teatro- no nos iban a dejar entrar con la cámara y había que caminar un poquito para llegar al mismo. Quedé un poco decepcionada con la informalidad de la gente para ir al teatro, no digo que hay que ir en traje de gala pero la idea es arreglarse un poquito más de lo normal. Razón por la que quise usar este vestidito de encaje (que estaba en mi lista de compras de julio) y accesorios nude. Feliz semana y un abrazo inmenso para todas!

I wore a similar outfit a couple of months ago; same denim shirt and a tight leather skirt. However, the vibe was completely different. I wanted to knot the shirt to make it more casual and relaxed (remember that even though crop tops are IN, you shouldn't show a lot of skin- that way it'll look modern and chic). I decided to add a lot of friendship bracelets as my main accessory and to give it a pop of color. I wore this last night and we went to have mojitos at a place nearby. No se si se acuerdan, pero hace unos meses usé esta camisa con una falda de cuero. Aunque ambos tienen la misma camisa y una falda negra, siento que el resultado es totalmente distinto Quise amarrar la camisa de denim para darle un toque más relajado y casual- recuerda que aunque las camisas cortas esten de moda, el truco para que no se vea vulgar ni pasado de moda es que lo uses con faldas/shorts/pantalones a la cintura (es decir que solo se vea un poquito de piel). Quise agregar bastantes pulseritas de tela para darle un toque de color. Esto fue lo que usé para ir a tomar mojitos con mi novio en un local cerca de la casa! Hi everyone! I feel like I haven't updated the blog in ages- but the weekend is here and I'm ready to take lots of pics! I've been super busy with school- the program is divided in quarters instead of semesters so it goes by FAST (I have midterms and big projects due next week!!. Can you believe it?) I know I've gotten lots of request on school outfits- but as you can imagine, I'm not presentable at 6 am. And when I get home, I tend to modify it a little (like changing my flats to heels and a bright lipstick). I wanted to wear my royal blue jeans again, but this time I paired them with a floral tank and simple accessories. I had lunch with my boyfriend and slept the whole afternoon- I'm exhausted! Hola a todas! Siento que tengo siglos sin actualizar el blog- pero ya llegó al fin y tomaré muchas fotitos. He estado a millón con la universidad- ya que son 4 "semestres" al año entonces el mismo pasa volando. Esta semana tuve quizzes todos los días y tengo que entregar varios proyectos la semana pasada. Se que me han pedido que les ponga los outfits de la uni (siempre termino modificándolos un poco ya que a las 6 am ando como una loca). Esto fue lo que me puse para ir a la uni hoy viernes, pero con unos zapatos bajitos. Es impresionante como unos tacones, y una pintura de labios pueden cambiar tu look. Quise usar los pantalones azul rey otra vez pero con una camisa floreada y accesorios simples. Fui a comer con mi novio y a descansar- estoy agotadísima! Espero que tengan un bonito fin de semana! The day started super early for an 8am class (I was about to go to class in my pjs today!). I had a quiz, the professor lectured us for a while and I came back home to sleep for a couple of hours! When I woke up, I really wanted to dress up a little. I headed to eat and do some errands for class- I went to Michael's (an arts&crafts store) because I needed to get some materials for a project. I had an amazing idea in mind but I knew it wouldn't come out as expected so I decided to lower the difficulty. I'll definitely show it to you when it's ready! After that I came back home to do homework and study (aghh). About my outfit: I wanted to wear this scarf as a turband (turban+headband), you have already seen it as a skirt and as a regular scarf. I also wanted to show you this amazing necklace from Brittney Miranda- I love the little gold spikes, you can dress it up or down. On formspring somebody asked me to do more outfits with this nude wedges... so I invite you to head up to formspring and ask me anything! El día empezó tempranito para ir a las clases a las 8 am ( ni les cuento del outfit porque estuve apunto de irme en pijamas). Tuve un quiz y regresé a la casa a dormir otro ratito- como les he dicho, no soy de despertarme temprano. Después quise arreglarme para ir a pasear, comer, y hacer unas diligencias. Les cuento que estuve horas paseando en Michael's (un sitio que venden materiales para hacer proyectos); tenía una idea genial para un trabajo de una clase pero después de pensarlo mucho decidí bajarle el nivel de dificultad (soy bastante perfeccionista, y se que no iba a quedar como lo veía en mi mente). Llegué a la casa a seguir estudiando (esto es a millón, he tenido quiz/examenes todos los días). Sobre el outfit: ya han visto esta bufanda hasta de falda. También quería mostrarles este collar de Brittney Miranda- tenía tiempo buscando uno así con pullitas y dorado, apenas lo ví me enamoré. Dependiendo de con que lo combines puede ser elegante o casual. En formspring me pidieron que utilizara estas plataformas de nuevo, si quieren: pregúntenme lo que sea por esa vía. El perrito que ven en las fotos en un perrito callejero, siempre le llevamos comidita de perro (cada vez se nos acerca más). Cuéntenme que les pareció el outfit, que cambiaría- me encanta oir sus ideas!

If I was feeling bohemian on the last post, yesterday I definitely felt classy. I wanted to wear my black pumps, a small clutch, a bun, and red lipstick: very Audrey Hepburn. However, this is what I truly wear every day, and I tried to adapt how I felt with my Sunday afternoon plans: going to Miami Beach to walk around.  Reason why I wore my comfy flats and the fedora instantly makes your outfit casual- but I wanted a glam touch and I wore red-lipstick during the day. I know many of you think that red lipstick is for the night but some days we need to break the rules- Look at Gwen Stefani, she wears red everywhere (even to buy groceries) and she looks fantastic. We walked around for a while but it was so hot that the poor Chiqui was so thirsty that he tried to drink sea water (he is used to lakes so you can imagine his face). Wishing you a great week! XOXO


Si en el post anterior me sentía bohemia, en este definitivamente me sentía clásica. Tenía muchísimas ganas de ponerme unos tacones negros- pero como les he dicho, esto es lo que me pongo de verdad y creo que como me sentía no cuadraba con un domingo por la tarde con planes de ir a Miami Beach a pasear. Por esta razón me olvidé de los tacones y utilicé mis flats favoritos, la fedora es mágica- es impresionante como convierte tu look a uno casual en el instante. Pero como les digo, quería tener un toque "glam"- y la pintura de labios me pareció el toque que necesitaba. Se que muchas pensarán que este color debe ser usado solo de noche, pero ... ¿por qué no romper las reglas de vez en cuando? Mira a Gwen Stefani, ella sale al supermercado con pintura de labios roja y se ve espectacular. Volviendo al día, fuimos a Miami Beach a pasear y allá hay muchísimos parques/muelles a los que puedes llevar perros. Estaba haciendo tanto calor que nos tuvimos que ir al ratito - lo más cómico fue que Chiqui pensó que podía tomar agua del mar (ya que siempre mete la cabeza en los lagos) y si vieran la carita que puso. Creo que me extendí escribiendo, espero que tengan una bonita semana!! Un abrazo inmenso a todas!
