Last Christmas, I decided to steal a couple of vintage pieces from my mom's closet- including this skirt that used to be extremely long! I feel like the color limits me a little but I love how it looks when nudes and beiges- making the skirt the center of attention. I wore this outfit on Mother's Day; even though my mom lives in a different country, I went out with my bf (his mom doesn't live in Miami either). However, it was super sad because all we saw was moms&daughters everywhere (even the hostess at the restaurant was surprised that we were only two). But we had fun and the food was delicious- and I'm sure my mom had a great time with my brother too. How was your mother's day? How would you wear this skirt? xoxo
Cuando estuve en Navidad en Caracas, revisé el closet de mi mamá y encontré varias cositas vintage que decidà transformar- incluyendo esta falda que solÃa ser mucho más larga. Siento que el color no es tan fácil de combinar- pero me encanta como se ve con colores nude ya que asà toda la atención está en ella. Este outfit lo utilicé el dÃa de las madres, ya que la mamá de mi novio tampoco estaba en Miami: decidimos ir a comer. Pero fue super triste porque veÃamos a mamás con sus hijas (hasta abuelas, madres e hijas) en todos lados. Hasta en el restaurante se extrañaron que eramos solo dos. Pero comimos rico, y la pasamos bien- y se que mi mamá disfrutó con mi hermano también :) ¿Ustedes que hicieron el dÃa de la madre? ¿Qué ideas me dan con respecto a la falda? Abrazos!
Yesterday, I was checking one of my favorite blogs (Lovely Pepa)- and she was wearing an amazing pink blazer I wanted from Zara with Leather pants. I felt super inspired and tried to give it my own twist- I don't own a pink blazer but I have this vintage oversized shirt that can be worn over a tee. While we were taking the pictures, I decided to put my hair up in a bun (that's why there are some pics with my hair down too). About my day: I wanted to buy some high-waisted shorts and I have been looking everywhere but I can't find them! After that, I had dinner with my boyfriend and we ended up watching a movie called "limitless". How was your weekend? Happy Mother's day to all the moms out there!
Ayer estaba viendo uno de mis blogs favoritos (Lovely Pepa) y ella estaba usando un blazer espectacular rosado de Zara con pantalones de cuero. Cuando vi ese blazer en Zara, me enamoré- lo querÃa comprar pero me pareció un poco caro para el color y el tiempo que podÃa estar de moda. Me sentà super inspirada y quise darle mi toque personal- como no tengo un blazer rosado, utilicé esta camisa vintage abierta sobre una camiseta. Mientras estabamos tomando las fotos, decidà recogerme el cabello en un moño (por eso verán algunas fotos con el cabello recogido y otras con el cabello suelto). Sobre mi dÃa: estuve buscando unos shorts altos que llevo meses buscando y no encuentro en ningún lado. Luego fui a comer con mi novio y terminamos en el cine viendo la pelÃcula "Limitless". ¿Cómo pasaron su fin de semana?Feliz dÃa a todas las madres!
I feel like some days the photos are serious while other days, mi bf makes me laugh so hard that the feeling of the shoot changes completely. I bought this top during my trip to Texas last week and when I saw it, I was like "it goes perfectly with my bright pink jeans!". Then I saw my blue shoes and it was the perfect match. Finally, I added a white bag because the outfit already had plenty of color! About my day: I was super sad because my parents went back to Venezuela; then, I went to a friend's bday. I was thinking something yesterday... I would to hear how would you wear the pieces that I'm wearing- that would give me some ideas and the interaction on this blog would be completely different- Do you like the idea?
Siento que hay dÃas en los que las fotos son serias mientras que dÃas como este, mi fotógrafo se pone a molestarme y a hacerme reir- haciendo que la "sesión" sea totalmente diferente y divertida (por eso estoy muriendome de la risa en todas!). Esta camisa la compré en mi viaje a Texas la semana pasada y apenas la và dije "quiero usarla con mis pantalones rosados", luego vi los zapatos azules y tenÃa que usarlos. Finalmente agregué una cartera blanca porque ya habÃa suficiente color. Sobre mi dÃa: empezó super triste porque mis papás se fueron de Miami, después de eso acompañe a mi novio al cumpleaños de un amigo! Les querÃa pedir algo, me encantarÃa leer comentarios en todos los outfits como "con que usarÃan lo que yo estoy usando", asà me dan más ideas a mi de como combinar mi ropa y hacemos que sea más la interacción entre nosotras! ¿Qué les parece?
This is what I wore to sign some papers at the university because... I got accepted!! I'll start fashion school in July. I'm so excited to study fashion merchandising ( I wanted design at first but I had to be realistic...I'm the worst when it comes to drawing or sewing). I would love to have my own boutique one day (online and in Miami), be a stylist, personal shopper or a magazine editor (maybe all the above). I just wanted to share my happiness with you! I can't wait to start this new stage in my life!

Estoy super super emocionada- tengo tantos sueños en mente, me encantarÃa tener mi propia boutique (tanto online como fÃsica en Miami) , ser estilista, personal shopper, o editora de una revista (o todas las anteriores!) This week was extremely CRAZY, I attended the Billboards and I visited family in Texas. I came back to Miami yesterday and I had the opportunity to go to a special Procter&Gamble event called "Orgullosa de mi belleza". I loved the whole experience, we talked with Carlos Vera, celebrity stylist, who gave me several tips. The PR team told us to invited our mom or someone special. I was so excited that my mom was able to go with me, they pampered us a lot. We got our hair and makeup done, they gave us massages and we got to try a lot of Covergirl, Olay and Pantene products. I can't wait to try all the products they gave us in our gift-bag. (For more info on "Orgullosa", check out www.orgullosa.com). After that, we run to my dad's birthday- it was a bbq and it was super fun. I haven't stopped this week... now... I need to relax (and work ugh!). Happy Tuesday!! XOXO
Este fin de semana fue un corre-corre, fui a Texas para visitar a unas tÃos/primos que viven allá. Llegué ayer (martes) tempranÃsimo a Miami y salà a un evento especial de Procter&Gamble llamado Orgullosa de mi Belleza. Me encantó la experiencia, hablamos con el estilista de las celebridades Carlos Vera (el cual me dió varios consejos), probamos nuevos productos de Covergirl, Olay y Pantene. En celebración del dÃa de la madre, podÃamos invitar a nuestra mamá o a alguien especial. Lo mejor fue que mi mamá está aquà en Miami y fuimos juntas. Nos dieron masajes, nos peinaron, y nos maquillaron! Me pusieron una pintura de labios espectacular llamado "Fairytale" (de Covergirl), y me muero por probar todos los productos que nos regalaron. This wish-list was extremely hard to do, I had no idea what I wanted this month. The first thing that came to my mind was high waisted wide leg jeans because I love the 70's look. Also, I want a colorful bag, most of my bags are neutral (I still don't know which color should I buy). I also need to update my swimwear collection, specially because I live in Miami and this summer is going to be extremely hot! Finally, I would love to own a couple of bright lipsticks and nail-polishes. Finally, I'd love to add red pumps to my collection of shoes, they give a twist to any outfit.
Esta lista fue extra difÃcil de hacer, no tenÃa idea que querÃa para este mes. Lo primero que me pasó por la mente fueron unos jeans altos y bota ancha para ese look setentoso. Otra cosa que estoy super antojada es una cartera de un color fuerte (todavÃa estoy decidiendo si es morado, verde, o naranja)- Casi todas mis carteras son neutrales. También necesito actualizar mi colección de trajes de baño- especialmente viviendo en Miami y necesito prepararme para el verano. También quiero agregar unas pinturas de labios y de uñas neones. Los zapatos rojos son clásicos y le dan un toque espectacular a lo que sea que te pongas.
