I think you might have notice my weakness for sleeveless blouses- you can button them up, knot them... they work during the day (even for the beach) and for dressier occasions. There were a couple of things from this shirt that caught my eye : the stripes kind of abstract, it has two fun pockets (real pockets, you can actually put things there), and it has an asymmetrical hem that you will see when I wear it with jeans/shorts. For this look, I paired the top with classic black pieces, a fun red belt, and my favorite round sunglasses. Remember my wishlist for September? I had a pair of black strappy heels and here they are! I love that they transform any look- I was wearing black flats during the day, I went to a dog park with Chiki; and later that day I went out to eat with my family! I hope you liked the look! XOXO

Creo que se han dado cuenta que tengo una debilidad las blusas sin mangas- especialmente porque puedo abotonarlas hasta el final, anudarlas....y funcionan tanto para ocasiones más arregladitas como para el día a día. Esta blusa no es solo de unas rayitas abstractas totalmente diferentes a las rayas tradicionales, sino también es mas larguita por detrás...ya la verán cuando la utilice con un pantalón. En esta ocasión quise combinarla con una falda negra, una cartera clásica negra, una correa roja y mis nuevos lentes favoritos...los redondos. ¿Se acuerdan de mi lista de compras para septiembre? Encontré mis sandalias negras de tiritas y se que les voy a sacar mucho provecho- aparte que este tipo de sandalias transforma cualquier look, en el día utilicé esto mismo pero con flats para llegar a Chiqui al parque.... y luego en la noche para ir a comer con mis papás y tíos que están de visita. I feel like I've done this combo a thousando of times; but I really love how classic "white, black and red" is. This time I wanted to pair a polka dotted top (big big dots) with simple black skirt and I added pops of red in the belt, bag, and lipstick. I wanted to be comfortable so I forgot about wearing heels and  wore my favorite black loafers. I wore this to go to my Wednesday class (minus the red lipstick) and then I went to the movies with my boyfriend to watch "Step up: Revolution". I really liked the movie- I was a dancer for many years so I'm up for anything with cool choreographies. As you can see, I've been wearing my hair up in a bun for the past week- it's impossible to control it with the humidity in Miami! I hope you liked this combo! XOXO

Siento que he hecho esta combinación de "blanco, negro y rojo" muchísimo- pero es de mis favoritas, me parece extremadamente clásica. En esta ocasión quise combinar una camisita de lunares grandotes con una falda negra sencilla y toques rojos en el cinturón, cartera y pintura de labios. Como quería estar cómoda y la ocasión no ameritaba tacones, opté por mis mocasines negros. Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a clases el miércoles (sin la pintura de labios) y luego fui al cine con mi novio a ver "Step Up: Revolution"- y ahí si agregué la pintura de labios como para sentirme un poquito más arregladita. A mi me gustó bastante la película; aparte que la grabaron en Miami, todos los bailes estan buenísimos. He estado usando un moño alto de peinado toda la semana porque mi cabello está incontrolable en la humedad de esta ciudad. Espero que les haya gustado esta combinación, un abrazo inmenso!

This is my first outfit post from... CARACAS, VENEZUELA! I think I have already mentioned I had to come last minute because I wasn't feeling well- and it's always easier to go to the doctor in your hometown. Even though I spent two days at the doctor doing a variety of tests- everything is okay, nothing to worry about. The big conclusion: I need to eat better and exercise more! I wore this a week ago to the clinic- with loafers and a big bag to carry a book to read while waiting. But I got out earlier than I thought and I changed to wedges and a dressier bag to eat with my family. About my outfit: actually it looks very "4th of July and Independence Day" because of the colors and stars. However, I didn't plan it at all- even though I love Miami and I have been living there for 6 years, my flag will always be "yellow, blue, and red". I wanted to wear the star printed blouse with the bright blue pants, and I added the belt for an extra pop of color (it could have been green, yellow, or purple). I hope you liked it! Mi primer post desde... CARACAS! Creo que ya les había mencionado que estaba en Venezuela- vine porque no me había estado sintiendo muy bien y uno siempre se siente más cómodo yendo a doctores y eso en la ciudad donde creciste.  Les cuento que todo salió bien, nada de que preocuparse- estuve dos días completos en la clínica haciendo bastantes exámenes y la gran conclusión... tengo que comer saludable y hacer ejercicio. Esto fue lo que utilicé el primer día de examenes- solo que en la clínica tenía mis loafers negros y una cartera grande. Fue más rápido de lo que pensabamos, entonces fui a comer con mi familia y quise cambiarme los tacones y la carterita para verme más arregladita. Sobre mi outfit: se puede decir que coincidió con el "4 de julio, independencia de EEUU"  y los colores de la bandera (y aunque tenga 6 años viviendo en Miami...mi bandera es amarilla, azul, y roja :) ). De verdad que fue de casualidad; tenía esta camisa de estrellitas y quise usarla con mis jeans azules, y agregar un toque de color en el cinturón (que pudo haber sido de cualquier otro color, como verde o amarillo). Espero que les haya gustado este look y mil gracias a mi mamá por ser mi fotógrafa!!

Hey everyone! The weekend is getting closer... and I've had the longest week ever, I spent the whole day at the hospital yesterday. I wasn't feeling well, but they did a couple of tests and everything looks good so far. This is what I wore on Saturday to a pre-Mother's Day dinner with my boyfriend's family- we went to an Argentinian restaurant in Brickell called Graziannos ( I don't eat a lot of red meat, I ordered the best squash soup - you have to try it if you ever go there). During the day I wore flats, but I wanted to dress up a little for the restaurant and I added flats. After that I headed to a get-together at a friend's house;  it was "game night" ( I swear Mexican Train Domino is the best game ever) Hope you liked today's look! XOXO
