Funny story about this look....we were taking pictures right outside the hotel in Los Angeles (right by Hollywood Blvd) when a homeless guy tried to attacked me. He chase me for half a block until I found shelter in a little restaurant. I guess the crazy LA stories are true haha.

Graphic stripes are a big trend this Spring/Summer, and I thought this sweater from H&M was a great way to add the trend to my spring wardrobe. Following the color scheme of the sweater, I added a suede mustard skirt (also from H&M, I got it last year but they are recently re-stocked it for this season), and a cute studded bag from Coach that matched the white stripes.

Les tengo un cuento diferente de este look...ese día estábamos en LA y quisimos aprovechar antes de que se fuese el sol y tomar fotos justo en frente del hotel en Hollywood. De la nada un indigente empezó a perseguirme e insultarme...corrió atrás mío por media cuadra hasta que pude encontrar refugio en un restaurante pequeño. Supongo que las historias de las locuras en LA son más que ciertas.

Las rayas son una de las tendencias más importantes para esta temporada... y este suéter de H&M me pareció una manera fácil de incorporar la tendencia mientras todavía hace un poco de frío.  Lo combiné con mi falda favorita de gamuza color mostaza (también de H&M, del año pasado pero la empezaron a vender otra vez para esta temporada).  Toque final: mis botas altas y una carterita blanca de Coach que iba perfecto con las rayas blancas.

Last week, I attended a conference in California called We All Grow. I attended last year too and it was also my second year as a speaker there. 2015 was amazing and of course I was wondering how it would be this year. I have to say that Ana Flores, her Latina Blogger Connect team, and all the sponsors made this second WAG even more special.

Since I started my blog, I've had the opportunity to attend several conferences...and the vibe of this one makes it the best I have ever attended. Everyone is so supportive...together, we all grow!

This year, the conference was held in Long Beach, California (a little bit South of Los Angeles) and we stayed at a beautiful hotel called Hotel Maya (part of Double Tree by Hilton). The hotel was by the ocean, BEAUTIFUl, and I loved the mexican decor.

My roommate was one of my sweet blogger friends Erika from Lola Blue Style- and then we kind of adopted Valentina from MVTrends (she basically spent more time in our room than in hers...and half of the pictures int his post were taken by her...thanks Valen, love you).

Our trip started with a boat ride and a whole day in Catalina Island...so amazing! But more on that later. Then we rushed into the hotel because Hampton by Hilton had a special cocktail party to welcome everyone. It was the first time we were all in the same place and as you can see in the pics below, I had a blast taking silly pictures by the photo booth.

The conference officially started on Friday. There were so many inspiring panels- just when I feel like blogging has stalled, these women just keep me going. However, the best part is spending time with bloggers than I now consider close friends. Most of us live in different cities and it's great to have a fun weekend to just escape...very Seekender of us.

Because just like 90% of Latinos, it's not about the destination but WHO you are going with. And again, these women make it so special and inspiring.

Then on Friday I had my panel where we talked about Individuality in Lifestyle Blogging. I spoke with Claudia from The Penny Closet, Alana Marie Style, and Monique from Curves and Chaos. The room was full and I personally loved sharing things I've learned over the years.

La semana pasada fui a una conferencia llamada We All Grow. Este es el segundo año que soy parte de esta conferencia,  y de verdad que el año pasado fue tan increíble que no sabía si podía superarlo...pero me equivoqué: Ana, su equipo de Latina Bloggers Connect, y sus patrocinadores, hicieron de este segundo WAG aún más especial.

Desde que comencé mi blog, he tenido la oportunidad de ir a varias conferencias y de esta siempre me ha impresionado el apoyo  que se siente entre todas las personas que asisten.

A diferencia del año pasado que fue en Los Angeles, este año la conferencia fue en Long Beach, California (un poco más al sur de Los Angeles) y nos quedamos en un hotel hermoso llamado Hotel Maya (parte de Doubletree de Hilton). El hotel tenía una decoración y onda muy mexicana, muy linda.

Este año mi compañera de cuarto fue Erika de Lola Blue Style (a quien adoro muchísimo!!)- y Valentina de MVTrends fue casi mi compañera, ella pasó más tiempo en nuestro cuarto que el de ella ( sin ella, más de la mitad de estas fotos no hubiesen sido posibles...gracias Valen, tqm!).

Nuestro viaje empezó con un paseo a la Isla Catalina en bote...espectacular. Pero de eso les cuento en otro post. De ahí Hampton by Hilton nos dió bienvenida con una fiesta- en donde aprovechamos y tomamos muchas fotitos en el Photo Booth (¡¡a mi me encantan!!).

Al día siguiente comenzaron los diferentes paneles, pero lo más lindo siempre es ver a otras bloggers que se han convertido en amigas cercanas. Muchas vivimos en ciudades distintas, y es lo máximo poder escaparnos un fin de semana y compartir juntas...muy Seekender nosotras.

Por que al igual que el 90% de los Latinos, no se trata tanto del destino, si no de con quien la estas pasando. Y todas estas mujeres a las que admiro tanto son las que hacen que me encante esta conferencia.

El sábado fue mi panel, hable sobre como mantener tu individualidad en el mundo de bloggers junto a Claudia de The Penny Closet, Alana Marie Style, y Monique de Curves and Chaos. Creo que nos fue muy bien, y me gustó mucho compartir lo que he aprendido a través de los años.

When an outfit doesn't make it to the blog...I get to wear it EXACTLY twice! Whoop whoop! I wore this first to the TOUS brunc h a couple of weeks ago. That day Gabe had a wedding to shoot so he couldn't shoot me or join me at the event.

When we went to LA, I, of course, took it with me. This suede skirt is still one of my favorites...I love the colors and the scallop detail. This time I paired with a striped skirt from the Who What Wear collection from Target. I actually got 3 pieces: this sweater, the blue suede jacket,  and the long army-green vest.  I'm actually thinking of getting a couple of more pieces from that collection, there were some great pieces.

I wore these boots a lot in LA, so get ready for more posts with them!

Cuando un outfit no llega a salir en el blog, eso me da la excusa de usarlo exactamente igual otra vez. Y no crean que no repito looks, solo que siento que al ponerlos tan públicamente es como si ya te hubiesen visto con ese outfit...no se si me explico. Esto primero lo utilicé para un brunch con Tous pero Gabo estaba ocupado tomando fotos en una boda y no pudimos tomar fotos.

Pero cuando fuimos a Los Angeles la semana pasada, me lo lleve para aprovechar y tomarle fotos allá. Esta falda sigue siendo de mis favoritas, me encanta el color y el detalle en el ruede. Esta vez la combiné con un suéter de rayas de la colección de Who What Wear para Target...una colección  que me gustó muchísimo. Compre 3 cositas pero mi Target no tenía mucha variedad y online tiene más piezas.

Estas botas las usé mucho en Los Angeles..así que ya saben, las verán en varios looks. ¡Feliz día niñas hermosas!! (y niños si hay por ahí!) BESOS.

Happy FRIDAY!! Okay, so here are MORE pics from our trip to California (I'm really don't following the day by the day....so bear with me!). This was during our second day in Cali- we thought the weather was going to be nicer but apparently we were there for one of the hottest weeks of 2015. I even had some knee socks on which ended up inside my bag within minutes we stepped out of the car!

We headed to the Santa Monica Pier..we have heard so much about it that we couldn't wait to see it! At the end of the pier, there's a Ferris Wheel, a roller coaster, games, etc.  I was so excited to get on the Ferris Wheel...because I honestly think it was my first time on one. I asked my mom and she doesn't remember either haha (well, maybe I did as a child and I have no clue). The view from the Ferris Wheel was so gorgeous...and I have the pictures below to prove it <3.

¡FELIZ VIERNES! Y sigo con fotitos de nuestro viaje a California. Este día nos aventuramos al muelle de Santa Monica...y de verdad que nos gustó mucho. El único problema fue que pensabamos que iba a estar mucho más fresco y casi nos derretimos de calor...pero no éramos los únicos, todo el mundo estaba con un calorón!! Yo iba preparada a que iba a estar más fresco que en Miami que hasta tenía puestas unas medias a la rodilla que me tuve que quitar, obviamente.

Al llegar al final del muelle, hay un pequeño parque de diversiones con una rueda de la fortuna...y ¡nos montamos! Yo no me acuerdo haberme montado en una...le pregunté a mi mamá y ella tampoco se acuerda. Yo siempre he sido de montañas rusas pero no se porque no me había montado en una. La vista desde la rueda era espectacular...de verdad que fue una experiencia muy linda.

Minnie Mouse was my first style muse at age four…I remember dressing up as Minnie for several Halloweens (and I wasn’t the only one, there were at least 4 girls dressed as Minnie in my small classroom!!). And there is something so timeless about her style…polka dots, black/white/red, and big bows will always be in style.

To celebrate the launch of the Minnie inspired IG (@MinnieStyle), I’m partnering with Refinery 29 and Disney to show how Minnie has continued to inspired me throughout the years. This time, I’m wearing a polka dot crop top with a classic red midi skirt…and of course, red lips are a must.

There will always be a little Minnie in all of us…no matter how old we are.

A los 4 años, Minnie Mouse era mi ícono de moda.  Recuerdo que me disfracé varias veces de Minnie  en Carnaval en Venezuela (y no era la única, en mi pequeño salón éramos al menos 4 niñas disfrazadas de Minnie). Pero es que todo lo que es lunares, rojo/blanco/negro, y lazos...siempre estará de moda.

Para celebrar el lanzamiento del Instagram @MinnieStyle, me uno a Refinery29 y a Disney para mostrarles como Minnie me ha seguido inspirado a través de los años. Esta vez quise utilizar un crop top de lunares con una falda midi roja...y por supuesto, un labial rojo.

¡Siempre va a haber algo de Minnie en todas...sin importar nuestra edad!
