I got this pants around February and I completely forgot about them... until a couple of weeks ago when we did the "his and her klozet". These pants definitely make a statement- reason why I wouldn't recommend wearing them 3 times in the same month. However, as you can see- they are more versatile than they look. Which look is your favorite?

Estos pantalones los compré como en Enero/Febrero y me había olvidado completamente de su existencia...hasta hace unas semanas cuando hice el "his and her klozet". Son definitivamente unos pantalones muy llamativos- no recomendaría usarlos 3 veces seguidas en un mes....pero como pueden ver, si son versátiles.  ¡Cuéntame que look es tu favorito!!

This "his and her klozet" was so much fun to do. We started with these cool shirts from APTBCollective. Gabo wanted to wear his shirt with camo shorts...so I grabbed my camo pants. Then I added the hat and some dark lipstick...and he ended up wearing a hat too of a similar color of my lipstick. I guess you can see we really inspired each other on this one.  Quick parenthesis: with this segment, I'm not saying you have to go out like twins. The whole idea is to show you that you can inspired each other...and that fashion can be fun for them too. Hope you like the pics! XOXO

Este "His and Her klozet" fue divertidísimo de hacer. Empezamos con las camisas de APTBCollective....Gabo se la quiso poner con sus shorts de camuflaje- así que yo agarré mis pantalones de camuflaje. Luego yo le agregué el sombrero y la pintura de labios vinotinta- y Gabo de ahí quiso usar una gorra del mismo color que la pintura. Supongo que se puede decir que nos inspiramos uno al otro. Cabe acotarque esto no lo utilizamos el mismo día; la idea no es decirles que tiene que salir de gemelitos a la calle. Mi misión con esta sección es mostrarles que podemos compartir inspiración al momento de vestirnos. Espero que disfruten estas fotos!!

I know! I know.. I need to start posting my pictures from NYC ASAP; but I still have this look before my trip for fashion week. I just don't like skipping days and looks... I always end up forgetting to post them. I wore this the day before my flight to do some last-minute errands and to go to school. For that I choose my camouflage pants- but this time I paired them with very casual pieces for a laid-back look (which included my favorite sneakers wedges, a kitty tee, and a hat). Talking about hats... when I was little, I use to hate them and my mom always wanted me to wear them. I don't know why in the last year, I became obsessed with them.. they add a trendy/cool touch to any outfit. And... as you can tell, I didn't lie when I said I didn't want to take off this hat in particular (I've worn it in the past three looks and I even brought it to NYC). I hope you liked this outfit! Sé que les debo las fotos de NYC- la he pasado increíble aquí; pero no quiero estar brincando días ya que luego se me olvidan publicar looks... y me vuelvo un desastre. Este look fue del día antes de viajar a NYC para hacer unas diligencias e ir a la universidad. ¿Vieron que era verdad que no me quiero quitar este sombrero? ...hasta me lo traje a Nueva York! Cuando era chiquita, a mi mamá le encantaba ponerme sombreros y yo los odiaba (tanto así que hasta hace poco, les huía- pero ahora me fascinan...me parece que le dan un toque relajado y cool a cualquier outfit). Esta vez quise volver a utilizar mis pantalones con estampado de camuflaje- pero con look mucho más casual. Lo cual incluyó una camisa de "gatito", mis sneakers con plataforma,  y una cartera negra básica. Espero que les haya gustado esta combinación, un abrazo inmenso!!!!

I had an extremely long-but-fun Sunday with 5 Miami bloggers and the Pavan Liqueur team. Since I'm waiting for the photos of the actual event, I decided to share the pictures of what I wore first. I knew I wanted to wear this fun camouflage pants I just found at Forever 21. At first I had a super casual look ok... sneakers and everything. But I ended making the outfit more "classy" with a timeless white blouse and cap toe pumps.... a combo that never fails. The necklace is amazing- itused to be Ana's (Chic Streets and Eats), and I love that it has silver and gold tones... that way it's easier to mix them in your outfit.

El domingo tuve un día larguísimo pero espectacular junto a otras 5 bloggers y el equipo de Pavan Liqueur. Ya que estoy esperando las fotitos del evento como tal, quise compartir primero lo que utilicé como tal. Sabía que quería usar estos pantalones de camuflaje que acababa de encontrar en Forever 21- primero tenía en mente una combinación super casual... que probablemente termine utilizando esta semana porque estoy enfiebrada con mis pantalones nuevos. Quise optar por una combinación un poquito más "clásica" pero los pantalones le dan un toque divertido. La camisa flaca y unos zapatos puntiagudos nunca fallan. El collar era de Ana- Chic Streets & Eats- de casualidad lo agarré en el intercambio al que fui la semana pasada y me encanta porque mezcla accesorios dorados+plateados (combinación que nos da miedito hacer).

Aprovecho para recordarles que apenas tienen 24 horas para votar por mi y ganar un viaje a Paris y a la Riviera Francesa para dos personas por 5 días. Last Sunday I had the opportunity to attend a private blogger brunch at Macys- there most of the Miami fashion bloggers got the change to talk and get to know the purse designer Danielle Nicole. Hearing her talk about her success at such a young age was so inspiring. She told us she used to wear her bags every day to her first internships at Bergdorf Goodman (she would make them at her dorm). And her plan work...she got picked up to do a cosmetic bag - and then her bags were all over Saks and Neiman Marcus. However, after the economic crisis she wanted to focus on an affordable line... and nowadays her bags are under $100. At the end of the event, we got to keep a fabulous bag... can't wait to wear it!

About my outfit: since it was on a Sunday afternoon...all I wanted to be is comfortable. So I went for a simple combo that never fails: black shorts and a white tee. However to make it a little trendy, I added the camouflage jacket- perfect timing for the challenge. Finally I added a chunky collar that's actually a bag strap and some platform sneakers ( I guess this week is "wedge sneaker week" on the blog). Have an amazing day! XOXO

El domingo pasado me invitaron a un "brunch" privado para las blogueras de moda en Miami de Macys- aquí compartimos con la diseñadora de carteras Danielle Nicole. Escucharla hablar de su éxito a tan corta edad fue más que inspirador; nos contó como en su primera pasantía en Bergdorf Goodman usaba sus carteras (hechas en su cuarto) para que alguien de la compañía de fijara en ellas. Y su plan le resultó..y al poco tiempo sus carteras estaban en Saks y Neiman Marcus - nada más y nada menos. También nos contó que después de la crisis económica, quiso dedicarse a hacer carteras al menor precio posible... y ahora todas sus carteras cuestan menos de $100 ( y se ven como si costaran miles!!). Al final del evento nos regalaron una a cada una de las blogueras...ya la verán por aquí.

Sobre mi outfit: como fue un domingo, quería estar extremadamente cómoda- no quería arreglarme demasiado. Así que quise utilizar esta chaqueta de camuflaje para el reto de la semana; opté por una combinación sencillísima que nuca falla (si, camiseta blanca y shorts negros). Finalmente terminé con una cadena de cartera como collar y unos sneakers con plataforma (esta ha sido como la semana de "sneakers con plataforma en el blog). FELIZ DIA!!
