Here are more pics from our quick trip to NYC a couple of weeks ago! I brought a small carry on to my trip with versatile pieces I could remix easily...reason why I didn't post all the NYC post together. I wore this to my fitting and then to eat and walk around NYC....we love getting lost in NYC, we always find the most gorgeous little corners! Hope you like the pics! XOXO

Like I mentioned on the last post with the striped set, I couldn't wait to wear them as separates too. So for the second post with LOVERS + FRIENDS and Lookbook.nu, I wore the crop top with a mini skater skirt for a comfy look. I wore this to have lunch with one of my best friends from Miami and then we went to a couple of bridal stores. Yes, I finally tried on wedding dresses!! While driving there, I saw this cool german neighborhood that I have never seen before and I thought it was perfect for the pics! Hope you liked it! XOXO

Como les conté en el post anterior, las piezas del set de rayas se ven lindÃsimas por separado también. Para el segundo post con LOVERS + FRIENDS y Lookbok.nu, quise utilizar el top cortito de rayas con una mini falda negra para un look totalmente cómodo para el dÃa. Esto lo utilicé para ir a ver vestidos de novia con una de mis mejores amigas de Miami; estuvimos por la Miracle Mile, una calle llena de tiendas de novia. Pero siento que es un look perfecto para ir a almorzar con tus amigas, hacer diligencias, etc. Cuando estaba manejando para la Miracle Mile, vimos esta urbanización con arquitectura un poco alemana. Asà que aprovechamos y tomamos las fotitos ahÃ. Les mando un abrazo grandÃsimo!!

The next stop of the cruise was Cartagena (Colombia); which is definitely one of my favorite cities in Latin America. I went with my family in 2008 and we stayed there for a week; so we had more time to explore the city. This time was definitely a quick stop (the ship arrived at noon and we were leaving around 9pm). You could say that we did the typical tour four times: with the taxi, walking, horse carriage ride, and in a Chiva (an open type of party bus with music...regularly vallenatos). I wore a fun romper from Iconica, my panama hat, and some comfy oxfords. Hope you like the pics below!

La siguiente parada fue Cartagena de Indias, Colombia...una de mis ciudades favoritas. Tuve la oportunidad de ir con mi familia en el 2008 y me encantó; esa vez pasamos una semana completa. En esta ocasión fue una parada veloz; el barco nos dejó al mediodÃa y salÃamos a las 9 de la noche. Se puede decir que hicimos un recorrido de la parte amurallada 4 veces: primero con el taxi que nos dejó, luego caminando, después en carroza, y finalmente en chiva. La pasamos muy chevere, estuvimos en familia todo el tiempo y Cartagena de verdad que es una ciudad hermosÃsima. Después de caminar muchisimo, nos montamos en una Chiva con vallenatos - y ahà hicimos diferentes paradas tÃpicas. Utilicé un romper de Iconica, mi sombrero de ala ancha, y unos zapatos cómodos. ¡Espero que les gusten las fotitos abajo!

There's something magical about flowy maxi dress.. I always wear them when I have no idea what to wear- or when I want to be comfortable but still look put together. I wore this last week to go to my boyfriend's house for his sister's birthday. It was a small get-together but I always have a need to dress up a little more to be with his family. I wanted to wear flats or a small heel- but I'm so short that all maxi dresses are VERY long on me. The dress is also very sheer on top- reason why I went for my favorite bra: the bralette (I have it in several colors and different styles). I hope you liked the look and have an amazing week!!!

Siento que hay algo mágico en los vestidos largos con movimiento...siempre los utilizo cuando no tengo idea de que ponerme o cuando simplemente quiero estar cómoda (pero arreglada). Esto lo utilicé para ir al cumpleaños de la hermana de mi novio- y por muy pequeña que sea la reunión...siempre siento la necesidad de arreglarme un poquito más con su familia (estoy segura que muchas de ustedes me entienden). Hubiese querido usar unos zapatos más bajitos, pero todos los vestidos largos me quedan...largos! El vestido es bastante transparente en la parte de arriba; por eso recurrà a los bralettes (tengo strapless y de muchos colors...son lo mejor ya que si se ve, es solo un poco de encaje). ¡Espero que les haya gustado este look y que tengan una bonita semana!
