Polka dot & Pink nail art for Valentines- with Sally Hansen & U by Kotex

Thursday, February 6, 2014

Valentine’s day is right around the corner; and today I’m partnering with U by Kotex, and Target to show you two easy nail art tutorials using pink (but you can use any colors you like). I’m not the best at nail art- reason why these are extremely easy to do.

Hope you liked these two mini nail tutorials. The best part is that U by Kotex is having a special offer where you get a FREE Sally Hansen Salon Manicure nail polish when you buy U by Kotex at any Target.

Let's start...

__________

1.     Start by applying any color as your base color. I used a bright pink.
2.     Use a piece of paper to spill a couple of drops of  another nailpolish; depending on your base color, the dots can be lighter or darker. I used a matte white for the dots.
3.     Use the back of a nail to do the dots; depending on the diameter of the nail, the bigger the dots.
4.     And that’s it!

_____________

4.  ¡Y listo!!

1.     Apply your base color. I use a light pink almost nude; but again you can use any color you want.
2.     When the nail polish is fully dry, use tape and cover the part you want to keep the base color. I used the sticky part of post-its and I place the tape diagonally. You can also use blue tape.
3.     Apply a second color. Since this is a Valentine’s special, I used the same bright pink.
4.     Let it dry.
5.     Use a piece of paper to spill a couple of drops of  the same nailpolish.
6.     Using the back of a nail; do some dots along the diagonal line with the second color you used. This time, I used a small nail; hence the smaller dots…

Finish up with a top coat and that was it!!
